  • GOD BLESS THE HOLY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, THE TRUE CHURCH. GOD'S CHURCH :)

  • What a CHEESY rendering of Salve Regina!! No hippies, guitars and tambourines, at least lol.

  • @phati129 Who are YOU to disregard Gods Word in favor of the word of man? Yes, everyone in the family who repents should be baptized. How do babies repent?

  • @kiwichristian2009

"So, its a personal interpretation of the rcc?"

What is a personal interpretation ? No idea what you are referring to here.

PS: Did you have a chance to check St Ligouri's book ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic I dont remmber, you removed the comment, i think.

  • @phati129 The woman in revelation is a picture of the Israelite nation as shown in Gen37:9,10 with the sun representing Jacob, the moon his wife Rachel, and the 12 stars representing the tribes of Israel. Christ was born of Israel. The Israelite nation is often referred to as a woman in Isaiah54:5 and Jeremiah31:32.This woman cannot be mary because the woman IS ON EARTH DURING THE TRIBULATION, whereas mary's spirit is in heaven at that time.

  • From Bishop Liguoris' "The Glories of Mary", APPROVED by the vatican! "She (Mary) is . . . the only hope of sinners: (p. 69),"We will be heard and saved sooner by going to Mary, and invoking her holy name, than that of Jesus our Savior. We will find salvation sooner going to the mother than going to the Son" (p. 82),"Many things asked of God and not received are asked and received from Mary (p. 82). All obey the precepts of Mary, even God" (p. 115). ALL CATHOLIC LIES!

  • 1 Timothy 2:5. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"

  • The Three persons in the Holy Trinity are equal in glory. They are equally adored.

  • I love Mama Mary!!!

  • first time i heard this song in english

  • Mary is the true mother of Jesus and was beloved by Him. From the Cross in his death agony he placed Mary into the care of John the Apostle. Mary herself NEVER points at hersel, rather she points to Jesus she said "Do whatever he tells you." What a great gift she is to us. Thank you Jesus for the Blessed Mother

  • Hail Mary! Queen of Heaven, Mother of God the Son! Most Holy Theotokos!

  • Hail Mary, Our Mother!

  • Hail to she who is His mother <3

  • hail to mary our holy mother

  • @mpenaco is an idiot... who is with me??

  • Who else here thinks @mpenaco is a hateful BIGOT?

  • Really nice video. Yes, she's up there, crowned, assumed and victorious over the devil, just as we see in Revelation 12.

  • Gegrüßet seiest du Maria Mutter Gottes

    voll der Gnade

    der Herr ist mit dir

du bist gebenedeit unter den Frauen

und gebeneit ist die Frucht deines Leibes: Jesus

    Heilige Maria Mutter Gottes

    bitte für uns Sünder

jetzt und in der Stunde unseres Todes

    Amen

  • Mary is an ordinary woman. true.

yet this woman was chosen by God to bear Him in her womb for 9 months!

this woman was chosen by the CREATOR Himself to bear Him!

the woman whom even the angel Gabriel hailed!

doesn't this woman deserve respect? the mother of our God and Lord Jesus Christ....should she be thrown away as though she is worthless? would Christ approve this? we respect our mother. how much more should we respect Jesus' mother!!!

  • @hadleyshemaiah1 mary committed adultery with carpenters and bestiality with dogs.... jesus is a fruit of sin.... respect? i don't think so darlin. From Israel

  • As the shepherd rescues…so shall the people of Israel who live in Samaria be rescued. Hear, and testify against the house of Jacob, says the Lord GOD, the God of hosts: On the day I punish Israel for its transgressions I will punish the altars of Bethel, and the horns of the altar shall be cut off and fall to the ground. I will tear down the winter house as well as the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall come to an end, says the LORD.

  • God the Father is above all, then the Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, No one is above the Father nor they have equal with Him, He is more greater than the Son our Lord Jesus Christ. The God Himself choose Mary as the mother of Jesus Christ in flesh, who are we to object?

  • @rigormortis2010 The Father Son and Holy Spirit are equal in glory and divinity. Consubstantial undivided and lifegiving.

  • @phati129 well said!

  • whoever loves the Son loves His Mother! Theotokos, pray for us!

