  • 1st r u a women or a man??

  • @SaraMissful She says in the beginning of the video that she is a "gay woman". Why don't you actually watch the video before just looking at the still image and asking such rude questions?

  • awesome!!!! i would have made my video long like yours, but my phone only records like 20 seconds!

  • Very well said! Thank you!

  • thanks

for your patience, objectivity, and enlightenment

  • i agree with most of this. im bi and totally support gay rights. also south of nowhere is a great show with lesbians. its a great show on the n if anyone cares... its not fair that gays cant get married or have certain liberties.

  • Woot Woot, thats Aussie for Goodonya, well said, we choose to be vegan as i am, we choose our faith, mine being Pagan/Celt, we choose each & everyday of our lives, being gay for me is "Innate", all Souls have a Preference, all up "love Loves", its humans who impose "Limits" on those who are not the same, limitation is a human conception, love has no Gender, Color or Definition. common denominator WITHIN All of Us Is Love, definition/label can never define loves emmination, theres no end to it.

  • I enjoyied listening to what you had to say, And I'm totally agree with you!

I'm not a lesbian, but still, I think that you all have to be treated equaly as everyone else..

    PEACEEEEE:))

  • Thanks for sharing your insightful thoughts. You're out there, bravely changing the world through inspiration and education. Keep it up. If I can contribute a fraction of what you have to the world, I'd be proud.

  • luv ur vids...your so right and intelligent.UR such a sweet decent woman.

  • Thank God for "The L Word". It's on Showtime but it's a great gay and trans show.

  • Holy shit.. while telling another dude off about bisexuals, I told him you were a guy.

    Terribly sorry, mate!

But you are correct, as always. Admire your thoughts & views in videos

  • wow interesting video.

I feel so much better about myself :]

  • I feel bad for gays and lesbians in the military. In the military gays are the only minority group that is legal to hate. During my 12 years in the military I had to look behind my back all the time. I was so paranoid about getting caught or beat up because of sexuality.I didn't deal with my sexuality until I was 38 years old.

You did a wonderful job on this video. Thanks

  • Wonderfully said, Stacy dear. I hope you're feeling well today :~) Now I have to go catch-up on the JLiN vids...

  • THANK YOU! You put into words perfectly how I feel. Clear, rational, and logical. :)

  • Wow this is a great video. I agree with you 100%. I wish you could come to my school and talk to my classmates.... Thanks for all of your videos, you're like my YouTube role model!!! peace

  • Videos like this one are the reason I subscribed. I think you put things out there in a very truthful and honest manner.

  • You are so right. It's because of videos like this that I'm addicted to YouTube!

  • {{{Stace}}} Excellent video.

I think there are people out in the world who are so secure in their ignorance that they feel "attacked" by new knowledge.

I used to get a ton of "god are you UGLY!" responses on my previous accounts, simply because I have a big head and a belly to match. I don't get a lot of those anymore, because some of them actually listen to me now :)

I love and respect you, Stace. Thanks for being here for us. :)

    Henrik

  • I think in the UK the gay life-style is accepted easier and of course gay people can marry here :-)

    x hugs x

  • Awesome vid, very well put. You make your points with intelligence and respect.

  • Yeah, what you said. :-)

  • Great video and you hit most of the important points. My only disagreement is that you refer to the lesbian "lifestyle". To me, lifestyle implies choice which I don't believe is the case with most gays and lesbians. At the same time, I do support the right of those who can to choose who they want to love.

  • you know when I said that in my vid, I though they same thing to myself.

  • I understand...I slip and say it myself sometimes...it's hard breaking old habits...thanks and it really is a good vid.

  • Excellent points and a wonderful way to put it. We are a straight couple, but feel everyone has the right to be who they are and should have the same rights as others. No one should have to deal with the issues that you brought up. It is about love and comfort. And you are right, sex is only a part of the equation. No matter who is involved.

  • I wish more people would be open to the idea love is love. We don't choose how we fall in love with :)

  • Very well said.

