  • Love this effect. I am trying to figure out how to use it in a live set. I think I put it on a send instead of the master track so I can just switch it on and off. A second alternative would to be group the three effects and add automate a fader or know on my controller.

  • Dude, you have no idea, this is the effect I've been looking for. I had NO idea what it was called. You use a different program, but I get the idea now. My music can finally take off man.

  • This is sick!!

  • Very nice tutorial just like the others Jezper made. Love this effect and have used it in a number of my tracks. It's also a very good sounding effect when played live at a club.

  • yo dude. was wondering if you would be able to demonstrate a video on drum rolls leading up to a break.! can't seem to get the hang of it..

big fan of your work man and appreciate these videos.. cheers!

  • use a 808 drum (or something like it) and make a tight drum' stutter' , then use a highpass filter and let it come up the way you like

  • ha ha

  • very usefull too, u making really great videos dude, keep up!

  • got it! nice1 #

  • ive exported my finished audio onto my desktop to put on cd. instead of a (wav.) file i get a (wav.asd) does anyone no how to make into a file which can be put onto cd and then played on a stereo THANK YOU V MUCH.

  • The asd file is only an analysis file for your exported wav. When you export and you have "create analysis file" clicked, ableton will output two files; the wave file and the asd-file. So your wav should be there

  • GREAT STUFF!

  • Cool trick man! Great idea

  • These is an easier way to automate all those parameters, just group the effects and assign the parameters to a macro (use the map mode to edit the ranges), and this way you only have to automate only one knob in the arrangement view

  • Great Job brother, really enjoy your tutorials!

Thanks from the bottom of my heart...!

    =D

  • great stuff! how do you do it in real time?

  • Why can't I now watch in HD?

  • Weird, works fine here!

  • And with me as well...

  • awesome tutorial bro, really great! thank you!

  • Hey man. Brilliant set of videos you've made. They have helped me big time in starting out :)

  • Comment removed

  • lovely tutorial , this is the kind of help i need ,when i see it done its so easy to follow you really are a good teacher cheers

  • Jezper, one question!

If I want one channel to be unaffected by the effects on the master channel what can I do?

  • I'm not sure I'm totally 100% sure on this one, but as far as I know, the master is always your final out in Ableton Live. You cannot have any channels going to the master without being affected by the master FX. I've just gotten Ableton Live 8, and there you can group tracks, and that makes it a bit easier to do what you're talking about, because then you can do this kind of FX on one group channel alone, not affecting the master out. There might be other ways to do it thought... anyone?

  • Just open up some Audio tracks that work as "busses" (Bus A and B for example). Switch those tracks to "In", Audio To: "Master". Then route tracks 1, 2 and 3 to Bus A (Audio To: "Bus A" and track 4 to Bus B (Audio To: "Bus B"). Now add an effect on Bus A, and Bus B will be unaffected.

  • Thanx for this amazing help!!!!

  • You're tutorials are great. You seem to show a nice bit of insite in your vids. Your workflow is kick as fast too. I'm learning a lot just watching you use shortcuts and methods that just work fast over all. Very cool.

  • Wonderful tutorial

    5 stars!!!

  • very nice. il try it out

  • Great tutorial thanks a lot for sharing !!!

  • xcellent tutorial brother

    thanks for sharing the knowledge

  • trance secrets revealed tnx man

  • Excellent!!

I Noticed you did not use the ¨Add Automation Lane¨ feature

it really does help make automations faster. also, when you used automation you made the same envelopes. in those cases I would recommend to copy the envelope and paste it to another parameter. but well, it´s just a tip!!

  • Yeah, I didn't use Add Automation Lane there. I do most of the times, but when I try to be fast, I often forget about it. mostly because I've been using Ableton for such a long time that it doesn't come as naturally as other features comes to me. Maybe it's also because of the limited screen size I have at my disposal :)

  • ohh, ok =) well to be honest I forget to do it sometimes :)

something good about it might be that beginners actually see when you select the parameters you automate.

  • awesome mate!!

  • aaaand subscribed :) wonderful tutorials ;)

  • well sort of lol great tutorial

  • great tutorial!! you're the best!! Can you show how make uplifting trance bass line??Like you use in Airbase feat. Floria Ambra - Denial (Airbase Remix)!! I like your music!!

  • wonderful tutorial! thanks for all the tips, some of the best on youtube!

  • This is very very kind of you I realy enjoyed the music so catchy lol hahaha very awsome!

  • very interesting... i didnt think it would be as simple as it is... was thinking it would require alot more automation and programming.

    (y) very nice gj

  • pretty nice technique for delay tailing, what i did before this was to duplicate the channel with my effects and let the delay feedback go on while on the new channel is not feedbacked, but this way makes the mix much more efficient in terms of cpu usage, since im not doubling a synth and its effects!

    thanks for this nice tech

  • Yep used to do the same

  • Great tutorial bro. That effect can be used to great extent in and type of electronic music. And usually helps keep a good groove going without having to do a big breakdown in it.

    Thanks.

  • hey thx for the tutorials
