Saw them in 1980 i think it was not sure @ Northamton Lesuire Centre only 500 allowed in and all their Families brill night met them in the daytime, graet day.
It's been so long I may have got the nights muddled but I've seen Bauhaus twice at the Racecourse.
One was right after Sid Vicious's death so that must be this one. Was this also the is the gig that had The Native Hipsters as support or was that the other one?.
For the first 10 mins, you couldn't see anything but a b&w TV set front of stage just showing Pete's face as he sang/did poetry (or something weird) into a video camera offstage.
Yes I do. And what bootlegs do you have?? ;) Would love to know.. I am like a crack addict when it comes to bauhaus.. Well, not as much anymore, just on certain rainy tuesdays.
Really? Do you have a source for that? I'd be interested in seeing it. I have several bootlegs with some unknown songs, so it'd be great to get names for them.
You're welcome :] I got most of the pictures off of the official Bauhaus forums-- took me days to go through all of the topics to find them, but it was worth it for these pictures!
Haha, well, you know your Bauhaus stuff, so you're mostly likely correct. I was just making a wild guess :] How dumb of me to forget that their first gig was at a pub!
what other recordings do you have from this era? I was in a band on the same circuit as bauhaus and at one point they open for us a the racecourse pavilion. I remember seeing the Isaws, Grip, the zipps and host of otherbands there. I was the guitar player in Zyclon B
Hey, thanks for the comment. I wish I could help you, but unfortunately I wasn't even born that time, so I've no other recordings. I only got the Bauhaus bootlegs from other file sharers. I'm really of no help. haha. Sorry. Hope you can find what you're looking for elsewhere!
I don't really know when it was that they toured with Magazine, though. Sorry!
There are a few other songs from some early shows that are kind of rare like this one. Perhaps I'll post it up when I have the time (although the sound quality is not all that great)

You probably have these already, then, but here they are:
Chicago Space Palace (05.08.1980)
Le Rose Bonbon, Paris (1981)
Manchester Fagins (28.10.1981)
Northampton Racecourse Pavillion (03.03.1979)
Pavilhao Multiusos, Lisboa, Portugal (14.11.1998)
Shibuya Kokaido, Tokyo, Japan (28.05.1983)
and I think I have one more, but just never went through it...
Kind of taking a Bauhaus-break right now, though, since I think I got a little too Murph-happy and overdosed. haha.

Wow! Thanks for posting this!
Anyway I don't think this was from any tour because it's being performed in their hometown.
It's got to be one of their first shows but it's not THE first because they formed in '78 and their first gig was in a pub.
If it is from a tour it would be the one with Magazine 'cause that was their first tour.
