The ECL is alot harder to win tho, as in the league, you can afford slip ups (although Arsenal never made any), in ECL its harder coz both team are really going for it, quiet often in the League the small team tend to sit back and maybe aim just to get a draw, but in ECL that dosnt happen, especially when the ECL was the European Cup, it had alot less team which made it more difficult, also it was just the Champs of each league in it, so it was extreamly difficult.

When AC Milan and the Real Madrid of the 50s were practcally unbeatable, which is how the greatest teams should be, also the greatest teams had no weakness they had the greatest player in not just 3 or 4 positions like this Barca but all over the team were ledgends. This Barca team has Alves who cant Defend, at Left back there extreamly weak, Busquets is decent but no more than decent and there very light in attack with Messi. The Barca team of the 90s that was the true Barca dream team.

Arsenal did go unbeaten but they never came close to winning the ECL which is the most important factor when comparing these teams. Ive made an exception for Juventus coz they played in Serie A when it was going through one of its best era's so it was extreamly tough to win 1 but they managed 3 Scudetto wins, also the players they had were far superior to Chelsea and Arsenal (Cannavaro, Thruam, Nedved, Buffon, Del Piero, Trezega, Ibrahimovic, Emerson, Zambrotta, Camoronasi).

Anyway say recent history is from the past 10 years, so greatest Club teams.

1: AC Milan 2003

2: Barcelona 2011

3: Juventus 2004 - 2006

4: Real Madrid 2002

5: Inter Milan 2010/Man Utd 2008

AC Milan of 2003 is the most underrated of all time, Defensvly they were an absolute rock, ledgends like Maldini, Nesta, Cafu, R.Costa, Sheveshenko, Inzaghi, Costacuta, Seedorf, Pirlo.

@10nickthered Do you mean today like the team they have now? if so I disagree, them getting kocked out at the ECL group stage proves they arnt 2nd or 3rd. 1: Barcelona 2: Real Madrid 3: AC Milan 4: Juventus 5: Bayern Munich 6: Man Utd 7: Inter Milan 8: Napoli 9: Man City 10: Arsenal A good run in the ECL is the most important thing thats why even as a Milan fan I havnt rated our past 4 teams (since 2007) in the top 5 or 6. (unless like Arsenal your knocked out by Barcelona).

@RicardoVilla4 The reason Arsenal is above Barcelona is because a team wins the CL every single year. But to win a title in the league without losing never happens. And todays Barca team has gone 31 games without losing in the league. That Arsenal team went 49.

@Scudeyyy I actually agree with you, Arsenal of 2003-2004 were better than this Barca team, coz persoanlly I think this Barca team shows how much Football has declined, some consider it the greatest team of all time yet it lost against Arsenal last season, an Arsenal side far weaker than the one of 2003 also AC Milan with half there team injured managed to get a decent 2-2 draw at Nou camp then nearly beat Barca at San Siro. So yeah I think Arsenal of 2003 are easily capable of beating Barca.

@10nickthered Yeah, Man Utd have an only a decent squad, thats why they were knocked out in the group stage, for example how many Man Utd players would get into the Bayern Munich 1st team? Rooney, Vidic, Evra thats it and maybe Nani along with Vidic, Rooney, Evra would get into Juventus. Bayern are an all round stronger side than Utd, maybe not in Defense but certanly in Midfield and Attack, and Juve are unbeaten in Serie A they have great collective strength and a large team of quality.

@FraneQACM1899 The description explains it all really. i couldnt get high quality vids for other teams like the galacticos, milan 1990s and liverpool in the 80s so i changed the name of this vid to the best teams of "Recent" history. and i disagree, arsenal's 49 league unbeaten streak is not lucky. Even todays barca team could only manage 31 or so. 49 is by far the highest out of the "big" leagues. and that team was unbelievable, im sure it could beat today's barca. and thanks for your feedback

@Scudeyyy AC Milan went unbeaten in 1994 I belive and also won the ECL the following year beating the Barcelona dream team 4-0 in the final.

