  • mookie had a crazy haircut with all those parts cut into his fade

  • that roll call Samuel did @ 6:17 was dope

  • it seems kind of barbaric to have your pizza delivery guy on foot, i used to do pizza delivery, everyone does it via car, and tips go to the pizza delivery guy partly because of pizza and also for the gas money for their car. if Mooki is going on foot, he should get more money, plus i notice when he delivers pizza he rarely gets a tip or a shitty tip, it doesn't surprise me it makes him mad, Sal should take better care of his employees or its not going to be cool.

  • @ 4:15 spike lee does a hand shake that me and my friends use to do, I'm curious if there is any history behind it, what does it represent?

  • @Tazmainian black people love MJ as much as any other race in 1989 everyone knows he had a skin condition which he mentioned a thousand times ... he still should of been mention cause his unforgettable success speaks for itself but is much greater and better than any black artist/entertainer

  • whats that music at 6:11???

  • the the thank you!! black man lmao

  • I want some brass nuks like that. LOVE and HATE!

  • when Rayheen talking to spike bout that love and hate look at expression ( what the f**K) thumbs up if you think they should recreate this movie but who goin to play Mookie?

  • what is funny that not only did they forget to name Michael Jackson they didn't notice that he sold more records and had more #1s than every music artist they named.. smh lol but i still love this movie

  • @v1234567ish you have to jump out of 2011-2012 and go back to 1989...at that time many tought MJ purposely changed his skin color to be lighter and blacks looked at him like a sellout

  • Radio Raheem walked miles with that radiio lol

  • spike lee should do a 2nd do the right thing

  • @123nyc1 Why? We already have "Do The Right Thing" and it's message is clear. The only thing a sequel could stand for is $.

  • @123nyc1 it'd be too expensive, danny aiello and john torturro are huge character actors, they get millions per flick

  • why did you cut the most central part of the movie. the dolly shot and the relationship between the son and the father. whats wrong with you. dont edit spike lee's work dont sugar coat it; god

  • i didnt care for mookie i like sal

  • A small issue can turn in to a riot and death brilliant film spike Lee is a genius I just watched it again after so many years and it's lost none of it's fight or power.

  • whats the moral of the story, and what does this have to do with RAce, Black Cinema? can someone tell me?

    \

  • @RohainArora the moral of the story is the tittle basically, to always do the right thing, do what you know is the right thing to do and not what people have been putting in your head for all the years you have been on earth. the right thing is to see the world for what it is and not what you are toldd it is.

  • racist or not.. im white, i dont care..i think this movie is just funny man ..just enjoy it

  • yo put sum extra moosarella on dat mofukka ass shit HAHAHAHA great quote right there

  • This movie is brilliant! So many good moments in here.

  • Look Guys this Movie was made over 20 years ago this was back then this movie quite frankly is the best movie ever it has everything that you would want in a movie there's culture music(Culturally)drama comedy fashion(Jordan's), a little scariness to it at the end and also a fantastic moral. Everything like the Early 90s that's what ultimately portrayed.Movies like this do not come everyday, that's why u guys r watching it so SHUT THE FUCK AND STOP TALKING SHIT AND WATCH THE DAMN MOVIE

  • this movie just shows no matter what race or color we are all lazy selfish people making excuses for everything we dont want to do

  • @Nailsdewed

cause he's shit and a peedo

  • WHy black people have to b e so damn ignorant when dealing with business they patronize?

  • y people just can't enjoy a movie on youtube nobody wanna read your book nobody cares about your speeches take all that preaching some place else who gives a fuck the movie is done aint no redue take it for what it is or watch something else nobody gives a shit shut the fuck up

  • is it just me or did radio raheem and mookie walked past each other at 4:06

  • @LikkleFrizz yeuh but in the bureaus you see the same folks all day and you not gon speak everytime you see em. lol

  • Get a Job !

  • If this movie was trying to highlight the racism portrayed on both ends, including that perpetrated by the black community, then it makes sense. But if it was trying to make a case for the black community alone, then it didn't do a very good job. You do not walk into someone else's establishment with your radio blasting. You shouldn't even have it on in the first place. It is rude, and quite frankly, illegal. The pizza shop owner was well within his rights telling him to turn it off.

  • I'm sick and tired of Fight the Power for chrissakes!

  • after all this, i didn't know that mookie is spike.

  • Remember when radios were huge? We couldn't make them big enough.

Now they're so small, you could put them up your ass.

