  • '72 people don't have ears.

  • this song is fun.

  • This sucks.

  • LOVE it!!

  • WOWOWOWOW. two of my favorite bands coming together NICE!

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG.

  • 1:21 Dat drop.

  • @ClaireMangoify Wat drop.

  • @Hayashigame Da drop at 1:21

  • @ClaireMangoify What's dropping? The beat?

  • @Hayashigame Have you ever heard of a drop in music? Mainly in dubstep? It's just a folky version of that.

  • @ClaireMangoify You still haven't told me what dropped. I know it's not the beat, because I have ears. Furthermore I don't think dubstep is a prime example of "music", but rather a sequence of synthetic noise in both 3/4 and 4/4 time. Now please, tell me what dropped.

  • @Hayashigame I was just kimd of 'spoofing' what people say on dubstep videos. Calm down. And also, anything is music, so don't be snobby.

  • @ClaireMangoify Alright, alright. I'm sorry. It's just that I sort of got my hopes up since I usually love when the beat drops in things like Daft Punk or Deadmau5 or the soundtrack from Drive.

  • @Hayashigame its a drop. accept it.

  • mumford and sons is well passed the underground stage, id defiently say they are main stream

  • I have recently discovered that this great song was written about the English ice skating sensation Robin Cousins. That was an unforgettable performance when he skated with Jane Torvil and won Englands only gold medal. This was also the year we presented "Eddie the Eagle" to the world. It was certainly no mistake when they named this place, Great Britain.

  • This cover...is amazing. It makes me want to dance forever with a shitload of dogs and cats.

  • I started hyperventilating when I found out this existed. One of my favourite bands covers a song by another one of my favourite bands. Wonderful, just wonderful.

  • this is better than the original..

  • Ew mumford and sons

  • Does anyone know if this is available on any album?

  • Music you think is bad is good to someone else. Just like beauty, music is in the eye of the beholder.. If you don't like it simply don't listen to it.

  • Perfection. x

  • @mrlovett100 im utter shit? good comeback there and not all music is great, this falls under the category of great but all the MAINSTREAM shite doesnt

  • @AndThatsEverything so your basically agreeing with me in the sense its not mainstream, ok not every piece of music is "great" but sound that people have put effort and time into makes them great, its called just being positively open to music pal

  • there's something about when marcus sings "it's a line that's always running" makes me love him 1000x more.

  • perfection.

  • This is just brilliant

  • Cool, so if you dont like this music, don't com on. If you are here to enjoy this kind of music, don't bitch about music you hate. Stop being idiots, trolls, etc.

  • @1120percyjacksonrox they are ok, just wayyy to mainstream... see what i did there ;) nah in all seriousness they have about 1 or 2 songs that are OK, but they are in my personal opinion not part of the "ALL MUSIC IS GREAT".

  • I love the folk take on this song. I couldnt love mumford and sons anymore... And if i did it would be creepy!

  • I like music

  • @mrlovett100 All music is great? Dude there are so many really bad songs. Even you dislike someone! I also know many metalheadz who really dislike 'mainstream' music so not just indie 'bastards' think that's bad music..

But I also just can't say that, always the same beat like david guetta, etc uses and such edited voices that just sound always similar and these in videos naked danicn girls who are just famous because they sell their body is good music! I really can't.

  • @mightyroot you have a point, but it annoys me when people group music types and hate them just because of that, i do agree with you aswell though!

  • @mrlovett100 I usually don't just hate a group. I think in quite every genre are good songs. Also if it isn't my taste in music. I respect all artists. As far as they don't copy and sell it as their music. And as far as it isn't the same shit all time long. But I really have bad experiences with mainstream. With the people and the music in general. But I have to say there r some 'mainstream' songs I like but in general I really dislike it

But I know what u mean u can't judge all people as one

  • @mightyroot im glad you respect all artist, every should, they are just trying to make a living entertaining people and doing what they love but yeh like you agreed music shouldnt be catagorized into groups like mainstream because what the fuck is mainstream? just some heavy headed bellends opinion on a song.. its not right.

  • @mrlovett100 Every should yeah. And that's good that they do what they love, every should (as far as it doesn't affect bad to the others....). One example why I dislike music more when many people know it: Lil home party at my place. Sure people where there. We were listening music (drum n bass) and I chose the songs. One guy 'that's a piece of shit what the fuck is that???? Such crappy music!!!' Ok np I mean he could have said it different but ok np no big deal.

  • @mrlovett100 But what got me very angry than was that about after 2-3 months these guys (not just one said he dislike the music) ALL were listening to dnb and they felt sooooooo cool that they were listening to dnb now. WOW really cool! Really! u r something special now and so badass!!!!!! I just thought FUCK YOU. And sure he just liked it as it became famous ;))))

I sadly have to meet such situations often. You can understand me now a bit better?

