  • brings back memories......1954... ..one of my favorites ..during christmas ..

  • I remember this song from Home Alone when I was a kid. It brings back good memories.

  • This song goes hard!

  • This song always reminds me of Steve Martin.

  • It's a lasting part of American culture now. I play it several times a year; sometimes even in July.

  • One of the great song adaptations of all time. A 10+.

  • Very nice song the Christmas. Thank you.

  • Bello questo video.

    Aurora

  • wonderful Christmas song this my friend.nice evening to you.and good your video too.Julia

  • Excellent musical performance!

  • Hi Nocaro,

you know , I've subscribed your vids. And you most ly present really nice songs. Jus one question to an expert. Can you explain why coloured people have better voices than white ones?

  • @ufneuss That's quite a question and I don't think that's necessarily the case. Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Barbra Streisand, and Patsy Cline, just to name a few, had some of the greatest voices you could find in the 20th Century, and I think most music critics would agree with me on this from a pure vocal standpoint. Certainly in more recent times, blacks have dominated the pop vocal scene, but I don't think there is anything physiologically inherent to which you could attribute this.

  • @Nocaro Yes, you're right, I do know them all and I like them. These akre all solo singers. But most your GROUPS are coloured people. This I meant

  • @ufneuss Based strictly on record sales between 1955 and 1984 the following "white groups" are in the Top 50: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bee Gees, Beach Boys, Four Seasons, Chicago, and Three Dog Night. Besides The Platters, the only "black groups" in the Top 50 are all Motown artists like The Tempts, Supremes, Four Tops, etc.

  • @ufneuss Any other comparison outside record sales would be totally subjective and left up to each individual's music tastes.

  • @Nocaro Of course I know all the groups/bands you mentioned, and I like them very much., but I just referred to your selection apart from sales figures . I think just taste counts.

  • @ufneuss LOL, my selection on YT is not necessarily reflective of all my tastes, but I think most people can see that I have definite preferences. Keep in mind that I cannot post everything I'd like to YouTube because of copyright issues. Thanks for your note.

  • ...nice...

  • Love it, Who said you can't shag to Christmas music?

  • @MrShoesand There is actually another version of this with just Clyde McPhatter singing that I love, but cannot find anywhere. A dj at the OD Pavilion played it for me one day and I about fainted.

  • @Nocaro I have a copy of it on a bootleg tape labeled as unpublished. I like it even better than any of the many versions by The Drifters.

  • @MrShoesand If you have this on disc and can send it to me, I'll TRADE you for something I have you might want. Let me know.

  • @Nocaro I wish I could oblige, all I have of it are 2 bootleg cassettes. I have a tape to pc recorder but I haven't been successful in converting anything to MP3 yet. I did manage to upload the Wilson Picket "Silver Bells"

  • @MrShoesand Thanks, anyway...Lanny

  • @Nocaro Your' s is on the way. I have it on my Channel for your review.

  • @MrShoesand That's very kind of you. Thanks...Lanny
