I think MAC has its good things, however...there is on thing that is a fact. Sofware availability is way more extended for PC than for MACs (games, programs, etc etc etc). Just for that it is not convenient for me.

1. I can find loads more of BETTER software.
2. Everything runs faster.
3. My computer is not slowed down by multitasking
4. I can play games that have good graphics.
5. I can program more efficiently.
6. I can run AutoCAD (I'm actually on my way to a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering also).
7. 3D modeling programs are more capable(by a long shot) and run faster.
8. Try running an enterprise class database server (oracle, SQL server)

And big businesses have huge deals of licensing with Microsoft for years to come, so if you think some revolution in the pc os vs mac os is coming you are greatly mistaken. asthenic that is provably false. Apple are selling more computers than they have ever in their history. Their market capitalization recently surpassed that of Dell's. If OS X 10.5 "Leopard" supports virtualisation of Windows programs, Dell and Microsoft are absolutely screwed - it will be safer (and probably faster) to run Windows programs on a Mac. Most businesses will not be able to resist the temptation of a 50% reduction in "IT Support" costs. Read the writing on the wall, people.

The programs Macs have are almost entirely translated versions of PC software that can't quite live up to the PC version. So yes that does mean its better, because I can find fully functional versions of the same software on Macs if I just use the PC version. Do some research and comeback when you have some REAL information, not 20 year old history lessons.

Mac struggles with Dreamweaver and is way slower to the point where its just ridiculous. As far as the programs being full of adaware and spyware, I'm sorry nobody cares enough about Macs or Mac owners to write that stuff for you too. Yeah, Windows has a larger software base because people write programs for PC not for Mac.

Learn the english language before you start detailing other people's comments. "Windows can't even render fonts correctly and IE cant even conform to webstandards..." Whereever this info came from is just plane wrong as far as the fonts are concerned, and if you are gonna base PC on IE, then what about the Mac version of Dreamweaver (a much more relevant program).

yeah, jeepers creepers uses PC so he took off his eyes so he never uses a mac any more.
I think MAC has its good things, however...there is on thing that is a fact. Sofware availability is way more extended for PC than for MACs (games, programs, etc etc etc). Just for that it is not convenient for me.

wow, what a load of crap. MAC computers are behind on the whole processors, graphics, sound parts, y'know the things that make computers better. Not only that, but using the OS is clunky...it requires more steps to perform any task on a MAC then on PC. AND they don't offer anything you can't get a better version of on PC. MAC used to be ahead of the game on all this stuff, but really they're just outdated now.

It's really easy to patch up windows, if you know anything about computers. Microsoft makes their software shitty on purpose so idiots will keep buying the updates or replacements. And those same idiots never learn. Just bitch bitch bitch and keep buying pcs anyway. I use windows but I also use only 3rd party software, and I've never had a problem.

Amazing out of the box? Maybe they mean all the amazing PC games that come in boxes. Or maybe the boxes with the latest Nvidia or ATI graphics cards, those are pretty amazing. Wait you can't use those on Mac.