  • @mightyroot i have been in tha exact situation, well give or take, but yes, its fucking irritating. Peoples music taste can change but no one should question other peoples tastes, not saying you are, that guy did to you, its a personal thing music taste. i get you dude

  • @mightyroot You're right, I think there is tonnes of shit music out there but what I like and hate may be completely different to somebody else. To me when people argue about music taste. It's like arguing about food taste who gives a fuck, people like different stuff.

  • @mightyroot I hate it when people dislike music just because it becomes famous that annoys me. Even though most music that is really mainstream takes no talent. You are definitely right there. It pisses me off like you say that a lot of famous songs all have zero talent and you might go see a local band which are soo talented and soo good but have been on the local scene for ages and haven't got famous for making awesome music.

  • @heffaslunchprime As I already said, I don't dislike music because it's well known, but 99% of this mainstream songs have a special sound which I dislike and so I can say I dislike mainstream I think. Cuz these music has to have a special sound which makes it so good for most of the people. But there r a few songs I love or like which are mainstream too but most of em r just a huge piece of shit. But I don't dislike em just because many people know it.

  • @heffaslunchprime Also when I have to admit that I prefer unknown artists more than these famous ones. (Not always but often) And yeah I agree it's about the taste what you think is good and what is bad music but you can say the music is produced bad and I definitely say that it's like that with most of the mainstream.

  • @heffaslunchprime I mean yeah respect that so many people like the music you make and that these people know how to make music yeah thats right but if you copy and just make similar beats and sounds I think thats no good music.

And that's one of the reasons why I think mainstream is bad music. Doesn't matter if you like it or not. But I also have to say that 'low quality' produced tracks can be really cool too because the artists have talent. But I think that's not the case at david guetta etc.

  • @mightyroot I agree, It escapes me how people can seriously listen to that boppy sort of pop music. That's why it makes me happy when music like mumford and sons, bon iver, jose gonzalez get popular. it makes me happy because people get exposed to such good music and they will hopefully stay with that music, if you know what I mean.

  • @mightyroot this is so true

  • 2 of my favorite groups interesting sound

  • 1:20-1:34 horrible

  • My 2 favorite groups together. Hmmmmmm love it!

  • @ipodrobby2599 same <3

  • @mrlovett100 you chat utter shit, mainsteam is a pile of wank, this is amazing!

  • @AndThatsEverything your utter shit, and i know, hence the ALL MUSIC IS AMAZING, this is part of that...

  • don't hate on the kings, they are doing better than all of you posters. I challenge any of you to make a better album than the Kings or Mumford? no you all fail

  • both bands are great

  • @OcayJake I like this version 2 but i have to agree the vampire weekend version is better

  • It's sounds very cool. It's a lil slow for me though.

  • I think this is one of the best covers I've heard. The lyrics are awesome and an absolute credit to Vampire Weekend for writing them, but I can't help preferring this version to listen to. I'd love Mumford to record a proper studio version of this track.

  • AnnaGoesToThePark. That line "too slow to escape you" just made my day. Should have told you weeks ago that it makes me chuckle every time I read it.

  • GET ONE THING STRAIGHT, THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS MAINSTREAM YOU INDIE BASTARDS, all music is great. ALL MUSIC. (with the exception of bieber and one direction, fucking hate them)

  • @mrlovett100 yo man i think your caps buttons broken

  • @TheNorthernComfort no, its works, see.

  • @mrlovett100 bore off mate your having a laugh!! MAINSTREAMS MORE EXISTIVE THAN THE SUN

  • @Faragnigskni cool story bro ;)

  • @mrlovett100 Only daycent thing about this comment is the last line of it.

  • @KevCahir i wish i could make sense of this...

  • @mrlovett100 @mightyroot Who really can decided what is "good" music and what "isn't." So many people that I know like so many different kinds of music. If I took their word for it when they told me what was "bad" music to listen to, I'd have no music left to listen to. So there is no "good" and "bad" music, just music that people like and dislike. ...just thought I'd set that straight. It's been bothering me for a while.

  • @AbbehRose actually man, you are dead right, music is marmite, you love the music presented to your ears, or you dont and you stop it. no im glad you got that off your chest, cheers abby im guessing? :)

  • @mrlovett100 all music is great? listen brazilian funk music man. your timapi gonna explode :D

  • @KingArcher8x not to sure what timapi meanssss but ill take a look and get back to you :')

  • @mrlovett100 timpani* sorry

  • @KingArcher8x i'm confused? haha how do you mean? :)

  • @mrlovett100 man, your head gonna explode :D

  • @KingArcher8x i seriously think i will. Im worried. lmao

  • @mrlovett100 You contradict yourself idiot. Also, I disagree... there is such a thing a mainstream music.... popular songs that appear on the radio frequently and are financially supported by producers, which is different from idie music, produced by artists who are independent.