  • Thanks :)

  • Hi stace I agree with you in all that ur saying..thanks for putting this up*hugs*

  • AWESOME

  • OMG if there is an Election you have my vote for Gay spokesperson of America! awesome vid, thanks for being a mature voice of reason.

  • Sometimes I can be the voice of reason....

    Sometimes not...Just ask my girlfriend.

    Thanks for your vote :)

  • For the most part she is very reasonable.

Only at certain times have I seen the other side. Whoa nelly.....let's not even talk about it. :-D

    Sebastian

btw -Interesting that you called me the "girlfriend" but I'll not take the term "girl" to heart. It's not all about the labels. ;-)

  • The way you delivered this message is sure to get through to people and help overcome ignorance and fear. (((HUGS)))

  • You make a lot of good points. But remember that the denial of rights to gay people isn't the case everywhere. Almost nothing that you mentioned applies to me. I'm Canadian. I can't be fired from my job, I can get married (in fact, I did--this past August), I have full and equal rights under the law. Hopefully this will change one day in the U.S. The religious right is the biggest enemy of equality for gay people and the religious right is in decline. There's hope for the U.S. (I think).

  • First off, congrats on getting married! :-)

    There's hope for the U.S. (I think).

<---- Where I live it's not very progressive so I have a skewed vision (at least I hope it is!)of how people treat anyone other than straights.

  • Excellent, there is so much more involved, entire lives.

  • Well said Stace. I thought your other channel was a lot of fun and it didn't offend me in any way, but what mattered was how it made you feel since it was your channel.

Being more sexual, whether straight or gay, doesn't necessarily mean it's all about the sex either.

Thank you for sharing, you speak so eloquently my friend.

  • Thank you for posting this video. It is nice to see a video where someone finally gets what msyankee2u was saying. Well spoken

  • You are a person who acts in contradiction!

(watch stephStance YT Dreams video with Yankee trying to be sexy!)

    H Y P O R I T E

  • i get it steph- you think i am a hypoCRITE

and it was YOU who took my video footage and panned and zoomed in on my skirt (i even commented to you about that when it was originally done)

so explain to me how i am a hypocrite?

  • Thanks.. I personally have the same issues with people being sexual for attention, but that's just me. I am a bit more private ;)

  • It's because of prejudice that people are put into categories. And then the bigots complain when those labels are embraced. The struggle will never end.

  • I think that labels and categories serve as a function in society for identification purposes but often times those labels/categories are limiting. Labeling whole groups of people is when stereotypes emerge. The struggle will always exist because we are all different. :)

  • Great video! You are such a great speaker...people are so ignorant when they judge gays..Just leave them alone I say:)let them live their own lives as americans..

    Hope your feeling better emotionally~

  • watch stephStance YT Dreams video with Yankee trying to be sexy!

    such

    H Y P O R I T E s

  • There is a difference between doing it once in awhile for fun and constantly acting overly sexual for attention and subscribers.

  • This video was FABULOUS! Thanks for posting this.

  • wonderful video, You hit the nail on the head on all points. I have told many people about how much I love my husband, what goes on in my bedroom isnt the end all be all of my relationship. I would much rather hear about love, the thing that is most important, anyone can have sex, but love no matter what the gender orientation is truly a blessing.

    sorry if I rambled.

    hugs

    lee

  • KEEP FIGHTING FOR THE RIGHT.

  • I wish there didn't have to be a fight:)

  • Very well said! I agree with u 100% I understand all those issues. I was attempting to express "extreme" can give a sour taste and a wrong impression of what people are all about. I strongly believe EVERYONE should have the same rights, it shouldnt be different if ur gay, lesbian, black, white,latino...etc..Obviously I wasnt clear enough in my video. I appreciate your time for making this video.

  • As far as the sex end of it, thats my point. When you have someone constantly putting the sexual end of it out there over and over someone who doesnt understand these points is only gonna see it as sex. thats all. again, awesome video!

  • I agree with you. I have issues with anyone who over sexualizes their videos regardless of their sexual orientation; I have bigger issues with people who are gay and lesbian who do it because I feel they are just perpetuating a stereotype and not a positive one.