  • @juliabohemian ive been looking for a ghetto blaster and yeah theres no big azz radios anymore it sucks

  • I learned how to box from Radio Raheem

  • Mookie don't mess with the Jesus.........

  • Radio Raheem looks like LLCool J

  • If it's so hot, why has the dad put a jumper on??

  • Hahaha i love that i had to watch this movie as an assignment :P

  • @leblady3 do u happen to go to health career academy?

  • @randymossnumber1fan nope. y did u have to watch this fro school too?

  • @leblady3 yo dude me 2!

  • He should have been able to play his boombox because rap is not music, just noise.

  • @InsanelyINsane makes no sense

  • @InsanelyINsane accctualy u cant dis rap. because its fuckin dope.. real rap, not the illumanit shit constructed to bring down the black man, even white ppl rock n roll came from black ppls music

  • @InsanelyINsane all music is noise, u can say that about rock and roll, pop, hip hop, rnb, country and rap, but the type of noise that is brought together makes it music

  • @ 1:00 that talk is from Night of the Hunter.

  • Anyone here ever met Spike lee? I heard he was a down to eaarth, all around nice guy. He sounds like it in his commentaries?

  • thaank youuuu blaaack maaan!

  • I like Sal he understands prejudice is okay but racism crosses the line and makes you unemployed

  • i dont get why black people dont really give a shit bout hendrix the radio guy naming all those black music artist i didnt hear one hendrix or sly and family stone and yes im white

  • @wadereed27 They didn't name Little Richard, Bootsy Collins, Bob Marley, Slash, Robert Johnson and etc...and Yes i'm hispanic.

  • @SuiARevelyon slash isn't black..

  • @filthsteppin3750 - Slash's mother is African-American and his father is a White Englishman. He's always pretty open about that fact, but doesn't seem to attach any particular label to himself that I can recall.

Interestingly, he is featured in "The Black List: Vol. 1" The documentary features interviews with prominent African-Americans including Al Sharpton, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Toni Morrison, Chris Rock. Take from that what you will.

    imdb.com/title/tt1157614/fullcredits#cast

  • @NativeMoon ohhh okay then. yeah i just remember looking him up on wikipedia some years ago and it only noted his english decent.

  • @wadereed27 who bro? i don't know anyone of the dudes you just mentioned. and no, i'm not black.

  • @wadereed27 TRUE music fans appreciate ALL music regardless of color. If he named all the good artist that would take up the movie right there. He was just giving examples of artist ALL African Americans know and appreciate....and yes I'm black and I do enjoy and appreciate Hendrix and Sly.they both did good music.

  • @wadereed27

Well do you want to watch the video all night - he also didn't mention...Art Tatum, Coleman Hawkins, ***Bud Powell***, Oscar Peterson, Elvin Jones, Otis Spann, Big Joe Turner, Fred Wesley, Hugh Masekela, Sonny Rollins, Professor Longhair.....and the list goes on and on........

  • yo mookies cool with everbody lmao

  • I think alot of times when i talk about this movie wit other black people they miss the point! They only notice to black oppression! But this movie is bigger! It is about a lack of understanding by all races! And the end is quite tragic! The pot over boiled! Over a lack of love and understanding!!! Get the real message black people! Hold up!! All people! But then I always end up the one drunk and in some kinda trouble so maybe I should consider the quart method!

  • word! how can he name all the great black musicians ... & not say Michael Jackson, like he said Janet Jackson

well knowing spike lees work .. that was most likely symbolic

  • @pdona18 i was shocked and appalled when i didn't hear michael jackson's name!

  • This was before he died. Everyone still hated him.

  • "Everyone" hated him? Are you kidding? Right, that's why he went on to be the most popular performer of our time & sell more albums than anyone else in the world....everyone MUST have hated him for that to happen, huh...smh

  • O.K., You're right but still MANY people called him a child molester (AFTER HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY) and talked of how they hated him. But when he died he became everyone's hero. That comment was rhetorical, meant to say that(Most People) are fucking hypocrites! Most people should at least adopt some opinions of their own!

  • You're right, people are fucking hypocrites. When he was alive, many people believed the media's bullshit and quickly passed judgement without looking into the case properly, but then became obsessed with the man right after he died. Sucks, but I guess it's just human nature to fully appreciate people once they are gone...

  • @pdona18 Obviously, lol.

  • Comment removed

  • wats he wearing under neath his shorts at 4:40
