I saw Bejun Mehta sing different parts in the same ROH production of Orlando, albeit in different years. First in 2003 when he understudied Angelica having been cast as Medoro. Then in 2007 he returned as Orlando and was absolutely brilliant. He's the most powerful and dramatic of current counter-tenors I think and he thrilled Covent Garden. You really got a sense of the impact that the castrati once had. Handel's music in Orlando seems almost possessed at times and Bejun does it justice.
Superb, and one of my very favorite Handel areas. This, folks, is how you do it!!!

Est-ce qu'il est censé se déplacer en France? Je pense qu'il a vécu à New York.

J'aime beaucoup cet air. Mehta s'en sort très bien mais je préfère l'interprétation d'Ann Hallenberg.

Wow! I missed this production, and am quite sad of it, seeing as I live 20 minutes from Glimmerglass. Where did you get this recording?