  • i just love it

  • @mpenaco u r an IDIOT!

God order to build 2 IMAGES in his ark, also he order to build MANY IMAGES in his temple.

  • @intoto2007 God DID specifically commanded CERTAIN statues to be made. Were they worshipped? No, were they bowed down to? No. Were the cerebrum on the ark of the covenant bowed down to or worshipped? No. Moses' brass snake was to demonstrate Gods healing power, so the people would know that their healing was from God and not just a coincidence, as you well know. Show me where God SPECIFICALLY commands us to make images of Mary and the pope and to bow to them?

  • @mpenaco u r an IDIOS! God order to have 2 IMAGES in the ark and order Salomon to have many IMAGES in the temple.

  • Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life and our sweetness. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears! Turn then oh most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us. And deliver to us your most precious fruit of thy womb, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mary is not in any way God. She is meryly favored by him, and chosen greatly by him. Born without sin. One of our most greatest advocates in Heaven.

  • nice song. thats all i have to say on that matter

  • nice song

  • @mpenaco Yes Apostolic tradition and the Church finalized the canon not the other way around. Christ created the Church. The 7 Councils are infallable being led by the Holy Spirit. If the Church hadn't finalized the Canon there would be over 300 works that could be considered scripture. Once again you're misled and lacking in your learning.

  • @stevennewnan "the Church finalized the canon". Does finalizing include adding new doctrines that were not taught by Jesus, the prophets or the apostles? Does finalizing include contradicting the inspired teachings of David, Paul and Jesus himself?

  • @mpenaco You use that passage as a rebutal? No the Theotokos isn't God, a god, or part of the trinity. She is however the first of the redeemed. She is set before all the prophets and the Apostles because her yes to God was a yes to mankind. You follow the heretical teachings of western protestants. The 7 Ecumenical and infallable Councils have already answered those questions. Try reading their minutes. The bible from the Church not Church from the bible. Sophia!

  • @mpenaco Why don't you just look at how phati129 answered my question. Jesus and God are of highest authority. So the Holy Mary is UNDER THEM. And phati129 believes that as well. If fellow Christians asks me to pray for them so that they can be closer to Jesus, then they're asking me a pray request. In the same way, Catholics ask the Holy Mary for her to pray for them and others. You need to understand that it is a blessing to have someone to pray for you like the Holy Mary or a love one.

  • @YouHaveBeauty Try looking in the Bible for any prophet or apostle who calls on a dead person's spirit for assistance in their prayers. You will not find one because they know God hates this practice. David, Paul, and even Jesus prayed directly to the Father and never through any medium. Consider the Lord's Prayer which Jesus himself taught. Does it contain any prayer to Mary or any saint in heaven? Scripture gives us abundant teachings and examples on how and whom to pray. Let us follow those.

  • @mpenaco Nothing is wrong with intercession, praying on behalf of someone. it is all over the bible. Job 5:1 "which of the holy ones will you call upon". Moses praying on behalf of the Jews countless times. Revelation, the elders in heaven are offering bowls of incense(prayers) for those on earth. nothing is wrong with asking someone to pray for you. maybe if you would pick up a book and learn about my faith which Christ established then maybe you wouldnt be bitching so much. Learn or shutup.

  • @mpenaco I see you've never read Tobit nor do you understand the concept of the 3 fold Priesthood created by God incarnate. Protestants don't have this authority from God, only the Orthodox, Catholic, and Oriental Orthodox posess this priesthood.

  • @mpenaco you have nicely expressed your opinion. Unfortunately you do not read your bible. u copy and paste. You are allowed to express your opinions but unfortunately for you they are only opinions and not truth. If you do not like it then quit commenting. you are doing no good here. Go preach to those who do not know Christ. We know Christ and Christ knows us. shalom

  • @phati129 (continued) "So do not pray for this people nor offer any plea or petition for them; do not plead with me, for I will not listen to you. Do you not see what they are doing in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. (continued)

  • @phati129 (continued-2) They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger. But am I the one they are provoking? declares the LORD. Are they not rather harming themselves, to their own shame?" (Jer. 7:16-19).

