ringing truth ... although the arrogance of i is still here ha your truth rings - thank you so much ... your videos help bring attention away from me me me...smiling...i know ask.."Who is smiling" (:
Watching this video again after several months this is a great lesson, it does well at pointing out the persistent way our minds fight back for an emotional bondage hold on the negation concepts that work toward freeing us from these ego traps. I feel like Mooji is enforcing this insight into our snapping turtle behavior of biting and holding on after our head has been amputated. It hit me personally and insightfully. The young man hopefully got something out of that very slight reminder.
I Love Mooji´s response, he can be so sweet and soft when he is talking to an open heart, but he also knows what tone is needed when he encounters a hard mind... i dont think that speaking to that man in any other way would have helped him, it would have just fed the same attitude that he had in the first place! Mooji meets you where youre at.
When a lighting hits the earth through no resistance in its travel, it is smooth and silvery softness; but when there is resistance result is thunder and spectacular power of display. Thereafter everything is quiet and peaceful like Mooji smile in the end. The truth hit home full of compassion.
this is the only video ive seen where mooji looks as if he does have some dislikeness about mind...he speaks to the man as if mind is trying to trick him or idk...maybe my mind is interpreting what im seeing....
Evemaud, perhaps he is saying that his head is always at the feet of Beingness, the Lord, God, his Guru, Emptiness, whatever you want to call it, NOT at the feet of the ego, the little "I" (hence his comment "it's not you" talking to the ego of that guy. I'm not sure what he ment though aye someone else may be able to explain it better, I may be way off :))
Thanks zenji1, your interpretation makes sense. I must say that I feel a bit disturbed by this passage because it gives me the impression that Mooji exhibits a form of contempt towards the ego, his own ego and the ego of his interlocutor. I don't think contempt is a good idea even towards the ego. That would mean a form of spiritual arrogance but hopefully I get it wrong.
Hi Evemaud, I agree that contempt is disturbing, but I didn't detect any contempt in what Mooji was saying. The one thing I tend to notice in all his videos is his compassion. I think it is noticeable here too :)
Hello zenji1. Thank you for sharing your impression. I also watched some other videos with Mooji in which I found him a bit harsh with his/her interlocutor and I couldn't figure out whether he was being wise on these occasions (sometimes you just have to make the ego shut up I guess) or whether Mooji couldn't stand to be contradicted. I'm glad you didn't sense any contempt on his part and it could be that I'm just projecting my own contempt onto him!!
Furthermore, the points of reference made herein were in direct relation to the Title and subject matter of this Video by Mooji " Pure Arrogance of I ".

@JamesThomas It's amazing to see hard and strong words coming from a pure loving place. How powerful, how effective, so on point.

Hello Evemaud,
Its ok, firstly, with all due respect , think your active mind judges this as contempt. Not saying its good/bad, all our minds do that, mine too :)
Sometimes to understand something you need to hibernate, think Mooji is just pointing that out to this guy, he needs to be quiet.
Have you ever told a child to keep quiet because you felt something that you are explaining needs total 100% attention ?
Too much questioning is noise. It does not help you understand better.
Tnx

"Who"
is saying these words.
Such arrogance.
Truth
can be spoken of
but never said.

If you feel offended, its not truth feeling it..
Wulfgar12 3 years ago
wulfgar12,
Calling something by its proper name is not synonymous with being offended. Accordingly, no offense was felt.
As for the other interrelated points of reference herein:
"Who" is saying these words?
Truth
can be spoken of
but never said.
Hence the inclusion of "Such arrogance".
