No, I was never impressed by Naseem. I have seen "inflated" boxer before. Then when they really meet a good fighter, they don't look that great anymore. I can name many who look good when certain fighter are hand-picked to fight them. They were no mugs, and mid to late 30s when he fought them. 30s was not considered old in those days, and fighting was completely different. Like every month, rather than every year nowadays. You'll never see a fighter have 200 pro fights again. Those 'old' men would still have beaten most other heavys around at that time. Marciano fought into his 30s as well - so maybe be was 'old' too?

No, I was never impressed by Naseem. I have seen "inflated" boxer before. Then when they really meet a good fighter, they don't look that great anymore. I can name many who look good when certain fighter are hand-picked to fight them. Barrera was in his peak when he beat Hamed, but a number of years later at 35 loses to Amir Khan. He would have beaten Khan if he had been the same age as when he fought Hamed.

They were no mugs, and mid to late 30s when he fought them. 30s was not considered old in those days, and fighting was completely different. Like every month, rather than every year nowadays. You'll never see a fighter have 200 pro fights again. Those 'old' men would still have beaten most other heavys around at that time. Marciano fought into his 30s as well - so maybe be was 'old' too?

Naz had wanted to fight Barrera years before this and probably would have won if he wasn't fighting off the back of a great run of successes and KO's and thinking that's how he could have won this.
