This version was really just a proof-of-concept that a robot made with some crappy toy motors and plastic-plate wheels would be able to run on grass and climb hills. Next summer hopefully I'll be able to give it smarts to seek out sunshine and stay in my yard.
Great Idea....how about the new InfraRed Panels that are coming out. 80% more effecient than Solar panels and works at NIGHT! digg it. Still on the works btw a capacitor should be enough to store the power.

Are there panels that absorbs solar energy faster so it can store extra energy

you can put a re-charge battery there so the energy saves there.
