hey what headers are you using im having a hell of time finding ones that fit i put a 88 5.0 in a 93 2wd toyota and i cant find a set of headers that fit ca nyou help me out with ideas?
hopeing you can help me a little after a long talk with the guys @ northwest off road (they specialize in v8 toyota kits) i was told that i could not put a v8 in my 98 tacoma i have sum just basic ? for you what type of radiator is used what if anything did you do to the oilpan? motor mount? homemade? thanks again jim
NWOR is a company that charges the price of gold for anything in their catalog, and wants you to believe you can't do any kind of motor swaps without buying their outrageously-priced kits. Check out some websites and forums like trail gear, yotatech, or any good welding shop. with a little ingenuity, you can shoehorn that thing in there pretty nicely.
Just another question, im runnin around 300 hp and im still scared about scattering the rear end. No locker. 235/55/r17s. How many ponies do you think your 5.0 is runnin and what does it do in a quarter mile?
Awesome! just did a 93 toy standard cab with chev 350/ turbo 350 trans and its a blast. Still tinkering with mine and was wondering what mods you did to the front suspension due to the added weight?? lowering components?? any help would be appreciated!!!!!
I highly doubt Your 22-re will do this. Maybe with an open diff and get a on wheel wonder going. I could see it. Because I also happen to own a 'yota With a 22-re. And it has a helluva time doing One wheels. Lets see a vid of your truck.
why not do this ? they put chevy in everything ! nice to see something nice & different ! had a car that run bowtie boys going crazy ; a 73 vega wagon with a 302 & c4 ! ran 14.7 with a 2 barrel ; pure stock !

Rear end is still the stock Toyota that has been welded. It has lasted for 2 years now with lots abuse and launches at the track.
Trans is a C-4.

@BLACKLACDTS Best time on our 1/8 mile track when this video was made was a 9.04. Should be in the 7's now that the turbo and mega-squirt are set up.
