A truly stunning performance of a classic. After hearing a very folksy version of the song in "Winter's Bone," I was searching for a few other versions and ran across this by total accident. It's hard to believe that something this incredible has been up for over a year with just 7200 hits. Éilís, Pauline, and Donogh could certainly do with a little more aggressive marketing. I purchased the CD from Ireland, but am really looking forward to its/their debut in the U.S.
@SwissBuilders They're amazing, aren't they? Their album is really good. Search Lumiere online and you'll find plenty of info. They have a Facebook page too
@misfitmanonadune can't post URLs to youtube. If you type Lumiere music in google, you'll see their site and from there you can click on their Facebook page. Cheers!
It was this performance on tv that made me think about my own singing. There's a lot to be said for sweet Irish female voices. Their repertoire is gorgeous.
This is the best version I have heard since Emmy Rossum did this in the Songcatcher. The guitar was a beautiful accompaniment to the beautiful tones of such a well done heart felt song. Thank you for sharing.
Mike Harding put me on to these two by playing them on his show - absolutely stunning fabulous voices. Its such a real pleasure to listen to them. Thanks for posting.
- Marvelous!

I love this. I used to sing a traditional Appalachian version of this song when I was a kid. This version is way prettier.
