Scan on "Berger sediba hybrid" and see cbsnews article where he called this a "hybrid".
Hybrid Theory went public in May '06 by Eric Lander, Nick Patterson.
Time magazine reference in Oct 09, '06 "That could explain why some of the most ancient fossils now considered human ancestors have such striking mixtures of chimp and human traits - some could actually have been hybrids."
Latest news on Neanderthal shows it almost certainly is hybrid.
It really cracks me up how linear people think our evolutionary cycle runs. It is time to toss out the tree paradigm and look at ourselves as a part of the lineage, and not the apex. There are many different hominids that used to exist, but died out. We may never know, at least in our lifetimes, where we come from exactly. They just found out that we may have been genetically incompatible with Neandertals. Others think that they interbred and made us. DNA is the answer. Not obtainable in fossils
@blazereef Yes, but it is still not 100%. I know, give it a chance. I am. It is incredible how far we became, but we have only stumbled upon a much bigger story.
@KJOSCOT of coarse, alot of people dont trust science because it hasnt got all the answers (weird bceause they always seem to go towards a religion which has all the wrong answers) but i know science is good enough and has a good enough track record
@blazereef It is not a question of trusting science. Until technique has raised the confidence levels stalwartly, no one should absolutely believe in them. The method of science is tried and tested and is now widely used. After 150+years of study, the 'Family Tree,' has now become more of a complex bush. Each organism has been re categorised into newer specified clades. However, it is not wrong to trust in faith either. To deny that there is a God is a faith statement in itself.
WHAT A DEEP VOICE.

@KJOSCOT yes, now scientists use cladistics.
