Contreras was cheated by Thailand's dirty tactics of postponing & rescheduling his fight w/ Khaosai. Contreras' weight went up & down during training making him lost his strength & rythm during fight time.That's another method of cheating being practiced by Thailand aside from using white cement in their hometown boy's handwraps.
He fought many top fighters of the day like Israel Contreras, Jiro Watanabe and Eusebio Espinal. He knocked out 15 straight opponents, and it was hard to get people to step in the ring with him. But because he mostly fought in asia, he wasn't well known around the world. Thanks for posting this!! Don't knock him, he was a great champion!
Actually, he never fought Watanabe unfortunately. He did attempt to unify with Ellyas Pical, but the IBF stripped Pical for fighting Galaxy. Honestly, I can't comment on Galaxy. His record is impressive, and he's a right little muscleball, but otherwise, I dunno.

He never even fought Watanabe, are you just trying to blatantly lie? He fought in the golden age of that division or thereabouts, and managed to avoid guys from his own continent like Moon, Watanabe, Konadu, Roman, etc. He fought in his backyard against second rate fighters, aside from a few decent guys like Kim, Pical, Castro, and Contraras. By no means an ATG resume, and not even as good as the guys I named that he didn't fight.

galaxy deliberately avoided Roman, He didn't fight fellow reigning champs. It runs in his blood, that's his country's boxing tradition. Look at Pongsaklek these days. very much like Galaxy. A bum killer.

Contreras was cheated by Thailand's dirty tactics of postponing & rescheduling his fight w/ Khaosai. Contreras' weight went up & down during training making him lost his strength & rythm during fight time.That's another method of cheating being practiced by Thailand aside from using white cement in their hometown boy's handwraps.

He fought many top fighters of the day like Israel Contreras, Jiro Watanabe and Eusebio Espinal. He knocked out 15 straight opponents, and it was hard to get people to step in the ring with him. But because he mostly fought in asia, he wasn't well known around the world. Thanks for posting this!! Don't knock him, he was a great champion!

Actually, he never fought Watanabe unfortunately. He did attempt to unify with Ellyas Pical, but the IBF stripped Pical for fighting Galaxy. Honestly, I can't comment on Galaxy. His record is impressive, and he's a right little muscleball, but otherwise, I dunno.
