Plotpoint: Judgement Day was delayed: Pretty interresting.
T-850: Okay, I get it, it's an upgrade of the T-800, but why the same model ?
T-X: Stupid name, why go from a numerical naming to a letter? And it would help if it wasn't a supermodel, but an actual menace looking one. Seriously, they should've gone for a more, well, Linda Hamilton looking woman. Still good looking, but definetly more menacing.
SFX: Subpar. T-2's nuclear scene is still scarier then the nukes in this one.
The toughest part of T3 to watch was when the female Terminator was on top of the vehicle trying to kill them. Instead of making a legitimate sequence where she used her arm properly, transforming it into a gun and blast them, the car, or both, they decided to use pay homage to the T1000 scene. T1000 tactics for the sake of "excitement, nostalgia, and padding". Lazy fuck might as well just used stock footage. Nitpicking? Perhaps. It's still bullshit.
Interesting movie, only because it's the turning point, THE judgment day. But, it is repeating the same script as in the past, a robot sent to kill John... and causing an incoherence (there were supposed to be only two robots sent by Skynet, TX is the third). My main critics is the choice for the role of John Connor. Absolutely not the wild, rebel style he had in Terminator 2. In place of a "delinquant-like" John, we got a nerd... Not convincing at all. Worst casting ever made.
yea but his term will end soon so he will be doing acting again. its what he said..he said when my term of being governor end and if at that time they will turn terminator 5 maybe i be on it..so its pretty much telling us he will be in the T5 ;)
I wasn't exactly blown away by this movie. I hated how the John Connor they portrayed didn't even look like his teenage counterpart from the previous film, and he seemed helpless. Plus they killed off his mom with cancer, which seems pretty pathetic because being the fighter she is I figured she'd die in battle. They kind of ripped off a lot of the good moments from the last two movies, and of course, the movie overall just wasn't very original. The first two have always been my favorites by far
Wow guys. I liked this movie for exactly that reason. They didnt cast some instantly "bad ass" actor who talks like he is winded for the part (i.e. christian bale). The idea of this film was to show that the hero (john connor) was forced to bear his burden, he didn't want it. He wanted a normal life and didnt want to be this savior for man kind but he had no choice and had to suck it up. Im glad I had to break it down for you retards.
Dude, this film is an abomination. One of the reasons why T3 failed is Arnold was getting old to play as the T800. Killing off Sarah Conner was a big mistake, they made John Conner look like a clown.
It would be alot better if the female terminator serve as John new guardian like the TV series. This is what happens when movie exec fuck up with the franchise.

I'm sorry, but who gives a shit about Myles Dyson... I mean really? Also the T-101 didn't die for nothing, he protected John Connor... and because of that terminator John was still standing there breathing. Despite the fact that his act of self-termination was deemed useless, he couldn't just hang around anyways. He would have had to have been destroyed either way.
Matt..... killing Connor would take out humanity's only hope to FIGHT the machines. So yes it would change the future thus why they tried to kill him the past 3 times. Can't believe something as simple and established as that point had just wooshed over your head.

It contradicts itself and the other films...if Judgement Day is "inevitable" then sending Terminator back in time to kill Connor wouldn't change the future and makes the films pointless. The TX is weaker than the T1000 and is only called the "TX" b/c it sounds "cool". Nick made Connor a pussy.
in my opinion, if you are an action sucker than this movie would be great for you. But if you are angling more to the story , then this isn't really the best terminator movie out there. But that's just me.
The first two were great movies and great stories, Salvation was great but could have been made better if it was a PG-13. Terminator 3 was the same, just not as good as Salvation in my opinion.
Okay T3 was not that bad but we'll have to understant T3 was about making T4 anyway.And Arnold did a really good job of the terminator in T3 but some plot lines should been better outline on how to make this story work better.They needed Linda Hamilton for one;she chose not to in in the one at all.Now Nick Stahl not the great choice for this part and to a lot of people too.Clare Danes not really that good.T3 was about the birth of skynet and that all they gave us.And I still like it though.
Dont get me wrong its not as good as T1 or T2 but its a very good follow up in my opinion and lets face it T2 was always going to be a hard act to follow.
I actually liked Terminator 3 and think Terminator Salvation will also be a great film without Cameron behined the helm.I thought the whole kick off of Skynet was great in T3.
T3 gets way to much hate. For a film without Cameron it is way better then it should have been. It expands the story without destroying what was before it. The ending is perfect and the cast is great. The humor is a bit to much, but it doesnt ruin the overall good film.
3 was just trash. I don't even know why people are crying about Arnold not being in T4. Most of his scenes were trash. Arnold didn't save T3, and if T4 is going to be trash without him then it's going to be trash with him as well.
couldn't agree more, T2 really set the benchmark therefor they should have tried to understand why T2 was so good instead of throwing tits and over the top CGI, god it was too much. T2's cgi on the other hand still looks good to this day. Acting was awful too
T3 NOT worthy to be up there w/ its masterpiece predecors(T1 & T2) The classics by Cameron had emmotion which was huge(the love story between Sarah & Reese) primarily what T1 was & T2 followed w/ the father-like relationship between Arnold & John to along w/ a GREAT theme. T3 abolished this & focused more on unnecessary humor. Bad Casting (Stahl as Conner) & a BANKRUPT script! It didn't work. TX not as effective as the T-1000 & C Daines didn't make up for L Hamilton's abscense!
I suppose. But a good director should be able to make you identify which charcters you should like or hate. I thought the distinction was a bit blurred.

