  • I love the baby that comes out from behind the skirt :)

  • That very scene where one of the dogs responds and then the video stops made me laugh.

  • CORCI'S ARE THE BEST!

  • my corgi looks just like the one at 0:24 but its not a puppy its like a year old and its just kind been staying that way and not growing to be as big as the other corgis in the vid. so can someone just tell me why. i still like having a small corgi but i was just wonderin

  • @wondermonkey98 Hi! I have met maybe 3 corgis so far that stay tiny. Only one of them is a corgi cross jack russell but the rest are pure breds. It happens...I think it is cool to have a small one! Benny's the basketballer of corgis...he is still the longest and tallest so far (for purebreds). =)

  • @zoegan cool i think its cool to have a small corgi to. thanks :)

  • Which is the black and tan one?!:D

I have a 6 month old pup tht exact color named Jasper :D

  • @mwgapickle92 THe black and tan one that's walking around is Dexter (Benny's best buddy) and the puppy rolling around on the floor is Clare. =)

  • Wow, I learn something new everyday, I didn't know that Pembrokes actually had longer tails, I didn't know that their tails were docked.

  • @mistergrin The corgis with tails are actually called Cardigan Welsh corgis. Pembrokes are born with just a nub as a tail. The tail is about the only difference between the two variations of corgi.

  • @dantheman9941 Thanks for clarifying that, and knowing what you just told me, I prefer Pembrokes over Cardigans, I think they're just adorable with their shorter little tails lol.

  • @mistergrin me too!! LOL

  • @mistergrin pembrokes will, usually, be born without a tail for unknown genetic reasons. The few that did have tails historically were docked for protection of the dogs during their herding (cows would often injure them) and in recent times are just for conformance of the breed standard.

Cardigans are slightly shorter and heavier, and a bit calmer that pembrokes. Easiest way to tell a card and a pem apart who both have tails -- their ears. Cards' ears look really huge for their heads.

  • @blueshift77 Thanks for all the info (=

  • @rocker9375

it is banned in england, with some exception for a few breeds, provided there's evidence the dogs will be working in an environment where tail injury is possible,

  • I think docking is cruel, too, but they actually started doing it because Corgis are herding dogs, and the cattle or sheep could very easily step on the their tails and really do some damage to the dogs.

  • lol

  • All the corgis in the video are pembrokes. =) Benny has a tail cos he is born in Australia where docking of tails is banned. (yay!) He has pedigree cert to prove he's a pem.

@CapPicard: I bet watching Killer and Rockford play must be fun! I love watching dogs figure our their play-style. =P

  • @zoegan Yes, it is fun watching those two play. Even with the big difference in age, they get along great.

  • There is one aggressive dog in the bunch that keeps biting everyone. The owner/s should not allow that kind of behavior. These are great looking dogs. They do look like Cardigans because of the tail. I am getting a Pembroke Welsh Corgi soon and it is a very exciting process!! Also, I look at docking tails sort of like circumcision, some do it and some don't. But, it doesn't bother me because it is in keeping with the breed.

  • @plmrcn: I believe you are speaking about Benny, my corgi. THere's aggressive behaviour and rough play. The two are very different. Benny plays very roughly with other corgis only but he isn't aggressive. His mode of play as a puppy (he was about 1.5 years old in the video) is to slobber on the other dog's ear. He isn't nipping or biting. When he and dexter plays it sounds to other people as if they are fighting but its not. Both play well together and they surrender to each other too. =)

  • @zoegan My aunt's 8 year old Rottweiler-Beagle mix, Killer, and my brother's 5 month old Schnauzer, Rockford, play like that all the time. :)

Rockford for some reason likes to literally hang onto my brother's arm with his front legs when playing.

  • @plmrcn Keeping with the breed? What the hell is that supposed to mean? If people thought cuttin your left index finger was "in keeping with humanity" would you be ok with it bein cut off? You're a worthless selfish shit. No dog's tail should ever be docked for show reasons it's just pure ignorance born out of tradition, the worst type of ignorance indeed.

  • My corgi has a tail as well! :D

  • I always thought that docking the tail was a real shitty thing to do, but I guess Pembroke's were more prone to stepping on their tail while running and actually breaking something. So I kind of get why they dock it most of the time, but I do hate that they have to be docked in order for the contests, for dogs, to consider them "real" pembroke corgis.

  • Love the tails! And love the little one :)

  • Pembrokes with tails. I'm starting to notice that coming out more and more. Is there a protest against docking? Don't get me wrong, I actually agree with non-docking, but I'm just curious.

  • @laichi16 Protest? not really though i think docking isn't meaningful if they aren't going to be working dogs in the field.

The red and white adult pembroke in the video is mine and he was born in Australia. Over there docking of tails is banned so he got to keep his. I think that's awesome cos its an extension of himself and we can see his expressions in the tail very easily.

    =)

  • @laichi16 thats actually a cardigan corgi

  • Beautiful dogs. I wish I could find a breeder here that leaves the tails intact. If breeders want short tails they should breed towards it IMO, cutting it off doesn't change genetics. :s I like the tails anyway though.

  • I am so happy to see Pembrokes with tails! Our Pembroke has his tail and uses it every day to show us how happy he is.

  • sandy corgi trying to show dominance by chewing on neck

  • adorable little fluffball :3

  • Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing.

  • Thanks! We really appreciate the kudos on having the pembrokes with tails. I think the whole breed standard thing is ridiculous if tails are manually docked to fit it. Yes, let us tell AKC that pembrokes with tails are just as great and "happier" too!

