Hey maybe you guys can help me i just bought a new ruger airhawk and for some reason i can't get it sighted properly. I shoot a 3 shot grouping and they are all a few inches apart from each other. i have it set up as stable as possible and the same results.
@naggorski im getting the airhawk for christmas and from what ive heard is its the scope... when i get mine im gonna try the scope that comes with it.... and if it doesnt sight properly im just gonna get a better scope
When sighting in a scope... you alwas shoot a minimum of three rounds and triangulate it. Then make adjustments. you keep doing that until the MOA is where you want it. Use white paint ot whiteout to mark your initial zero. Then move your targets and out and record the data. Yes... even with an air rifle this works and will save you a ton of time. NO cold bore (first shot) is the same. you can't accurately sight in your scope with one shot each. Sure at 30 meters.. maybe, maybe. Thx
when huntuing its always best to hunt with round head pellets never use pointed you may think pointed is beter but its not trust me. i recomend air armes or trophy filed target pellets