Conclusion: There is no queen of heaven. God punished the people of Judah for believing there is such a being. Now the Catholics are making the same error. What do you think God will do?

  • Here is a great question for you answer to let the viewers know you are still with God: Does Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary have the same level of authority and considered as equals?

  • @YouHaveBeauty Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth and therefore no one is equal to Him except the Father and the Holy Spirit.

  • @phati129 You have answered correctly, thank you!

  • Anything on earth people dont understand they say it is either evil or wrong. Jesus came and left and some still say thats not so.

Honour your mother and father. Today many curse their parents. look around, so the fight and curse over Mary is no different. Who said Hail Mary ... etc. It was the saultation and the message was delivered by the Angel Garbriel. If it is constantly repeated, and one honours the mother of Jesus, then whats the Fuss. If you dont like this way ok God bless.

  • I Like It :)

  • I Like It :)

  • @phati129...1st I'm not Byzantine. I 'jus use thee 'handle'...hope I didn't burst ur bubble. 2nd the singing on your video is not chanting...sounds like high pitched sreeching 2 me. And why do I need 2 listen 2 the recommended video..? PAX 2 u all. P.S.(sorry I took so long 2 comment) Later

  • @mpenaco

I agree with all you wrote except "You are fooling yourself if you think Mary is still human after"

thats your opinion, I dont buy it.

"If you read my post again, you will know that I was simply asking a yes/no question"

same here. Its a yes/no question you should ponder too. Thats all I said

  • @AndehLanzer The "Queen of Heaven" is the mother of Christ according to your church but not according to Scripture: "The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke me to anger. Jer.7:18.

  • @AndehLanzer Study your Bible. Jer. 7 and 44 are the only places where the title "Queen of Heaven" is used. God punished Israel for creating her and worshipping her. She was a false god. Just like the idols of Egypt, she does not exist. Now your church is using that title again and conferred it to a mere human. Your church is courting the wrath of God again. And Mary's soul is in anguish for what you are doing to her.

  • @mpenaco you say "Jer. 7 and 44 are the only places where the title "Queen of Heaven" is used. God"

err.. so What ? What is the point ? When the Isrealites worshiped false Gods - they called those idols Gods.. so does that mean that we should not call our true God 'God' ?

Also what do you call "A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars."

A Queen.. where is she ? Heaven..

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The point is this: God demands that we worship Him alone because He alone is the true God and there is no other. Worshipping a false god like the queen of heaven makes Him angry. But that's exactly what the Jews were doing during the time of the prophet Jeremiah. God was angry because His people waste their time in calling and making offerings to a being that does not exist, cannot hear and cannot respond to prayers. There is no queen in Heaven, there's only a King so stop

  • @MrJamesthecatholic calling anyone "Queen of Heaven" because that being does not exist at all! Mary is in heaven with God but not as a queen but as one of God's children.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The point is that God already tells us of the queen of heaven!

  • @kiwichristian2009

"The point is that God already tells us of the queen of heaven!"

Yes he does.. The point is you and I dont agree on the interpretation. Looking at a human plane .. you or I could both be right or wrong. 2000 years of Christians.. including the ones in the NT era interpreted it the way I did (which is basically what the Church believes). We clearly know how old the protestant interpretation is. Any real reason why you are right and I am wrong ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic I do not wish to bring this up now because we agreed to address one issue at a time and right now we are talking about Purgatory. But since you brought up the matter of baptized Christians who curse God, I would like to add to my response that this situation is the product of another wrong doctrine of the RCC -- that of infant baptism. We can debate this matter later but for now I wish to point out that true repentance is key to forgiveness and salvation.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Salvation by faith alone is demonstrated by the notorious cheater Nicodemus who repented of his sins and vowed to make amends with those he cheated. Jesus pardoned him at that point, not after he had shown some works. The thief on the cross whom Christ pardoned and promised him a place in heaven obtained salvation by faith. The thief died with no chance to show works but we know he was saved.

  • @mpenaco I do not know what you are talking about Nicodemus.. but about the thief on the cross... he was not baptized either... so going by your logic.. (that he did not have to do works and so do we)... we do not have to be baptized either... right ?

