Hi just wondering where you bought this setup from. There's nothing on ebay from within the UK so i think i may have to pay customs(i don't like paying them for doing nothing for me), wot do u think?
you will need to buy the truggy in from the states (This specific model anywho) but when you do it will run on Nitro not electric. you will need to get rid of nitor gear and replace with brushless and get someone to machine motor mounts and stuff so it all fits together. i personally did everything myself, and my build thread is:
these models are clones of the hbx vrx 1....only abroad you will find the VTX ST1 but to make it brusless it costs more then the actual nitro version. keep a look on ebay. i am selling all 20 of my nitro and brusless models.
Got some Lipo's on the way, as for the "Lame ass" transmitter - that is a KO Vantage esprit 2, a top of the line 2 stick radio which is about $500 over here, in the UK everyone is running 2 stick over wheel, i have used both and for now am happy running with a stick radio.
well, considering going Lipo, still looking arroun for kit, only thing i cant find is a good LVC. i already have the 8XL and have for a while, but im happy with the 9xl and its a hell of an offroad basher too.
Before you get a higher Kv motor, just try running more cells. The feigao motors are good for up to 24 cells by manufacturer specs, but personally I wouldn't want to rev it harder than about 40,000 - so you'd still be safe at 16 cells. Either that or get some Lipos for gods sake! :P I didnt know anyone ran nimh in conversions like this?
