All dogs howl at something, it just most huskies have more wolf in them than any other dogs so they howl more frequently. Not all dogs may howl though and if they do it's mostly to communicate or if they feel sad, it could be because they are singing to a song or other noises.

I have a husky that does the exact same thing when he hears the sirens going, but I have to shush him because I have a neighbor that calls the cops on the slightest noise the dogs in the neighborhood make. ): I am lucky to have a husky that is not as noisy as the Pomeranian next door.

That husky looks like it's part wolf. Don't husky tails curl up? We have husky/wolf from a rescue. She's very sweet, likes people, keeps to herself, paces a lot. Howls and Growls. People think she's gorgeous and they take her picture.

Not always, no. My sibe's tail is only curled up about half the time. The rest of the time it's relaxed and down. Looks like a full-breed to me.

aww, i love her howl, I have a siberian husky, except hes part wolf. Which is what I love about him, he sounds just like a wolf. I haven't heard any coyotes at all since after we got him, and when he stands on his back paws he is about as tall as me which is 5'5, and hes still growing. :O lol.

They're more active and need tons more exercise than a normal dog, but other than that they generally make great pets. They're not a dog for people who have no experience with animals though.

And true wolfdogs are quite uncommon. Most people that claim to own a "wolf" or "wolfdog" (hybrid) don't...it's just a "wolfy looking" northern breed mutt. Many of those that actually do have them, they are FAR less wolf than what they think. There are a great deal more "dog-like" wolfdogs than truly, wolfy ones. To see a true high content wolfdog out in public is very uncommon.

It is the offspring of a dog and a wolf, most times the wolf was bred with either a German Sheapard or a Husky. the amount of wolf blood in the hybrid can vary; hybrid bred with another wolf would have an estimation of 75% wolf blood, therefore look more like a wolf. Hybrid bred with dog would be an estimation of 25% wolf blood. and vice-versa, look more like a dog. that answer it for ya??

yea pretty much. I think there are some huskies are that are a mix meaning 1 parent was a wolf, but that is rare. Very rare. Really rare actually. Unless someone owns a wolf and breeds it with a husky(which is done sometimes). Other than that pure breed huskies are no where near wolves.