Clare Danes was excellent in this and her character reacted to the horror of what was going on around her; she had to keep trying to escape because she couldn't believe what was going on around her - until she saw her fiancee turn into the terminator.
As for the music being the best in the series; clearly you don't understand the merits of an original film score such as the Brad Fiedel score for Terminator.
Ok, obviously you like the film, which is no problem, but your opinion is not absolute. Granted the score in Terminator 1 and 2 does fit the film, an orchestral soundtrack fitted this movie fine. And the score is original, so I don't know what you're getting at there.
I never suggested my opinion was absolute. What I am saying is that of all the elements of T3 to praise, in my opinion, the soundtrack is not one of them. The Marco Beltrami score is heavily influenced by the Brad Fiedel scores but still manages to sound like every other action film score to date. The score for T1 is a classic because until T2 there was nothing else like it, when I say that is is original; I mean unique unlike the score for T3 which will quickly be forgotten.
In fact, I love Nick Stahl as John Connor. He's a fantastic actor who seems to focus too much on indie movies. I'd love to see him in something big before he's 30. That gives him a year.
This movie sucked!!!! I hated how Arnolds terminator character had moments where he talked with emotion. It just struck me as silly. And did I mention that Arnold looked old? Also, the bad terminator being an attractive woman in a tight leather uniform was corky as hell!!! It was hard to watch. At the end of the movie when the machines take over that office building I was laughing my ass off. It look like something from a Theme park Terminator ride. I give it one star only for some decent action
@mkutz007 You're arguments towards the movie sucks aswell. The Terminator mentioned that basic psychology is one of its sub routines so when it's sensing danger it talks as a regular human would do in that situation to make the others aware of the situation, and no shit Arnold looks old, it was 11 god damn years since T2. As for the other T having the form of an attractive woman, basic psychology, it's quite effective distraction considering that most soldiers are men.
By listening to this kid telling about the non original plot I just have to suggest the younger audience to watch them all, in the order they were made. Then you will know how good it is, and please pay attention on the year of the screening of each part.
Yes....which is why 3 was made last and is unoriginal because it's a stale rehash of 1 and 2. However, I think 4 might make up for this, as, viewing them in order, the story might flwo better. And 4 looks fantastic.
I did not like how they portrayed John Connor in this movie. Edward Furlong as a pre-adolescent in T2 had more of an edge and was more believable as a future leader of the human resistance compared to Nick Stahl's portrayal in T3. You'd think John Connor would have a closer resemblance to Kyle Reese from T1 as no b.s. field unit leader instead of some indecisive wus.
He thinks that all is ok and simply suffers trough his experience of such knowledge, until he sees arnold. From then on for a period of time he's in a shock. Although i think that they could do a little better but all in all it's great material.
Yes trilogy. They're planning three movies to be viewed seperately from the original terminator movies. No more Arnie, no more chase scenes in downtown LA...just all out future war. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out.

I don't agree on the music bit. The full orchestration ruins the machinelike feel you get out of the music in especially the 1st film. But then ofc the 1st one remains my favourite...
I agree with you, though i think 1 & 2 are equally just as good in different ways, T2 had a seamless blend of orchestrated scores w/ minimal electronic scores. The whole music score in T2 (in my opinion) is by far superior to any movie at that time. That being said, the music fits the 2 movies well, whereas in the first one, it had a more menacing feel, i mean, 2 humans against a Terminator in primal 80's. The second one being epic and a bit more serious as we discover who John Connor is.

