I went to Family Dollar and tried to use my print out scrubbing bubbles coupon and it wouldn't scan so the manager said if it doesn't scan we cant take them:( So I took the $3.00 coupon out of the box and paid $1 for each of them

The DD I went to made up a story about how they are not allowed to take a coupon that will make an item free and therefore had to change amount of Q to 95 cents instead of $1.00. I was shocked, its one thing to not take a Q, but to just change the value when they feel like it...when he decided my scrubbing bubbles Q was going to be worth $3.50 I decided to cancel the transaction. They were so rude and if I had not had my son with me... I'm Definetly going back to finish it.

Went to FD to "try" the CG coupons even though I've seen a bunch of video complains against them. Got there at gave the manager a heads up and showed him the coupons. He said as long as they are valid and complies with their coupon policy w/c was surprisingly stacked near their flier.Manager said he made copies of the coupon policy for customers. When I did the transaction, register beeped and cashier said she can't accept them. I said can we confirm w/the manager. Manager said coupons are good.

I had the same4 problem today, The mgr Dee was horrible. but I did get my cover girl tools. She was talking really bad about me in front of other customers telling me I am holding up her line because of some coupons, She called corporate and they told her how to input the coupons She thought she was only going to take 4 of my 8 coupons, wrong...I will check out as many times as I have too, Its not like they do not get their money for them. Its just ridiculous the drama from the mgrs

I was at another FD last night getting some Cover Girl. I got the buffer things for$1.75 and some $1 files. The manager was fine taking the q's off of the ones that left a 50 cents balance but when he got to the ones that were free he tried to say "well maybe you can't use these" lol He let me though. Then he tried to skip one of them. He had 2 left to put in. My phone rang I looked at the phone pushed ignore that fast he was done? NO! I said theres one more he went on and put it in FD is crazy!

I had the same type of issues today at Family Dollar. The cashier wasn't too bad but the manager was off the hook! Guess what I got my Cover girl and some scrubbing bubbles too!!! LOL

I hate that you all are having such a hard time with FD. I have only shopped there once for the scrubbing bubbles and I had a great experience. This mess has GOT to end!!!

I went to 2 Family Dollars today. At one FD I got 4 of the scrubbing bubbles and 1 cover girl nail clipper. I used 2 internet printable coupons & 2 regular coupon for the SB. All I paid was tax. The other Family Dollar I got a nail clipper and callous remover that was $3 total I used the $2.50 cover girl coupon and they took it i ended up paying .68 total. So it was a good day at FD.

I got my Cover Girl products today! I was expecting to have trouble but it wasn't that bad. The cashier didn't know how to manually put the coupons in. She called the manager up and asked him if it could be done. He said yeah it can be done and she'll only owe taxes. He explained to her how to do it. It did take her a long time to do it, but I got my stuff! Both the cashier and the manager where really nice. Thank goodness.

Lol yes some of these cashiers and managers are a mess, they be so nice til you whip out your coupons and they turn into a whole new demon. they definitely test your patience and I had to say out loud a couple times Jesus please help me, because i to know how my mouth used to be and it was not pretty, but thank God for change and his redeeming power because people will totally test you beyond your limits.

I had the same problem at my Family Dollar. My store wouldn't take em because when they tried to scan the coupon & the computer said "coupon not matched" I think it is because on the computer screen it didn't say anything about cover girl,it only said "nail clippers,nail filer" etc. So I told them that & the manager came over & she said "oh no,we can't take these because you have to get makeup because the picture shows makeup" (-__-) I called DM & told her & she called the store to fix it.

I think "Family Dollar" should be the first stop we should hit on the Facebook pages. I also had an experience months ago about the cover girl products. I will suggest this on Pinchingpennies video. Family Dollar needs to be stopped. Can't stand them.

I don't care for our Family Dollar they seem to have issues with coupons esp if means item is free. And they will not even accept a coupon if over the price no adjusting down. I don't go there.

These cashiers and sometimes management don't realize that the STORE GETS PAID to accept coupons! What does she mean if it was up to her she wouldn't except coupons! We need to bring this up to pinchingpennies2011...to discuss the family general on there facebook page. Nobody should be treated the way us couponers have been being treated!

the sad part about the whole thing is the Family Dollar is suppose to be geared towards helping family who can't afford to pay high prices, there policy says they allow coupon but there employees/management refuse to take the time to learn and that is the biggest problem going around ppl with jobs just wanna get paid they dont wanna learn to much trouble smh

I had the same problem last week at the Family Dollar. I was told by the cashier that I couldn’t use the Cover Girl ($1) off coupon on the dollar purchase items. I said thank U and walk out the store. After continuing watching videos N everyone still getting the deal I decided 2 call the FD main office. Yesterday the district manager finally return my call. He said the cashier was wrong, go back 2 the store N he would call the store. I got the four items free N paid $.35 N that was 4 taxes.

Good luck to you in this. I tried using the $1/1 Gain dish liquid coupons a long time ago at Family Dollar and was ridiculed by the staff. I have never gone back with a coupon again. I just don't want to deal with the hassle that I know they will give. They are one of the worst for couponers.
