@MrPesako New Zealand = small stadiums, few hotels. will make a big loss. Japan = big passion for rugby. Hugh potential to spread the game into Asia. Big companies were ready to get involved which would have made big money to spread back into the game. Japan will haveRWC in 2019 but it has put rugby back 10 years. Rugby can't get bigger in NZ so whats the point in having RWC there. IRB voting system is unfair. It should be ONE UNION ONE VOTE. All 98 uniouns should have 1 vote on IRB board
Was reading in Rugbyworld Magazine about how biased the draw is on the teams outside the BIG 8 and how THE BIG 8 have all the voting power even though there are 98 unions in the so called "international" rugby board. About time each union had 1 vote each like FIFA does. Come on IRB be fair to all nations and make the BIG 8 go on tour to nations like Japan, USA. Allow teams like Georgia etc a chance to get promotion to the 6 Nations. Just SORT IT OUT or soon international rugby will die