Jesus is God and he can save anyone as he wants.. but that does not apply to everyone of us does it ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The point I am driving at is that our salvation is ALL the work of God. It is not for man to say YES or NO to God's gift of salvation. When the Holy Spirit comes to us with the divine gift, we are changed in an instant just like what happened to Paul on the road to Damascus. Man's free will has no place in God's plan.

  • @mpenaco you say "It is not for man to say YES or NO to God's gift of salvation."

It is upto man to say YES or NO to God's grace. Otherwise no one will go to Hell.. But.. Of course you wont accept that.. since you are your own pope.

  • @mpenaco Wrong. It IS up to us to say yes or no. God has given us a free gift of salvation, whether we accept it or not is up to us.

  • @kiwichristian2009 Baptism doesn't mean that we will automatically get to

heaven. We are baptised as followers of Jesus who was also baptised.

I think you are just throwing to many stones at something you don't know

much about, and think we will believe your anti-catholic proof.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Correct. Baptism does not save us.

  • @mpenaco

you say ""Your logic is making you look stupid I'm sorry to say.""

doesnt that say it all ? Your beliefs lack basic logic and reasoning .. It cant stand any examination and is drenched in contradiction. Yet you go around saying that the Holy Catholic church is wrong ? If thats not hypocrisy and arrogance what is it ?

If you think I am stupid cause of logic.. let it be so.. you dont need to bury your brain to be Catholic, the way Protestants have to.

  • @mpenaco

"God had already planned our salvation long before He created us." hmm can you show that in the Bible ?

God certainly KNOWS our destination.. but can you show me how he has PLANNED it ?

As per what you say.... there are some of us who God created just to send to Hell... Interesting.. Where is that in the Bible ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic "just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love" (Eph. 1:4)

  • @MrJamesthecatholic in the next.

  • Comment removed

  • @mpenaco Jesus's sins did completely wipe away sins... but the question is whose sin's ? Can you go against God , hate God and still be in the company of God for eternity ? Can you be in heaven hating God the Father for eternity ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic I think my latest post before this has answered this question. The sins of those whom God had chosen to be with Him in Heaven before the world begun are the sins that God forgives by means of the sacrifice of Jesus. Those not chosen are not forgiven and are doomed to eternal punishment in hell.

  • @mpenaco "Those not chosen are not forgiven and are doomed to eternal punishment in hell."

really ? From which part of the Bible is that ? Are you saying that human beings have no free will and that all this is a grand drama ? wow !

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The Bible says " So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy." (Rom. 9:16). Salvation does not depend of man's will but of God's, that's what the Bible is saying.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The Bible declares: "What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory." (Rom. 9:22-23). God prepared two vessels - one for wrath and another for mercy. Each has a purpose and that purpose stands regardless of man's will.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic what will finally take them to heaven.

  • @mpenaco cont..

the only place where the words faith and alone come together in the bible is once...and at that point it has the word 'not' before it...James 2:24 "See how a person is justified by works and not by faith alone."

  • @mpenaco Also you agreed that nothing pure can enter heaven.. I am baptized and I sin all my life.. and I stink of sin... but I repent on my deathbed.. am I clean ? I am forgiven for sure.. but am I clean ? If that is so.. how would anyone go to hell ? And yet we know hell exists and its not empty...

All I am leading to is that there is this state (the Catholic church calls it Purgatory) where those who will reach heaven for sure are purged and made clean (not declared clean)..

  • @MrJamesthecatholic There is one truth in Scripture that might surprise you. It is this: Jesus did not die for each and every person that lived on earth. He only died for those souls that God gave to Him - Only for those people that God had planned to be with Him in Heaven. Where did I get this? From Jesus Himself: "I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you. For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours." (John 17:6-9). There are souls that Jesus do not die for and they are those that will go to hell.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic What do these words of Paul mean to you: "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9). Isn't "being saved" telling us that we go to heaven? Is not that telling us that our sins are completely forgiven? For how can you be saved if you still have unforgiven sins?

  • @mpenaco you may not accept my saying that there is a possibility that that sentence shows that there is a possibility that there is a possibility of some sins being forgiven after death... because you are looking at it with a "catholics lie" pair of glasses. But just take an honest look at it with a clean slate look... doesnt it even remotely sound that way ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The problem with your "possibility" is that it is totally negated by Scripture. The forgiveness of sins is a done deal. Christ died once and for all to remove the curse of sin and bring us to God clean and spotless. "1 Peter 3:18: For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God."