  • @090256090256 , No i didnt you goober, where did i? if your refering to the pass i made at bieber and one direction, i think you need to look up "sense of humour" on google and take notes. NO WRONG AGAIN. mainstream music is just a catagory that piticular music is put into if a majority or large croud follow or like them or if the music is similar to other songs, its all bullshit. YOUR A "MAINSTREAM" TROLL THEN, to many people "frequently" commenting things like you have such done.

  • @090256090256 and... Yes that is the deffinition on indie, 10 points to griffindor! No where did i say it wasn't or mention anything about how they are different actually, i clearly say how ALL MUSIC IS GREAT, not catagorized.

  • @mrlovett100 So music YOU like is great, mhm? Isn't it just a matter of TASTE!? Why would we discuss what's good music and what isn't. We should just ENJOY the music that WE love. And for me, Mumford&Sons is number 1. Thanks. (:

  • @MusicGivesmeasmile TO ME YES YOU FAG. taste is a personal view on music about what YOU as a person likes, not about the music itself and the quality and effort. You just kinda contradicted yourself, listen to what you like, thats what im saying but im also saying that just because people catagorize music it shouldn't be put down. P.s i like your name

  • @mrlovett100 Well, that's okay. I guess that we both agree that music is great and everyone has their own taste. I maybe did not understand your message right. Or you didn't get what I wanted to say. But it doesn't really matter. (: P.s. Thank you

  • @mrlovett100 WE'RE indie bastards? The ones commenting on the Mumford & Sons video. Hmm. So what does that make you again, sir? The one commenting on the Mumford & Sons video with us..

  • @Ellactricity That makes me a person who is standing up for normal music without catagorizing it as INDIE you silly clegnutt. im commenting because people reply to the one comment i made about three monthes ago. so im going to reply. jeeeeee's.

  • @mrlovett100 hahaha! in my humble opinion kind sir, i must disagree. ALL music is good? personally, i only like a very small amount of music played on the radio, which is what is classified as "mainstream." i find undiscovered artists much more appealing, and you don't have to be indie to appreciate music that isn't widely known. however, the mumfords are getting the recognition they deserve, but they will always stay true to themselves.

  • @MyDearIndigoRose I think he is suggesting that bad music shouldn't be categorized as music as a whole, which I can agree with.

  • Oh gosh that's cool.

  • The best part about being a mainstream dumbass is that I get to like them both.

  • Much worse than the original. His voice does not fit the song and just sounds bad. The original is one of the best songs of the 2000's and it doesnt not need a cover.

  • @OcayJake I have to disagree. I used to like vampire weekends version but this makes the original sound like a pile of shit. Mumford has ten times more talent anyway

  • All the arguing on this video draws attention away from the song, people need to learn to get along and just appreciate music

  • My life is complete.

  • I have never been a fan of vampire weekend ( they are amazing writers but the music isn'ty style- I prefer folk like Mumford)

This makes original seem kind of... disgusting

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG

  • what the fuckyfuck! Can't you sing anything and make it sound bad! Ugh, your voices make me wan a child so i can play ur cd's as a lullaby! (old school Helga patacki love sigh!) <3

  • @inkster69 YOUR A FUCKING BRAINLESS TWAT!

YOU OBV HAVE A IQ OF A TEASPOON :@

  • @Smoquish lol get trolled.

  • @inkster69 LOL I HOPE YOU'RE JOKING

  • @inkster69 lol why are you even on this side of Youtube

  • @letshitbitch lol its called a joke, this side of youtube is too stupid to take one.

  • @inkster69 gotcha gotcha gotcha, my bad. you know there's always that ONE PERSON thats gotta hate though. You'll be watching like a Red Hot Chili Peppers video and they'll be like, "omg [ridiculous artist that's not even near the same genre] is way better"

  • @letshitbitch lmao ik thats why i name two terrible artists lmao.

  • Good grief can't people just have fun with music anymore? Like both versions, but they have that speed and energy in two different ways.

Still I can't believe that human fingers can move that fast.

  • I love this so much

  • I think this is pretty good idk they're good Vampire Weekend's good and I think they were able to mumford it quite nicely uh I'm not saying I like this version better than the original or anything idk it's just different ok

  • Mumford and Sons are a very dangerous band in the sense that they have the ability to put an already written song in their own original context and make the original version of that song sound like an absolute disgrace. This is almost too good...

  • Comment removed

  • The biggest douche in the world was right (Liam Gallanger) they do look like like The Amish!

  • wow... one of my favorite bands covering one of my other favorite bands. this is awesome :]

  • 1:23 HOLY SHIT! i jumped out my chair..

  • I wish this had never happened.

  • they completely missed the mark... god damn, this is horrible.

  • I love both bands, but I really dont like this cover. I dont think it has the energy the original has. sorry :(

  • i now hate vampire weekend. and my life.

