  • Best show ever

  • I miss mamas family

  • Where did you find this show tvbuddy?

  • I miss Mama's Family. You just don't find TV this good anymore. Am I right?

  • i was born in lanecaster!!

  • @ttypp i got family there ..ain't been there in years since i was a kid but i remember alot about it

  • Ken Berry looked like a weird killer with a mean streak in the first seasons, then all of the sudden its like someone slapped the shit out of him and set him straight lol

  • Iola's mother was mentioned during the non-syndicated years, so it wasn't too odd that Iola appeared.

  • All of Vicki Lawrence's on-screen children (Ken Berry, Carol Burnett, and Betty White) are older than her by at least 15 years.

  • @ekocentric You're absolutely right. The whole time the show aired, I was always pretty sure that the only people that were younger than Lawrence on the show were the actors that played her grandchildren. :)

  • 6:24 The look on Beverly's face when Vicki answered for her . . . LMAO!!!

  • First off.......everyone in that audience look over the age of 60.

Second......OMG, look at Naomi. She looks so........NORMAL.

  • Bubba was FIOOOOne!!

  • I feel sorry for Beverly Archer in this reunion. :/

  • My gawwwd! That was painful to watch! I have never seen the show Mama's Family nor Vicki, but as an outside observer could see Vicki is pretty much up herself. Always talking about herself, or her character. Poor 'Iola' was never involved by Vicki at all. The questions by the audience are cringe value. You'd think the producers would have asked prior to the show then picked the questions which were interesting or appropriate! Ken Berry looked like he wanted to just hide under a chair!

  • Beverly Archer looks like Mrs. Gulch from The Wizard of Oz. She's the scariest looking woman I've ever seen!

  • Such a GREAT show and such a HORRIBLE reunion special. They deserved better than this.

  • @aidenangola I'm just glad to see that Ms Archer wasn't wearing pink, Mr Berry was without the tan and brown, Dorothy didn't have the big wig, yellow come-to-me-slut outfits and mama wasn't calling everyone dirty names.

All in all, this little get together was a big success as far as I'm concerned. Lol

  • Have you taken notice the cast is reminiscing About Mama's family while it was in syndication and not the Original NBC run in my opinion those we're the best ones.

  • @MAinsworth0375 That's because syndication was more recent for them. This was in 1992 and they had just finished the syndication series 2 years before. By then, the network series was almost 10 years ago for them.

  • Why couldnt ken berry remember anything

  • She should have spent more time with the cast and less time with the silly sketches with Mama.

  • Damn...LOL Vicki didn't even let Beverly get a word in. She was not the best talk show host.

  • @melville80 Yeah she just basically skipped over her! WTH is that about? Did they not like each other? The entire show they didn't let Beverly talk not once!!!

  • @melville80 I've always liked Vicky Lawrence, but if she was going to cut people off, then why'd she even have a reunion show? She could have just had pictures of them and done a narration.

  • Vicki Lawrence just steam-rolled Beverly Archer about "what are they doing now" But I heard they didnt get along for some reason.

  • OMG! allen was born in littleton colorado, about 15min south of here. lol

  • @miniprizes yeah and the funny thing is,Ken Berry is originally from my hometown of Moline Illinois :) .

  • This kinda sucked. It feels rushed and yeah it had to be on a talk show. It should have been a lot more.

  • Plus, Vicky won't let anyone else talk. I know she is pressed for time but damn.

  • well i thought he wrecked the car first then he pass out but been a while since i seen that one

  • He did.

  • In Reference To The Question @ 3:05 ...

Vint Passed Out In A Frenzy Over The Baby Arriving.

    :)

  • what no rue mcclanahan

  • I used to have the biggest crush on naomi when I was younger but in this clip, she reminds me of Vigo from Ghostbusters 2

  • the whole reunion is extremely awkward and vicki keeps cutting everyone off.

  • I had the biggest crush on Allan Kayser. He's so cute in this clip. He's the only reason I ever watched the show. He in his blue jeans...very cute.

  • every1 is still aliven real life rite?

  • yeah

  • So called experts say tight jeans on guys look bad? Well look at Allan Kayser. Season one he wore baggy jeans .Goofy cartoonish flat butt. After that he wore tight jeans! He looks FANTASTIC IN TIGHT JEANS! He looks more masculine.clean cut and far better in tight jeans!

  • 0laila it's 1992

  • Could Alan Kayser be any cuter? I don't think it's possible! He's hot! Oops!

  • I could not agree more. Remember how he filled up those tight jeans?! ;^)

  • how could I ever forget that? ;)

  • WHAT YEAR IS THIS? lol Is it the begining of 90's?

  • lol i think so

  • I live in Kansas City,, and loved this show,, I was never sure if they lived in raytown was that the raytown in missouri,, and hell me and allen could be neighbors lol he is so damn hot allways thought so,,

  • Yeah, I believe Alan Kaiser does live in our area, not far from Raytown.

  • all people in this show is fantactis... actually , i liked them better than 2first seasons

  • why cant you guys calm down! just chill out, this is no place to bitch....jesus!

  • Mama's Family airs on ION Television where I live on the east coast. Those audience members asked the worst questions, and I also picked up on a bit of animosity between Vicky and Beverly. We all know she went on to Major Dad, but when the question was asked it didnt get answered....still love the show.

  • Actually Mama's Fmaily is only seen on In2TV due to TBS,ION and CMT dropping the series

  • what year was this?