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Heb. 9:26-28: But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people.

  • @mpenaco

Third.. I guess you believe in the Trinity (and if you dont you are not Christian to start with)... can you show me a passage in the Scripture which explicitly says that God is a Trinity and that he is three persons in one being ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

  • @mpenaco thats not my question "he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames."" how can he be saved but like escaping through flames... how does that happen ? is there suffering in heaven ?

also I was not "not even distinguish between this life and the life to come." but was asking you if "ETERNAL sin" and "in this age or in the age to come." rings a bell for you. As I understand it.. it points out the possibility that there are sins that can be forgiven after death.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJamesthecatholic To me, the message of 1 Cor. 3:15 is crystal clear: Man's work here on earth is tested by God. If it passes the test, man receives his reward in heaven. If it fails, then his efforts are considered a loss but he will be saved but his salvation will be as one escaping through a fire. His work is burned but his soul will survive is what the passage is saying. Will he survive because of the prayers of people? No, the blood of Christ will save him.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Purgatory is a major doctrinal teaching of the RCC and all you can cite for Scriptural support is a statement that "points out the possibility that there are sins that can be forgiven after death." Isn't there any passage you can cite that specifically mentions a place between heaven and earth for souls who are friends of God but with unrepented sins? If that is all you hang on for support, then you and the rest of the Catholics are standing on a very shaky ground.

  • @mpenaco you say "Isn't there any passage you can cite that specifically mentions a place between heaven and earth for souls who are friends of God but with unrepented sins?"

First who says that people with unrepented sins go to purgatory ? Thats what you think.. not what the Catholic church teaches..

Second... while your interpretation and my interpretation are different.. why is there any reason that yours is correct and mine is wrong ?

  • @MrJamesthecatholic So people who go to Purgatory have all repented of their sins? So why are they in Purgatory? Your church teaches that your prayers can help pay for the sins of those who are there. Do you believe that? You are a sinner, why would God accept your prayer as payment for another soul's sins? Only Jesus' perfect sacrifice is acceptable to God.

  • @mpenaco you say "Your church teaches that your prayers can help pay for the sins of those who are there. Do you believe that? "

Yes I do believe that. You are a part of the Body of Christ when you are alive and you do not cease to be so when you die, infact you become even more a member of the Church and Christians pray for one another. Of course you wont accept that.. since you are your own pope.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic I think you are referring to Mk3:29 because there is no Mk3:39 in my Bible. The meaning of Paul's statement "the person will be saved, but only as through fire" is clear to see. The NIV boes a good job on 1 Cor. 3:14-15. It says "If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames." Purgatory is not the subject here. Paul likens the salvation of a person

  • @mpenaco "is simply to stress" really .. but why those words ... is it really for "stressing" the importance ? Lets look at the corresponding verse in Ml3:39 "but is guilty of an everlasting sin"

Dont you see an element of time there ? Btw simply writing it off as stressing something is what we can do very easily to any verse,, but the Holy spirit does not use words in vanity... and as a Christian who trusts in the Word of God.. for your own sake.. pay close attention to the words..

  • @MrJamesthecatholic To be sure, the Bible does not say that this statement of Jesus was meant to stress that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable thing to God. This is my own understanding. But even if my understanding is wrong, this statement hardly proves that (1) Purgatory exists and (2) People who are alive can offer prayers to God to atone for unrepented sins of the departed souls.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Mark3:29 does not even distinguish between this life and the life to come. He simply states that "...whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin."

  • @MrJamesthecatholic You have the Catholic Church to guide you, so why are you not using your own church's teachings in your arguments? I have been criticizing the doctrines of your church like Purgatory, the doctrines on Mary, Papal Infallibility as unscriptural and contrary to God's teachings. Let's hear arguments from your church, not from your own mind. For example, your church asserts that Purgatory exists and I say it does not according to Scripture. Let me see arguments from your church

  • @MrJamesthecatholic My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power." (1 Cor. 2:1-5)

  • @MrJamesthecatholic "When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling.

