Its really a bit disappointing that - not even with the new 720p hd displays - no other company made up a display with the same or higher ppi. Theyre getting close, but this retina display was for sure a very good argument a year ago.

Yeah, with regards to the WiFi, you would have thought the Apple engineers would have configured some method of network throttling to ensure that the demo would have the gone better. It would have been quite simple to do.

If you see it in person it's really a great display, I've seen it. But those 300 ppi...I don'st think you need more than that. First of all you can't tell the difference anymore and second of all this would really matter if you were reading ebooks. And who wants to read an ebook on such a little display?

I honestly think the difference between the casual display and the new retina display cant be seen thru this presentation. I personally think it should be experienced first hand.

can I have opinions by user about the double sided glass? does it protect the device or does it make it a focal point of future damaged and wear and tear?

i have tried the ip4 in an apple store, and the retina screen is mind blowing. however, some of the old app thumbnails came up a bit pixelated, probably due to the fact that they havent updated yet. but the resolution of those apps were still very good. as for the glass, i have read reviews and stories about people dropping their iphone4s and having it cracked either on the front or the back. so yes, the ip4 has a less tendency to scratch, but it is also more vulnerable to cracking.

@metamofia well apple just had a press conference this morning. they said that the death grip isnt that bad and it happens to all smartphones, and that it has just been exaggerated by the media. but they are still going to give away free bumpers to anyone who buys an ip4 b4 sept 30, and since they dont have enough, you can pick from a variety of cases. i tried to do the death grip at an apple store and it didnt do anything to the bars or signal, but probably becuz that store had great reception.

@JSconfuse It actually does make a big difference. Often when you view a web page on a standard pixel density display, you can't see any of the typically sized text without having to zoom in. It's really nice on a Retina display where you can see all of the text without having to zoom in at all. You get a bird's eye view of the web page and it's really awesome.

Das APPLE (Eigentlich von LG aber Apple gibt alles als das eigene aus)Retina IPS Display ist nix im Vergleich mit einem Samsung Elektronics Super AMOLED Display.

Das Super Amoled Display hat zwar nicht so einen hohen ppi wert(300ppi), aber wenn der Mensch nur 300 erkennt ist es egal.

Das Super Amoled Display ist einfach besser und Apple soll nicht alles als das Beste darstellen wenns nicht stimmt
