YOU, enchantedljoy, are the "IDIOT". You said, "totally a violation can not tase for asking someon to be quiet or removed from area", which is complete & utter bullshit. Meyer was NOT drive-stunned to keep him quite or to be removed. He was drive-stunned for Resisting Arrest & there was NOTHING illegal about the Officers doing so.
"i know it's in florida the point is that the laws are changing regarding this issue as we speak.." WhupTfuckinDo. That still does not make what the Officers did in 2007 against the law, against the use of force continuum or in violation of his rights you braindead fuck.
Meyer violated forum rules & was told to leave. He was trespassing when he refused, and the police handled him.
Rights violated? Then why was he the one making the plea deal, and the police found to have acted correctly in every respect, and the ACLU warned Meyer to plea?
Because his rights weren't violated. He had no right to be there.
And you are wrong. He should be ejected the moment he violated the forum rules. The organizers had every right to do so. And the police are there to enforce the law, not debate it.
"He had a right to ask the question" Not after he was ejected for breaking the forum rules. Or to be more precise, he was welcome to ask the question on the way out the door.
Kerry wasn't in charge of the forum. So his opinion on the matter is irrelevant. The bottom line is you obviously have no fucking clue what you are talking about. Cheers!
But the point is, he never should've been ejected in the first place. The police were WAY outta line from my point of view. They had NO right what so ever to do what they did.
Yeah I don't get what people are all worked up about.
What reasonable person thinks they can walk into an event, ignore the rules of the event & not get thrown out?
People are whining about Meyer's rights. What about the rights of every other person there. It is obvious that he didn't give a shit that he was violating THEIR rights.
And Nousides is right, the supreme court has addressed this specific situation in Bethel & Tinker. They CAN throw you out for breaking their rules.
He had a right to ask the question.Kerry was happy to answer the questions he posed. If those retarded policewomen who initially started the trouble due to their having a heightened sense of power and importance hadn't been so aggressive,Kerry would have answered the questions and everything would have been fine.Land of the free my fucking balls.
"It's ironic that everyone is so focused on the forum rules." Why? Breaking the forum rules is why Meyer got thrown out. Nothing ironic about it for intelligent people.
"issues he were raising are slightly more important" Than violating the rights of every other attendee and the forum organizers? Nope. Absolutely not.
"we are punished for it" He was punished for breaking the law, not for his questions.
I would say that Meyer received a valuable bit of education. Break the forum rules > get thrown out. Refuse to leave > get forced to leave. Resist the police > get overwhelmed. Plead guilty to 2 misdemeanors to avoid felonly convictions & expulsion from school > learn to act like an adult.
Had he simply respected the rules of the forum & left when asked like an adult, none of this would have happened.
He was ejected by ACCENT (the forum organizers) for repeatedly violating their rules.
When he refused to leave, he was in violation of several laws. The police attempted to simply escort him out & send him on his way, but he was having none of that. At that point they placed him under arrest & he continued resisting >> taser.

