I bought this a year ago. I stopped carrying it on trips cause its way too heavy. I am now using it at home (my HP broke). I play Bioshock great but it gives me a lot of problems when I play FIFA09. Iwonder if I am doing something wrong with the settings? If someone knows let me know. I payed $1000 in BestBuy. Got the warranty too. I am currently looking for a travel size replacement of this FX (14inch or smaller), Any suggestions?

@SINCHIROCA07 there isnt i play gta 4 and it gives me lots of problems, it freezes and sometimes the game dosent start at all but when it does the processor gets extremely hot. ive decided to buy a 15 inch macbook pro which is much more portable and reliable, also the fx hardware and casing is very crappy and fragile

I have the 7805 and I want that laptop badly. It has the fastest mobile gpu, a quad core processor, back-lit keyboard, larger hdd, faster ram (if you're lucky), and a sleek look.

The 7805 comes stock with the low res 1440 x 900 however if you were lucky gateway accidentally hooked you up with the 1920X1200. The g73 comes with a 1080 resolution. I am going to wait one more year for the next gen laptop to make a purchase as the 7805 still is formidable.

the trackpad is awesome, its really smooth and responsive. You can get up to 3hrs of battery life in power saving mode, but when you are gaming it wont last longer than 1hr and 20mins... This is an awesome laptop!!

Gateway dose not have a toll free phone number to ask questions on a product. its like send it snail mail or fax it in. there is no way to make custom configure your system. so it comes with basic LCD screen low res screen. when my different brand name computers run in a much higer res. and not waste my time on Vista.

I jsut look at gateway sight and I cannot call any one and ask some basic questions on a product

Seriously? dude, the only 'benefit' of a smaller screen is the lower rez., your 22" will do any rez. below it's maximum (of course).

you will not see ANY performance increase by getting a smaller monitor, only by running on a lower resolution. instead of running games at 1920x1080 (or 1200, whatever your screen is) run them at something like 1280x720.

Does decreasing the resolution of a game give u the same performance boost as buying a screen with that resolution.

For Example: Will CoD4 on 1200x800 resolution (on a larger resolution screen) run as smoothly as the same computer running the game on a screen with that resolution. (a smaller screen)

Will me buying a smaller screen make my games run smoother than me just turning down the res. on a larger screen?

Running 1280x800 will be exactly the same on a 18" monitor as it will be on a 40" TV.

The video card only renders pixels at the resolution selected, the size of the display has nothing to do with it.
