I have had multiple BMW's. My current 335 is going to be my last. They have killed everything that I loved about them with those crappy run flat tires. STI or EVO for me next, just so I can release all those frustrations. Will be switching January, can't wait.

I love the STI. It's been my dream car for a longgg time (I'm in a WRX right now), but if I had the money I would definitely rather have an S8. Maybe the STI would beat it around the track, but it would be much more comfortable for daily driving and also much classier. I would say that lots of people driving sti's these days are douchbags though...it's a real shame how Ken Block managed to influence a whole culture of assholes to get in a Subaru. Don't judge us all. :)

friend owns a audi and i own subaru wrx. both cars have advantages. i looked into buying a new audi a4 which would of ended up costing me an extra 5 grand. instead i bought new subaru wrx and i have more horse and more torque then the audi for 5 grand cheaper. only thing audi has that i wouldnt mind having is the 60-40 instead of the subaru 50-50 awd

if your idea of fit and finish is a dog house then yeah sure. The 3.0 TFSI Audi S4 will run 4 rings around your STi. And since the chassis & suspension of the VE Commodore was design by Germans (Opel) the HSV Clubsport R8 (other wise know as Vauxhall VXR) will vomit on the STi face

Well, I consider "better" to be more bang for the buck. But in reality, I suppose that battle would be won by a motorcycle.
But yeah, I know about the Group B Audi Quattros. But I think now they're just too expensive for the return in performance.

On topgear they say Audi's are driven by douche bags. Based on how you defend audi I'd have to agree. What audi is going to run rings around the STI? Really with a 110in wheelbase? Don't be so stubborn, on the track the subbie's gonna lead in every category. Audi = overpriced and overrated. And I don't even need to bring up reliability, everyone knows audi's a shit storm in that category.

woah, hold on now. I absolutely love the STI, but the Audi A4 diesel has been rated the most reliable car on the road. Audi is hardly an unreliable brand. And what Audi is going to run rings around the STI? I assume you're heard of the RS4 right? what about the R8? Expensive or not, those are some of the fastest cars on the road.

ok well the USA doesn't "stick" with its own market, they sell their cars all over the world too, and dont get me wrong, I like European cars too, so it would suck to not have those in the US. I think its great to have a wide variety of cars to choose from around the world, but I would still rather have an STI over any Euro car any day. just my opinion.

Where is Subaru? :DDD and if its unreliable + unuseful why is it so god damn expensive?? pls answe me that :) And if its a so good and powerful car, why isnt everyone buying them around here? Japaneese cars "legendary reliability" is just an urban legend.. they arent any better than any German brands models.. Since many jap carmakers has cooperated with the french (for example Renault-Nissan), their quality and reliabilty started to spoil.. +copiing this new kind of "fast &fuckious" style is getting a little boring now.. like there arent way better cars then in the movie.. Im fucking fed up with the kiddy assholes in rx8-s, civics, integras.. U should get a life!!!!

first of all ,I live in Europe, the land of German cars :) things (and prices) are a "little" different here :) Jap cars are often way more expensive than a base Opel, VW, Ford or maybe BMW, while having a way cheaper feeling compared to theese brands!

AWD can get good fuel economy as well. Hell, the 2010 Subaru Legacy gets up to 31 highway pretty much the same as it's 2 wheel drive competitiors.
