how did your headlights fill up with water? they are sealed beams for exactly that reason !!! must be broken..... I've had water up to the windscreen in my series 3 88.... wouldnt do it again unless I really had to :)
@Loftworthy very ture the landy got plenty of use this winter. we had 6inch of snow thet hung around for weeks and as the roads dont get gritted or plough out in the sticks came in realy handy.
hahaha mr boyren went though about an hour late with his muck spreader on. when i went to my parents house tonight the brigde was still closed at spark how bad is the bridge or are they waiting for it to be checked out? no wd 40 so very lucky hahaha
we are working at bandrake head and have been going to burlington quarry so have had to go down bessie bank, not been this week yet, wednesday!!!!! dont think my Hiace van can cope with all that water!! does well but not that good!!
local talk today is they is that it is full of cracks!! have you heard owt?
thanks mate its a standard 1981 series 3 88" 2.3 petrol with a weber carb and k and n air filter and a idiot behind the wheel!!!only just finished rebuilding her four weeks again after a full strip down if you watch lowick brigde video you can see her parked on the brigde.i am in the process of rebuilding my 1972 series 2a lwb ex mod will have to put some videos up of the progress.
do you have a snorkel on your series?

@toadecks they filled with water as they are halogan conversion headlights so you just change the bulb not the whole thing.

i drive the other way the night before and it was deeper it came up throught the floor and was about 4inch deep in the cab.