  • @mpenaco I stand corrected. I now know from the CCC that the woman represents both the Blessed Virgin and the Church. Apologies

  • @MrJamesthecatholic apologies accepted.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic Your church teaches that Mary did not have other children hence the doctrine of perpetual virginity. But the woman in Rev. 12 has other offsprings besides Jesus. How do you reconcile that?

  • @mpenaco

"But the woman in Rev. 12 has other offsprings besides Jesus. How do you reconcile that?"

When Jesus gave the Blessed Virgin to St John just before he died on the cross, he gave her to us too.. Just as we are all offspirings of the 'orginal woman' from Genesis, we are also children of the new Eve, the new woman, Mother Mary....

but ofcourse .. you wont accept that.. since only you can interpret the Bible correctly.. and .. since you are Pope mpenaco

  • @MrJamesthecatholic So you think Mary is the "new Eve" just as Jesus is the new Adam. That is a cute analogy but totally unbiblical unfortunately. Scripture teaches that Jesus is the new or the second Adam but nowhere in Scripture is it taught that Mary is the second or new Eve. The new Adam came to fulfill what the first Adam and Eve failed to accomplish. A new Eve is not necessary because the new Adam fulfilled everything for us by dying on the cross.

  • @mpenaco

"So you think Mary is the "new Eve""

Thats not what I think. Thats what she is. It is there in Scripture, but not as 'Mary is the new Eve', but I wont bother explaining... cause you just say what you want and hear what you choose.

  • @MrJamesthecatholic So, its a personal interpretation of the rcc?

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJamesthecatholic you answered your own question. The Church is the mystical body of Christ. Christ calls himself the bridegroom of the Church, so in reality Jesus is unified to the Church. He is the head of the Church and we are a part of His mystical body The Church is our mother because it is through the Church that we are reborn into the world as the adopted children of God. She is there for happiness and joy and with us in times of distress. She is truly a mother Christ is the bridgefroom

  • @phati129 I stand corrected. I now know from the CCC that it is represents both the Blessed Virgin and the Church. Apologies

  • @MrJamesthecatholic The woman in Rev 12 cannot be Mary because she has other offspring as stated in verse 17: "Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring—those who obey God's commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus."

  • @phati129 and also Eve and the nation of Israel. But not all of Rev 12 applies to each of these symbolism.

  • @phati129 So you changed your mind about the identity of the woman in Rev 12. In one post, you say she is Mary. In another, you say she is Mother Church.

  • Salve Regina!!! O Most Holy Ever Virgin Mary! Theotokos! pray for us! Make both lungs form the Church, the Holy Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church be One as Jesus, the Father and the Holy Spirit are One!

  • @mpenaco @mpenaco James 1:12 - those who endure will receive the crown of life which God has promised. Mary has received the crown of life by bringing eternal life to the world. Rev. 12:1 - Mary, the "woman," is crowned with twelve stars. She is Queen of heaven and earth and the Mother of the Church. Wis. 5:16 - we will receive a glorious crown and a beautiful diadem from the hand of the Lord. Mary is with Jesus forever crowned in His glory.

  • @phati129 The "crown of life" mentioned in James 1:12 is the everlasting life that God promised to those who keep His commandments. Rev. 12:1 is symbolic of Mother Church, not Mary because the Woman (the Church) has offsprings while Mary does not. Mary is with Jesus forever because of her obedience just like the rest of God's children who keep the Word of God in their lives.

  • The term "Queen of Heaven" was a false godess to whom ancient Israel burned incense and offered sacrifice. God destroyed Israel because of their idolatrous practice of worshipping the "queen of heaven" and now you are repeating the same horrible mistake.

  • @mpenaco James 1:12 - those who endure will receive the crown of life which God has promised.

  • @phati129 Jesus, not Mary, brought eternal life to the world. Mary received her reward for her obedience to God's Word. But her motherhood is less important than our obedience to God's commandments as Jesus plainly stated: As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." He replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." (Lk. 11:27-28). The RCC is giving Mary's motherhood a false meaning.