Hurt, It sucked. Threw away the story lines from T1 & T2 personally I think the T:SCC follows the Terminator fell better than T3. John Connor from T3 is a big pussy at least in T:SCC John is developing as a leader as he grows up.

If you also notice ... the fight and chase scenes are a copy of T2. The acting is worse in this one too. They look like actors on a screen reading lines - not real people. Yeah plot does not make sense either...
Not really a nerd (maybe bordering). Don't wear glasses and my skin is as clear as snow (and yes I do know that sounds...odd). And I love how trolls also resort to violence and threats to come roudn their house to face them (like anyone cares enough to do that). Desperate measures. lol np, all feed back is appreciated. I started scripting my reviews recently, so they are definitely more streamlined. And yes, I am aware I am infinitely boring (I personally think so, and wonder why people listen, but hey you can't account for what's popular and what isn't, ie pokemon).
I just use bog standard WMM. I find the images on the web, and import them into the timeline. Then I just record what I want to say (I have a headset with a mic btw) and then just place that in the audio section. It's fairly easy. And thanks for the nice comments!
Claire pisses me off, nick well i could tell he was trying...but not hard enough. I loved the story especially(and i know this is probably where i am going to get alot of hate replys)the ending it could not have been better(i'm counting from when arnie got corrupted...which was awsome)

Totally rubbish review. You got so many facts wrong even though you just watched the film! John Connor is not on the run from TERMINATORS! He's on the run from the law... he's a fugitive, as is his mother. They did blow up a building in the second one. That doesn't get forgotten by the police!
Also, the base is not not called Crystal Peak. that's the bunker at the end. If you can't get your locations right, dont' review a movie. Oh and catch phrases? i picked out 11 things wrong with you review

Because if you have any information wrong, you're not doing the review justice. Might want to think about that. You had so much information wrong that it discounts your entire review.

I'd say they go this order:
1. Terminator 2: Judgement Day
2. The Terminator
3. Terminator Salvation
4, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
The first two were great movies and great stories, Salvation was great but could have been made better if it was a PG-13. Terminator 3 was the same, just not as good as Salvation in my opinion.

T3 gets way to much hate. For a film without Cameron it is way better then it should have been. It expands the story without destroying what was before it. The ending is perfect and the cast is great. The humor is a bit to much, but it doesnt ruin the overall good film.

3 was just trash. I don't even know why people are crying about Arnold not being in T4. Most of his scenes were trash. Arnold didn't save T3, and if T4 is going to be trash without him then it's going to be trash with him as well.

T3 NOT worthy to be up there w/ its masterpiece predecors(T1 & T2) The classics by Cameron had emmotion which was huge(the love story between Sarah & Reese) primarily what T1 was & T2 followed w/ the father-like relationship between Arnold & John to along w/ a GREAT theme. T3 abolished this & focused more on unnecessary humor. Bad Casting (Stahl as Conner) & a BANKRUPT script! It didn't work. TX not as effective as the T-1000 & C Daines didn't make up for L Hamilton's abscense!

I've never heard such a terrible review of a film in my life!
Clare Danes was excellent in this and her character reacted to the horror of what was going on around her; she had to keep trying to escape because she couldn't believe what was going on around her - until she saw her fiancee turn into the terminator.
As for the music being the best in the series; clearly you don't understand the merits of an original film score such as the Brad Fiedel score for Terminator.
Now that's a review!

Ok, obviously you like the film, which is no problem, but your opinion is not absolute. Granted the score in Terminator 1 and 2 does fit the film, an orchestral soundtrack fitted this movie fine. And the score is original, so I don't know what you're getting at there.

I never suggested my opinion was absolute. What I am saying is that of all the elements of T3 to praise, in my opinion, the soundtrack is not one of them. The Marco Beltrami score is heavily influenced by the Brad Fiedel scores but still manages to sound like every other action film score to date. The score for T1 is a classic because until T2 there was nothing else like it, when I say that is is original; I mean unique unlike the score for T3 which will quickly be forgotten.

In fact, I love Nick Stahl as John Connor. He's a fantastic actor who seems to focus too much on indie movies. I'd love to see him in something big before he's 30. That gives him a year.

the good points you made: It felt rushed, They just wanted to get a sequal out. Its just one unimaginative chase.
The bad points you made: The female terminator is quite evil and intimidating, and the movie is not that bad.