Are you serious? lol they put a double out there! What a joke. People are acting like this guy exposed some big government secret and he has to be kept under raps.
He didn't say anything that hasn't been said a million times before in books, magazines, TV shows, documentaries, etc. Kerry, Bush and others have been asked the very same questions by people who didn't freak out while asking it and nothing happened. Why bring a double out and have him say he still thinks he had valid questions?
They were acting as security at the event. He had been kicked out TWICE for breaking Forum rules (cussing, cutting line, yelling insults at Kerry, etc). He fought with them for over a minute beofre they had enough, took him down and tased him.
It was a student event that he was ejected from for his behavior. The police got involved because he wanted to stay and yell things instead of leaving.
"This is Bull Shit!" "You've done nothing but talk in circles for Hours!" "I demand to be heard!" "You (Kerry) are full of crap!" "They're going to arrest me for asking questions!"
They were told that there was time for at least 6 questions, maybe more as time permits. 8 questions later, they said this was the last question. Meyer (still behind people in line) pushed his way to the mic, shouting the things I said. He was kicked out for this and refused. This was BEFORE the video starts.
So? Kerry was one of the least popular presidential candidates ever. He couldn't beat the least popular president in US history in popular vote count. He's a joke.
And the fact that he and Bush are both bonesmen was mentioned numerous times in numerous different venues around the time of that election. This clown is doing nothing productive by getting himself thrown out of a Forum. He'd have been better off actually trying to get Kerry to talk about it than forcing security to remove him.
if our votes dont count how the hell can we change that . plus the president isnt elected by popular vote anyway so our votes matter only to a extant when it comes down to it its all the electoral college and how many people live in siad state and how many votes that state holds so whats the point
On October 31, 2007 I was on the Today Show & I thought I was in heaven, Matt Lauer, that douche, tried to get me to say That I did it all on purpose on that fall day, But I denied that yo, even though it was true The day I got in trouble with the boys in blue, Now I'm selling ringtones to every fool, and the ones that don't know that I'm just a tool, All they wanna hear is, "Don't Tase Me Bro!" But way deep down I think they all know, I said Yo, Skull and Bones I said Yo, Skull and Bones Word
Andrew Meyer is a fucking punk ass bitch. I went there with serious questions...well why didn't you ask them in a serious manner? Andrew you are a giant FUCKTARD!!!!
Good ol' mom, always sticking up for your kid. Admirable, seriously. However, Andrew's reputation on campus & the evidence of his writings on blogs on the internet clearly show pattern that Andrew IS a "trouble-maker". He repeatedly confesses to being a heckler of public figures & taking great joy in making others angry with his anti-social behavior. The students polled at University of Florida who know Andrew apparently have said they believe Andrew lied repeatedly during this interview.
CRAZEDBLOW you wouldn't know anything about what you're talking about anyway! You're a Fucking Liar and have ZERO credibility, about meyers and so forth, you weren't even there, you ONLY saw a video-tape,so stop guessing and/or lying about what you perceive as facts, you Fucking jerk!
CRAZEDBLOW is an IDIOT,first he says "Meyers had it coming to him for breaking forum rules" then he REVERSES himself by saying;"It was all an act on the part of meyers" what a sucker of schwants loser he is with female hormones a-plenty!
he said it himself. he stepped out of line. he broke the rules. All i know is when police are tellin u to do something then you should probably follow it. he was bein as physical with the police as they were with him. i think it shows a lack of respect for the police that they are even catching flack over this. And what is with the kid trying to stray away from the real reason why he was brought on? "I'm not here to talk about gettin tased". But that's why you're on there. to talk about the tase
I think NBC completely skipped the important issues and didn't ask him any questions he wanted to answer.
Kerry probably didn't have the answers to the questions that Andrew was asking, or if he did he would've answered them honestly.
The taser is another way of giving cops an edge over civilians, and it's become an abused power for many security guards, since it's looked down upon less to tase someone then to beat them. It's also easier and requires less skill.
are u fucking kidding me? you are a fucktard just like meyer is. That little fucking punkass bitch caused the whole thing to happen. All he had to do was ask his question in a serious manner and not fucking jump up and down and make a scene.
i think someone had a little talk to him and his is little scared now and is making apology...wtf apology for what? asking questions? Police was doing their job? wtf?
Ok - 245 people have died from tasers. What's your point? Let's focus on something with just a slightly higher bit of impact:
There were 16,885 alcohol-related fatalities in 2005
Don't worry about tasers. Worry about idiots getting hammered and then getting behind the wheel of a car, which has caused over 6000% more deaths IN JUST ONE YEAR.
Either way... it is a problem that needs to be dealt with... the other moron wanted to drag numbers into the game - not me. Yes - they count even when used against your argument. Sorry.
If 4 fucking cops that outweigh a sober person cannot easily detain a skinny unarmed man, they are donut pigs and should be pencil pushers. I think this was a case of police brutality.
The government got to that man. He was forced to apologize. IF he retracts his apology at anytime, he will be prosecuted. Face it, we have a corrupt government. It's full of secrets and lies and threats. We are losing our rights. Kerry didn't want controversial questions, so they put a stop to this man.
This is complete BS! It's crap like this that makes me disgusted to live in this country - when political officers and police can do whatever they want and get away with it. I can't believe that the crowd just sat there and watched and didn't do anything. That whole incident should have ended in a mass riot against the campus security!