  • IN LOVE, MY FAVE BANDS TOGETHER, BOOYAH

  • Haha gay

  • oh god. genius to have them do this cover.

  • both my fave bands mixed yey

  • I love Vampire. This is awesome

  • I prefer this to the original.

  • Btter then the original. :-)

    <3

  • I like this better than the original. <3 ;-)

  • Mumford and Sons, I love you and all, but

stick with what you do best, and that is NOT this song.

  • suck suck.

  • Yawnnnnnnn.....I fell asleep listening to this.

  • HIPSTER OVERLOAD

  • WHAT. WHAT IS THIS BEAUTY. COULD IT BE?

  • >w< I have to say I like this version more. ♥

  • ok kings of lion has started to go down hill ever since they sold out on sex on fire and use somebody and are now too mainstream trust me I LOVE old school kings of leon, and vampire weekend isnt my favorite, so no they shouldnt jam together.

  • @annagoestothepark youre trying to tell me that kings of leon are half the band that mumford and sons or vampire weekend are? youre a retard

  • Oh my

This is sooooo much better than the original

  • I like mumford so nothing personally to them... but not to fond of this cover. Maybe it's because im such a vw fan.

  • OMG OMG OMG NOOOOO WAYYYYY!!!!! was just listening to Mumford & sons, started listening to vampire weekend and found this little nugget of joy on accident >xB

  • @pagra101 kings of Leon are not on the same level as vampire weekend or Marcus mumford, they're total sell outs and far too mainstream

  • @ziggy2316 'far too mainstream' Are you kidding me? It's people like you who are ruining the entire music scene with your pretentious 'indie' comments. You shouldn't judge music by its fanbase you retard. I bet you're one of those people who tells everyone who's too slow to escape about how you ''found these bands like a year ago, like, when they were just starting out. They're so mainstream now, oh my gosh..'' Just fuck off you douchebag, you're making yourself look like a music-snob twat.

  • @AnnaGoesToThePark lol sooo true!

  • @AnnaGoesToThePark

    @ziggy2316

    Thumbs up Anna!

  • @ziggy2316 you should really listen to their earlier stuff, theyre really good in my opinion

  • KOL! lol but seriously, KoL is a great band, styles change, but doesnt every band? Bob Dylan was boo'ed when he first picked up an Electric guitar, but he is by far one of the greatest musicians of all time. and people can have there own opinions about artists like Kings of Leon, but just know there is a large fanbase out there that will get offended if you insult a band like them, or any band for that matter

  • Sleepyhead is a terrible song and therefore doesn't belong to Mumford and Sons.

  • Does anyone have the chords? Or tabs?

  • @xlovelyfreak

    @blindnukka

kings of leon dont suck... turn on the radio and you can see which kind of music sucks.

you can say that kings of leon is not that kind of music you like or something like that but you cant say that it sucks cause than you dont know nothing about music.

by the way im not a wanker... im a girl

  • @veronique452 kings of leon had 2 decent albums at first, but everything after taht was pretty garbage. the singer even changed his singing style to appeal to a wider fan base. i mean if that's not selling out than idk what is. but i dont care much for terms like that, i just think they aver the epitome of average now

  • @aresnalgunna11

i have to agree with you that the first two albums were better than the last two (i think the third one was the best, but anyway) but they dont suck, the dont even want to seem sold out or something, i mean come on you cant say that a band who toured with THE STROKES (my fav) whos been their opening act, can be a bad band right?

  • AMAZING.

  • I would seriously pay 100 dollars+ to see a kings of leon concert opened up by mumford and sons.....to me this would be the greatest concert ever!

  • Winnie really brought it home on this one :) (if you don't know he plays the banjo)

  • @Irishpunked

glad to see i'm not the only one with a playlist dedicated solely to mumford and sons

  • @Pagra101 what if you add Fleet foxes, mate?

  • i littrally coldnt stop smilling whe ni saw that mumford and sons played that song cause that song i love too :D

  • This sounds pretty legit.

  • This is so awesome. Love some Mumford and Vampire Weekend.

  • oh my god i like this

  • @lauralou891 easy motherfucker, they just dont know

  • @FatTrevorFrightensUs

Herpderp. Why did you not check the list of songs on Sigh No More before you bought it to make sure 'Cousins' was on it? They never promoted this song as being on the album. You're either are very bad troll, or very stupid.

  • This song is a goddamn abomination.

  • @lhpsbass1

    your being is an abomination.

  • @lhpsbass1

I love M&S more than I like to admit, but I agree 100%. This is just terrible.

  • I love them both so much. This is fantastic. (:

  • This... is incredible. Wow!

  • Holy poop! I feel unworthy of being able to listen to this!!

  • Better than the original. Please dont hurt me.

  • This absolutely makes my life.

  • Love this soooo much <3