This movie sucked!!!! I hated how Arnolds terminator character had moments where he talked with emotion. It just struck me as silly. And did I mention that Arnold looked old? Also, the bad terminator being an attractive woman in a tight leather uniform was corky as hell!!! It was hard to watch. At the end of the movie when the machines take over that office building I was laughing my ass off. It look like something from a Theme park Terminator ride. I give it one star only for some decent action

@mkutz007 You're arguments towards the movie sucks aswell. The Terminator mentioned that basic psychology is one of its sub routines so when it's sensing danger it talks as a regular human would do in that situation to make the others aware of the situation, and no shit Arnold looks old, it was 11 god damn years since T2. As for the other T having the form of an attractive woman, basic psychology, it's quite effective distraction considering that most soldiers are men.

By listening to this kid telling about the non original plot I just have to suggest the younger audience to watch them all, in the order they were made. Then you will know how good it is, and please pay attention on the year of the screening of each part.

Yes....which is why 3 was made last and is unoriginal because it's a stale rehash of 1 and 2. However, I think 4 might make up for this, as, viewing them in order, the story might flwo better. And 4 looks fantastic.

I did not like how they portrayed John Connor in this movie. Edward Furlong as a pre-adolescent in T2 had more of an edge and was more believable as a future leader of the human resistance compared to Nick Stahl's portrayal in T3. You'd think John Connor would have a closer resemblance to Kyle Reese from T1 as no b.s. field unit leader instead of some indecisive wus.

He thinks that all is ok and simply suffers trough his experience of such knowledge, until he sees arnold. From then on for a period of time he's in a shock. Although i think that they could do a little better but all in all it's great material.

Yes trilogy. They're planning three movies to be viewed seperately from the original terminator movies. No more Arnie, no more chase scenes in downtown LA...just all out future war. I'm really interested in seeing how it turns out.

T3 is a good movie. if you think otherwise you really havent seen shit movies yet(watch AVP2)
But yea as a terminator movie it's the worst of the 3. But it's hard to follow 2 amazing movies when you also have a different director.
But I do agree with the music. I love it. Although my fav is the T1 music, you gotta love synthesizers :P

I don't agree on the music bit. The full orchestration ruins the machinelike feel you get out of the music in especially the 1st film. But then ofc the 1st one remains my favourite...

I agree with you, though i think 1 & 2 are equally just as good in different ways, T2 had a seamless blend of orchestrated scores w/ minimal electronic scores. The whole music score in T2 (in my opinion) is by far superior to any movie at that time. That being said, the music fits the 2 movies well, whereas in the first one, it had a more menacing feel, i mean, 2 humans against a Terminator in primal 80's. The second one being epic and a bit more serious as we discover who John Connor is.

agreed. the only thing i did not agree with was the music.

Hurt, It sucked. Threw away the story lines from T1 & T2 personally I think the T:SCC follows the Terminator fell better than T3. John Connor from T3 is a big pussy at least in T:SCC John is developing as a leader as he grows up.

If you also notice ... the fight and chase scenes are a copy of T2. The acting is worse in this one too. They look like actors on a screen reading lines - not real people. Yeah plot does not make sense either...

no offence, but your voice is fuckin boring. I just feel myself losing interest as you drone on like an ABBA cd on repeat. Also the stuttering was irritating as hell, it made me grind my teeth. personally i think that review would of been about 6 minutes shorter if you could speak your words in a timely manner without constant three second pauses. I just use bog standard WMM. I find the images on the web, and import them into the timeline. Then I just record what I want to say (I have a headset with a mic btw) and then just place that in the audio section. It's fairly easy. And thanks for the nice comments!

Totally rubbish review. You got so many facts wrong even though you just watched the film! John Connor is not on the run from TERMINATORS! He's on the run from the law... he's a fugitive, as is his mother. They did blow up a building in the second one. That doesn't get forgotten by the police!
Also, the base is not not called Crystal Peak. that's the bunker at the end. If you can't get your locations right, dont' review a movie. Oh and catch phrases? i picked out 11 things wrong with you review

being a true fan and paying attention to a movie are two totally different things.
I've been a pop culture consultant for a few websites and i've had to write reviews for a living. When critics go to screenings they take notes. Why? Because if you have any information wrong, you're not doing the review justice. Might want to think about that. You had so much information wrong that it discounts your entire review.