  • @mpenaco Through Mary Eternal lifebecame possible for her womb became more spacious than the universe by containing the manna which fed the Israelites. But eternal life, as you have said, is only possible through Jesus Christ Amen. In response to your comment, to the contrary, Jesus is exalting Mary by emphasizing her obedience to God's word as being more critical than her biological role of mother. This affirms Luke 1:48.

  • @phati129 Jesus is exalting Mary? Who did Jesus claim to be His mother? "Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother." (Mk. 3:35).

  • @mpenaco Also the Greek word for "rather" is "menounge." Menounge really means "Yes, but in addition," or "Further." Thus, Jesus is saying, yes my mother is blessed indeed, but further blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it. Jesus is encouraging others to follow Mary's example in order to build up His kingdom. finally, Jesus is the one being complimented not Mary. Jesus is refocusing the attention from Him to others who obey the word of God.

  • @phati129 "Menounge" also means "yea rather", "more than that", and "nay but".

  • @mpenaco If He is refocusing the attention away from Him to others, His comment cannot be a rebuke of Mary His mother. (concerning Luke 11 27-28). But the role of a mother is not just to concieve and bring a person into this world. Remember your own mother in your life and her important role in it. A Mother is more than just a vessel my friend. God bless you

  • @phati129 Mary was certainly used as God's vessel of honor. However our obedience to God's commands is what is important to Jesus.

  • @phati129 Jesus' reply is to stress the point that it is our obedience to God's will that really matters to God. Mary kept God's will and she was blessed for it. But Jesus does not want people to give any other meaning to Mary's motherhood than the fact that she was obedient to God's call. Giving her the honor of Queen of Heaven is something God never gave to Mary. "Queen of Heaven" is a false goddess during Jeremiah's time. Let's not ruin Mary's memory by giving her a false God's title.

  • Sister Act version? I love it. I wish they did this version in my church.

  • i just posted sister act's hail holy queen.. and this is it... and yes, it is fun and i love it this way.. there's also a traditional version just look into youtube =)

  • is that the real tone of "salve regina"?

  • @TheDarkStrongMan no but its fun =]

  • Today the 15th is the Feast of the Assumption of our Blessed Lady! What a wonderful tribute to the one who always points us to her Son! Hallelueh!

  • First time I heard this wonderful song in the movie "Sister Act" with Whoopie Goldberg.

    Kind greetings from Germany

  • @phati129....I didn't understand what u said. I see though u comment alot. u must b schooled alot in what u say. I like the chanting w/o the instruments. I can see that your blessed. Take care. PAX. MrMichael446

  • too much of a contemporary slant to it. get back to the chanting. that' 'jus my opionion. PAX. Mr.Michael

  • @MrMichael446 lol im byzantine so im all about chanting, but the blessed psalmist does say "praise him with timbrel and chorus, praise him with strings and pipes, may everything that has breath praise the Lord". im sure God doesnt mind a secular rendeition...well outside of the Liturgy lol

  • Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ the man, not Jesus Christ the God.

    Harry

  • @harry811 So what your saying is Jesus was born man then became God later? Even though in the Gospel of St. John, he tells us that Jesus is the Word incarnate? this argument is rationally unsound using scripture. Just some refrences -Isaiah 7:14; Matt. 1:23 - a virgin (the Greek word used is "parthenos") will bear a Son named Emmanuel, which means "God is with us." John 1:14 - God in flesh dwelt among us. Mary is the Virgin Mother of God.

  • @harry811 Gal. 4:4 - God sent His Son, born of a woman, to redeem us. Mary is the woman with the redeemer. By calling Mary co-redemptrix, we are simply calling Mary "the woman with the redeemer." This is because "co" is from the Latin word "cum" which means "with." Therefore, "co-redemptrix" means "woman with the redeemer. Mary had a unique but subordinate role to Jesus in salvation.

Eph. 1:1; Phil. 1:1; Col. 1:2 - Saints from the HB Qassiysh means Holy One, Mary is the greatest Saint of all.

  • @harry811

Unfortunately the Prots want to have it their way and both ways; Jesus is the God-Man but Mary is only the mother of Jesus the man--right.

  • @RPenta Protestants read the same scriptures yet come up with something totally different. To be Catholic means to be educated. That is why protestants who get their graduate degrees from actual universities usually convert to the true faith, ie Scott Hahn.

