Another thing: religion is not the source to all problems. Although religions due casue issues by excluding others and making themselves superior, relgions have also given hope to many in this world and with some faiths, the hereafter. The three big Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - promote love to others with different faiths and oppose violence. Religions don't kill people, people kill people.

As slomo said, ordering a war in which your enemies are intentionally killed and (sadly) many innocent civilians are also killed (a reality of war) is a far cry different than deliberately gassing thousands of your own dissident citizens as Saddam did. Nah, of course there was data about it before. I mean, sure it helped to drop two (not just one) atomic bomb on top of innocent men, women, elderly and uh... children. But that was totally messed up. I have to disagree on that. Although no being would like to go to war, wars evolve human beings to a higher state of intellectualism and increase our potential to survive. Without the atomic bomb, we would not have any knowledge of radioactivity that we use today to treat cancers and other illnesses.

It's not that HE affected a single person, no... it affected the entire country, and it would've been the same with anyone. Releasing a video of it (which was allowed by the government) is what bothers a lot of people. The execution of Saddam will ensue even more hatred, more violence and ultimately, more bloodshed.