Quitenno 3 years ago
"so what wass the police job again?"
The police got involved because he wanted to stay and yell things instead of leaving.
virtualdynamo 3 years ago
so what was he yelling??
Quitenno 3 years ago
"This is Bull Shit!" "You've done nothing but talk in circles for Hours!" "I demand to be heard!" "You (Kerry) are full of crap!" "They're going to arrest me for asking questions!"
They were told that there was time for at least 6 questions, maybe more as time permits. 8 questions later, they said this was the last question. Meyer (still behind people in line) pushed his way to the mic, shouting the things I said. He was kicked out for this and refused. This was BEFORE the video starts.

Well, he was right about Kerry....
marcusdaly 3 years ago
He'd have been better off actually trying to get Kerry to talk about it than forcing security to remove him.

this just in nobody gives a fuck

this just in making faggy comments makes you a faggot.
Xalphox 3 years ago
if our votes dont count how the hell can we change that . plus the president isnt elected by popular vote anyway so our votes matter only to a extant when it comes down to it its all the electoral college and how many people live in siad state and how many votes that state holds so whats the point

Who would want that clown (Kerry) in office anyway?

Andrew Meyer is a fucking punk ass bitch. I went there with serious questions...well why didn't you ask them in a serious manner? Andrew you are a giant FUCKTARD!!!!
thebatman7465 3 years ago
Good ol' mom, always sticking up for your kid. Admirable, seriously. However, Andrew's reputation on campus & the evidence of his writings on blogs on the internet clearly show pattern that Andrew IS a "trouble-maker". He repeatedly confesses to being a heckler of public figures & taking great joy in making others angry with his anti-social behavior. The students polled at University of Florida who know Andrew apparently have said they believe Andrew lied repeatedly during this interview.

he said it himself. he stepped out of line. he broke the rules. But that's why you're on there. to talk about the tase
cbass9054 3 years ago 2
I think NBC completely skipped the important issues and didn't ask him any questions he wanted to answer.
Kerry probably didn't have the answers to the questions that Andrew was asking, or if he did he would've answered them honestly.
The taser is another way of giving cops an edge over civilians, and it's become an abused power for many security guards, since it's looked down upon less to tase someone then to beat them. It's also easier and requires less skill.
Bad situation overall.
KamuiTa 3 years ago 3
Andrew didn't have to apoligize for anything at ALL. It's the cops' fault.
funnyhaha11 4 years ago 3
are u fucking kidding me? you are a fucktard just like meyer is. That little fucking punkass bitch caused the whole thing to happen. All he had to do was ask his question in a serious manner and not fucking jump up and down and make a scene.
thebatman7465 3 years ago
i think someone had a little talk to him and his is little scared now and is making apology...wtf apology for what? asking questions? Police was doing their job? wtf?
krata77 4 years ago 12
Ok - 245 people have died from tasers. What's your point? Let's focus on something with just a slightly higher bit of impact:
There were 16,885 alcohol-related fatalities in 2005
Don't worry about tasers. Worry about idiots getting hammered and then getting behind the wheel of a car, which has caused over 6000% more deaths IN JUST ONE YEAR.
robaksha 4 years ago
Typical right wing response - false dichotomy. People can be concerned with both.
Typically these people really want you to feel defeated and discuss neither.
darkerinyes 4 years ago
Either way... it is a problem that needs to be dealt with... the other moron wanted to drag numbers into the game - not me. Yes - they count even when used against your argument. Sorry.
robaksha 4 years ago
WOAH! Did you see how long that woman officer had the taser in his back? Holy crap! 7 seconds!
I don't know much about using tasers, but that was uncalled for. 245 people have died from having tasers used on them.
I say, if Kerry didn't ask him to be removed, why were the cops so upset?
thevintagerose 4 years ago
Would you rather be tased or shot?

Thats why the corrupt cops there charged him with inciting a riot.