  • @harry811 OH, so now there are two Jesus?! Cool! I always thought that Jesus was one Person! not two!

  • Hail, Holy Queen!

  • Greetings - and Thank you for your work in putting this montage together with the hymn (Hollywood style!) I take great solace in prayer to Our Lady, and find great comfort in doing so. Your posting has enhanced, and helped. I hope that all who view it will themselves, take something good from it, for even a small flicker of light within, nutured by Mary, can only do good, and help us all in such torrid times we live in. Bless you, and thank you again.

  • Love the song,love the pictures.Love it all..Great job!

  • Salve Regina! There is no worship of Mary going on, only honor, love and respect as the mother of out Lord and our mother. As Christ our Lord said to the beloved disciple, "Behold your mother!" As Mary nurished the child Jesus, so she nurished the infant Church up until the day of Pentecost. "And a sword shall pierce you're heart also" it is written. At the foot of the cross she joined in the sufferibng of her Son.

  • Salve Regina! Holy Mary, Mother of God pray for us!

  • Sister act brought life to this tired hymn

  • hail Queen of Mercy...

  • i love it !

  • @FrandleScarlet77 Indeed He is Risen! Alithos Anesti!

  • What a wonderful song! Although, as an Orthodox Christian, I favor more eastern hymns, this is really beautiful!

    Christ is Risen!

  • @tmh726 mary is praised in the bible , mary the mother of jesus christ , and a woman clothed with the sun and the moon was under her feet and upon her head were crown of twelve stars , i just dont get why protestants dont believe in mary just because shes not mention every second word in the bible youse wont believe

  • why do you worship mary when the bible clearly states she was not divine and should not be worshipped? just wondering

  • @dicanio150 please check ur inbox. God Bless

  • @dicanio150

    i wonder the same thing

  • @dicanio150 We are not worshipping her. But we do honor and love the chosen Mother of Christ (God the Son). And not only that, she is our mother. If Christ is our brother then is not Mary our mother? As Jesus said to the beloved disciple: Behold your mother!

  • @dicanio150 *sigh* If only you would check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church's own teaching...It clearly states that we do not worship Mary. You need to be able to separate fact from fiction.

  • Logos is the Word : In principio erat verbum.

    Father: Ethos

    Son: Logos

    Holy Spirit: Pathos

  • @h20bp In greek, 'logos', means more than just "verbum" in latin. In the Scott-Lidell Greek Lexicon, there is about 3 pagse of meanings just for the word Logos.

  • Lovely song, sweet and hopeful story. But I emphasise on the word "story".

  • @jc172197 Well, there will be no point in arguing but i can tell you that Mary and Jesus actually did live and if you deny that than you deny historical fact. All the other stuff is based in faith and Tradition so that i can not argue. Thanks for watching !

  • Ahhh the one thing I will never argue over is historical fact. I solemnly do believe a Jewish man named Yashua (Jesus [or Isa if your Muslim]) and his mother Mary did exist. I believe that this Rabbii he was a very important and selfless man with an important spiritual and moral lesson and that his mother was one of the most significant women of history. (I was once Catholic, am not Jewish for clarification or Muslim)

  • @jc172197 So then i can argue that Yashua was chosen by God, annoited so to say like other prophets of old? or is that to much for arguments sake lol?

  • You can argue that, and I would be inclined to believe that Yashua more than likely was a prophet spreading word that worship of God was inclusive to all mankind not just His chosen. But Mary the mother of God? Enthroned above? Queen of Heaven? Divine Mary? No no no, a mythos declared truth by the Catholic Church..... the words of men do not amount to being divine... that includes many other things. But others might get angry to here what they would aspire to call, heresy.

  • @jc172197 We must understand now that there is a difference between mythos and theologos. As catholics believe, and as scripture points out to us, Jesus was the logos, or reason. Reason being God, Jesus was Reason incarnate. In a Catholic/Orthodox pov, if Jesus was Logos, than the one who bore must be the Mother of Logos. Though you may call the scriptures the words of men, others call it divinely inspired. This "mythos" was declared true in 451 at the third ecumenical council in Ephesus.
