probably going to be a stupid question, but how do you run power to the lantern without it getting caught up in the arm movement?

In the video you can see a slit in the arm itself. The arm I am speaking of is what comes out of the main unit and attatches to the fixture itself. That slit or whatever people call it provides an area to run the power through to the lantern so nothing gets tangled. Does this answer your question? Thanks!