  • Sooo nice to see Pembrokes with tails! I'm really pushing for AKC to change breed standards. Only about less than 5% of Pembrokes are born without tails, but that's no reason to continue docking for breed standard. Never understood why Cardigans can have tails but not Pembrokes?? Cutey-pie dogs. :)

  • @Blackhawkflygirl are you sure they are not cardigans? they are closely related and always have tails

  • @hrnicek88 - Those are Pembrokes. :) Pembrokes can be buff/white and they can be tri-colored. They're "tri-colored Pembrokes". The Cardies are usually bigger & heavier than Pembrokes, and you're right, they keep their tails. They have a few color variences as well. I really have no idea why breed standards allow Cardies w/ tails, but Pembrokes docked. I've got tri-colors, they're so darned cute! I'm crazy for Corgis. :)

  • love them <3

  • Who doesn´t like this?!?! ô.o Cutest dogs ever!

  • Not really going nuts but it's truly adorable to see them all together.

  • ive never seen corgis with tails! Ours surely doesn't have one

  • SOOO cute, I looveee the Corgis. Just for the record, they are docked, Both of mine have docked tails, on one you can see the scar. Some are born that way but docking does happen. :)

  • OOooffff...leaving youtube...what a family...u guys are so lucky

  • Their tails are so pretty! X3 My corgi would be jealous, with her stubby little nub of a tail.

  • CORGI's ROCK!!!!!! My Corgi keeps me in a constant state of amusement. When she plays on her back she always sneezes, which makes her the most blessed dog I know.

  • Not my ear at 0:35

  • These look like Pembroke corgis with tails. I didn't realize that they were docked.

  • i have a corgi named Izzy

  • Oh god! A CORGI ARMY. xD That is so awesome. <3

  • Corgis rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ours name is Vadden, but I call him Ratman because he is such a little ham.

  • Haha.....yep corgis are the best! Ratman is really a very cool name! =P Just pawsome!

  • Corgis are the best dogs ever.

  • MY CORGIS LOVE MILKBONES

  • are u a breeder????

i want one!!!!!!! they're soooo adorable!

  • Hi! No, I'm not a breeder of corgis. They are adorable aren't they?

Do read up as much as you can about corgis before you get one so you'll kinda know what to expect. =)

    Good luck!

  • pembrokes dont have tails. they arrent cropped. I think some people maybe think they are cropped but they were just bred that way.

  • Hi! That's supposed to be the way they are bred, but the standard allows for tails to be docked if they are born with tails. There are of course Pembrokes that are born and bred with the short cute tails.

Fornately for Benny, he was born in Australia where docking of tails is banned.

  • yeah...you're wrong julie...

  • thumbs up

  • It's great to see corgis with tails. They have lovely tails which are so expressive.

  • LOL! 37 seconds of pure cuteness! I love them all!!!

  • omg pore dog

  • these dogs are in a pack

  • The corgi at the end is like "STOP BITING ME!" and then bites the dog. Corgis are so funny. It looks weird to see pure corgis with tails, because my pure corgi has a docked tail. And was there a puppy in this video?

  • Hi!

Yeah, they are funny aren't they? =)

The two corgis walking around and doing most of the "work" are the adults. The other 2 corgis were puppies when this video was taken...I think they were only about 5 or 6 months old.

  • really? it looks weird to see pure corgis without tails. since my corgi has a tail which she licks a lot for some reason. and it always get infected because she keeps licking it. :|

  • Corgis FTW!

  • These guys are adorable. But there are two kinds of Corgis. The ones with the docked tails are called Pembrokes. The ones with a long tail are Cardigans. Their ears are aslo slightly different and the Cardigan, the Corgi with the tail, is slightly larger. The breed standard in any decdent dog book will explain the differences better.

  • Hi!

You are correct regarding the breed standards. Here in Singapore, we get most of the imported corgis from Australia which has banned the docking of tails for quite a number of years already. And this is why we have the lovely tailed Pembrokes! =)

  • I have one corgi now, bout to get a second one in about a month and I've put a downpayment towards her to make sure her tail doesn't get lopped off. I want a Tailed Pembroke :)

    Cute bunch you have there!

Do your corgis try to initiate play or anything by setting their head on the other's shoulder/back?? Louie does and I can't figure out why.

  • Hey there! Oooo! Tailed Pembrokes are so cute, you can see their moods and its much more fun and expressive. =)

Louie sounds so cute...Benny doesn't initiate play that way, he just slobbers all over other dogs' ears. =P

  • aww one of them looks like me dog

  • cute video!! check mine please called The Cute Corgis - by me corgilover2!!

  • I like that one...I saw it. Which part of the world is that?

  • you have cardigans? i have a penbroke welsh corgi. he is so funny.

  • No, those are Pembrokes! With tails! XD

  • Cute ... Nice job of editing

  • How cute... We are corgi people, too. I kind of wondered when I first saw this... How would one person handle 4 corgis... POSSIBLY two people could do it... one under each hand...LOL...Ours are pretty insistant on being the center of attention...Each of the three, but there are three of us...

  • We manage to get by...there's be a corgi birthday party happening sometime next month and there'll be even more corgis! Maybe 7? =P

I think Dot is very cute. Nice and slim too! =)

  • Just one. The adult red and white pembroke is mine. His name is Benny. The rest are friend's corgis that come to let the dogs socialise at my store. =)

  • how many corgies do u have???