  • Late 1992 or early 1993, it was during that TV season. Betty White mentioned they were doing Golden Palase and that aired only one year after the Golden Girls ended in 1992.

  • He's about to act in a short film (being filmed this weekend!) in Lawrence, Kansas - he'll play a late-nite radio host, taking calls... watch for it!

  • Allan Kayser is one of the hottest hunks of all time,he made the show 4 me,wondering where he is now with his beautiful self !!??

  • a little trivia... allan kayser graduated from columbine high school, yes that columbine.

  • Wow, interesting.:D

  • I don't think Beverly and Vicky were on good times around this time, let alone today. You hardly ever hear of Beverly at all. She just disappeared in the mid-90s all of a sudden. Vicky, on the other hand, you see her in guest spots to this day. Vicky is the only cast member working. The others just retired or just laid low for a long time. Beverly is quoted to say that wearing pink is the most horrifying experience ever.

  • good terms, I mean.

  • Beverly Archer's gotten typecast as such characters as Iola and Gunny. Maybe she decided she had had enough.

  • Beverly hasn't said anything the entire time

  • that was great i love allen Keyser.

  • ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! =D

  • Allan Kayser is ALL THAT and a Bag of Chips! He gets better looking with Age - like a fine wine!!!!!

  • I was just about to say as I watched it, GOD HOW HANDSOME HE LOOKs. I thought he looked hot on the show but wow he really looks fantastic.

  • Mmm I'll take some Bubba to go please.

  • Me too. What a HOTTIE.

  • I still watch this show every single night of the week. It airs at 8:00pm and 8:30pm where I live. It follows another great show, "ALICE". It is shows like this one though, that still make TV worth watching! This was one of the all time funniest casts ever!

  • Me too! It comes on at the same time here. I always laugh so hard when I watch it, I love it!

  • you must live in Michigan, I see it and Alice too on WZPX

  • bubba is sexy as hell (*damn*)

  • Yes, I'd hit that.

Where are Buzz and Sonya at?

  • God, I know. I would do Bubba like it was 1987 all over again.

  • All I can say is Vicki is a very LUCKY woman....Bev, Ken....those are the REAL actors.

  • gawd she was really rude to beverly...

  • That was weird. She basically blew off beverly and ken as to what they were doing.

Ken didn't speak much but he still make for some great eye candy even in his fifties. What a cutie.

  • Wow did Vicky and Beverly have issues in real life? What was that all about when Beverly says "One of these days you're gonna accept an invitation." and Vicky says "Next time you invite me I will."

  • Vint was such a p***y on the show

  • Yeah Samoan you're right about Vint but that's made the shows so good to watch. As people were talking about characters on Mama's Family... what about the two guys who played Bubba's friends Dwayne & T-boy?

  • Do you realize Allen Kayser graduated from Columbine

in 1982 when the killers were still in Diapers>

  • wow Bubba went to Columbine really?

I know he said hes from colorado orginally

  • i loved this show. but i too wonder whatever became of the actors who played Buzz and Soyna.

  • I don't think the actor who played Buzz has acted for many years. The actress that played Sonya does the occasional acting gig. She just doesn't do anything very popular.

  • you seem to be missing the part where they discuss IOLA.

  • They didn't discuss Iola. That's all they did.

  • @tvbuddy Lame!

  • Thank God for this show...it gave me a laugh on many days where I did not have anything to laugh about. I can still watch the show and find myself letting out a laugh over one of their jokes

  • When Vicki later wrote her autobiography, "Miss Fireball", she hardly mentions "Mama's Family" at all! She did write that the syndicated cast was better than the first, but her favorite person seems to have been Dorothy Lyman, whom she tried to work with again after "Mama" went off the air. I once saw an episode of "Major Dad" which guest-starred Vicki, but I don't think she and Beverly Archer were close.

  • Dang, Beverly Archer really exercised restraint. (Seriously) Was "Vicki" an NBC show and as such it was illegal or warranting death to mention CBS shows?!

  • they forgot 3 people aunt effie, buzz and sonja

  • I like the NBC Mama better.

  • Maybe a little. Ive seen Vicki be nice and ive seen Vicki be mean. You dont want to be on the recieving end of the latter. Heeheehee

  • Did Beverly look miffed when Vicki passed over her for an update in her career..."We know you're doin Major Dad-Anymore questions?"

  • Long Beach California in the house... WOO HOOOOOO

  • The actress that played Aunt Effie was also the writer for some of Mama's Family episodes, including the syndicated ones.

  • Beverly Archer (Iola) is writing in some episodes too

  • Great show, but it's too bad that the Buzz and Sonja actors never even called in or even got mentioned. They could have also had the actress that played Aunt Effie if she was still alive and well. Oh, what they could've talked about and had on this episode if it was a 2 hour special!

  • Buzz and Sonya were discussed in the Part One clip (this is Part Three).

  • well...she died in 2002 with parkinson's disease,

she was still alive back there

  • I wondered what happened to Buzz and Sonja. Everybody else was written in on where they were (ie: Aunt Fran, Ellen, Eunice) except Buzz and Sonja.

  • thats exactly what i was wondering

  • I read this somewhere. Eric Brown now works for the William and Flora Hewitt Foundation. Karin Argoud seems to have disappeared from the public eye, having last acted in 2001.

  • Thanks,I remember this

  • wow...nice...2 mamas at once...