As years go by, players adapt. Pele would not stand a chance against modern time defenders. Pele was the best of his time but the defenders back then were a lot more clumsy and not used to getting tricked out. Ronaldhino is the real king of football and we will all miss his style of play.

Change the title to last 15 years. None of these teams apart from barcelona (who are obviously better than the arsenal invincibles) would make it onto an all time list. Late 90s ac milan, zico's flamengo that destroyed 80s liverpool, pele's santos (basically the club version of brazil minus garrincha when brazil were at their best) and cruyffs ajax are the best

@jikkh2x na mate. I looked at all the stats. these teams have incredible records. And back before say 1995 there were no regulations on diet and players were not as fit. i am sure that nowadays these teams would destroy the likes of ac milan in the early 90s. the competition in the modern era of football is much greater thats why messi is probably the greatest player ever. i made afc first because that team did something that isnt going to happen ever again. probably.

@Scudeyyy I dont disagree that players are fitter now, but playing a modern team pele's santos would just laugh as they make their modern opponent chase around for the ball as they wear themselves out. Brains over brawn, or in this case ability over fitness. Inferior fitness or not, santos would cut any team apart, and with pele they have probably the greatest "athlete" ever in football.

As for arsenal, that was a wonderful team, but tbh they failed in europe :(

@jikkh2x a team wins the champions league ever season. Porto won it in 03/04 but arsenal went unbeaten in the PREMIER LEAGUE!? barcelona couldnt even do that in la liga last season. If it ever happens again that a team goes unbeaten in my lifetime i will be hugely surprised. + if a team cant maintain their abiliity for 90 minutes whats the point. if you are not an athlete you cant be a footballer nowadays.

Football is not some olympic sport where the stongest wins. The weak team can maintain their ability for 90 minutes because they make the other team do all the running. And even if they get tired, they would probably be 3- 0 up already

@Scudeyyy Stamina means nothing without skill or technical abilty thats why the mentality is wrong in England, Arsenal may have faster players but Santos and Milan are far superior on the ball and better Defensvly, stronger, tacticaly and had far better players (the Football was physically tougher in the 80s and 90s, bad pitches a tough ball). Also what about Milan of 2007 or 2003 they didnt have any stamina yet they won the ECL summat Arsenal never did.

@Scudeyyy Also Arsenal played against teams in the EPL who had no where near the quality of Milan and Santos. Van Basten and Pele 2 of the top 5 greatest players of all time could tear any defense to shreads within minutes. Theres a reason Arsenal never came close to winning the ECL, ECL is tougher and a complelty differnt style of game. Arsenal conceded 3 against Chelsea in 2004 ECL and Chelsea had an decent attack, they would concede 5 or 6 against Milan with Van Basten, Guillet and Donadonni.

AC Milan had some of the greatest players of all time Van Basten (3 time Ballon winner one of the top 5 greatest forwards of all time), Maldini, Baresi arguably the 2 greatest Defenders of all time, Rjaakard, Donadonni, Guillet, Costacuta! Arsenal wouldnt stand a chance. Players may be fitter now but they are less technically gifted, I agree Arsenal would have more energy, but Arsenal wouldnt get the ball off Milan.

Back in the 90s going for the Ballon were ledgends like Van Basten, Baggio, Maldini, Baresi, Platini, Ronaldo, Zidane, Romario, Weir, Rivaldo, Mattius some of the greatest of all time. The only competition Messi has is Ronaldo who cant preform in big games. Football has dropped so much in quality over the past few years. @Scudeyyy When I said present day I ment top 10 best of the past 3 years not just this season (overwise I wouldnt have added Kaka or Robben), I shouldve worded it better. But my arugment about Football being far tougher today is correct. How many players now can you really say are on the same level as Zidane, Maldini, Ronaldo, Van Basten ect only Messi, Ronaldo never preforms in big games which is what you have to do to be a ledgend and same with Ibrahimovic. The competition just isnt there.

And loads of teams win the CL, AFC 03/4 was the first team in 115 years to go unbeaten in the league. Madrid nowadays is no where near on the best teams of alll time! they only won the copa del rey. maybe madrid 02/03 but not 10/11. and afc 01-04 is as good as fcb 10/11. fact.