  • exactly, and that was all i was attempting to say with my video, sorry if i offended you or any one else. I knew i was entering dark waters with this and some decided to use it for personal attacks, but thats ok. Again, beautiful video.

  • You did not offend me in anyway. I think you have dealt with this in an open and honest matter; to me it's refreshing. I personally am sick of people always agreeing and choosing not to say what they really feel. :0) Thanks for your honesty. **people who erase negative comments on their page to make it look like everyone loves them ;)** you know who you are

  • Why do we need to hear a lesbian say over and over again how she may love women?? We get it your lesbian, we would expect you to love women. So Msyankee2U, I understand your point. If it were a man constantly talking about how they love women, what would the over sexualizing lesbian call him??

  • great video Stacy...‹(•¿•)›

  • Thnk you... nice little smiley face :0 )

  • I have been watching all these videos and comments. I have to say from my point of view. I have learned alot from the gay and lesbian people on utube. I am a mother of a child that I think is confused about things. Ya'll have helped me. Where else could I get informed about things like this? I live in a small town in the south. I thank people that have helped me without even knowing it. Thanks

  • I am happy you have received an education. I have been out since I was 12 and would be open to any questions you may have. email me anytime if I can help you out :)

    peace,stacy

  • I'm on my post-holiday video catch-up here; if you don't mind, I just wanted to add a few words of advice to Kelligarcia: A few years ago, on a talk show, they were talking to gay teens and asking their parents how they felt about it. One mom said, "All that I really care about, is that my daughter loves, and that she loves deeply."

    So true.

Peace to the both of you.

  • Well said.

  • Thanks Steph.... What is your point in attaching that older vid?

  • to show that some people naturally exudes sexuality and others have to sexualize them self...

  • great video stacey

  • Great video Stacey.

  • Glad to have ya back :)

I am also glad you took the time to make this video. Im gay, and in my opinion there need to be more voices out there like yours and mine that focus on Gay Issues, not Gay Sex. I hope that made sense lol. Anyways, Great video!

  • Great job, and wonderful points.

  • Thanks, It was only my truth.

  • The problem that I have with people, is how some use religion to justify their hate/distaste of homosexuality. the justification of placing such judgment on others while using God/Jesus/Love to back it up is beyond hypocritical and completely AGAINST their belief. What this preaching has served to do is simply scare gay people away from the notion of God. I know this is off your topic - but that is my beef!

    peace,

    david

  • David, you are so right on with this one. Many gay people are turned off to religion because they are not accepted into the congragation. Doesn't religion teach tolerance and accpetance? Ha.. "We" are looked at as siners. I say find your own spiritual path, accept the usefull part of it and leave the rest alone.

    Sending you the love...

  • Good way of saying this point. One of my biggest hurdles with my family will be regarding the "moralistic" part of being gay. I've had my own struggles with how I am vrs what I've been brought up to believe. Being scared away from God isn't something I want to happen...but it's reality. I'd like the "judgement" in the end to come from God, not other people.

  • Stacy, I am so proud of you to look at the positive and not the negatives.

    muah!!

    angie

  • Thanks Angie.....In my life being gay has had many more positive and loving experiences than negative ones.

  • I really like this video - so true about how people often put the sex part in the forefront of "gayness". It's a important part but just like hetros, a small part of the whole picture.

    Sebastian

  • It's true, often people do think of homosexuality as only a sex act because that's what they feel is wrong or unnatural. Most of us know that loving relationships encompass more than sex, whether or not your straight or gay........

    xoxo,

    Stacy

  • Sebbie....Sebbie

  • I hope your feeling better, Stacey. I prayed for you at Mass on Sunday.

  • Thanks Loco. I am feeling better, things happen in waves for me sometimes. I was just in a rough spot. I got some rest and am going to start taking better care of my body, the mind will follow :)

  • I'm so glad you made this video, Stacy. You made some excellent points!

  • Thanks, Marc :) I needed to get back on track.
