I've had this for 2 years and it takes all the stress out of entertaining..amazing! I also love the quick fix cook book, there are so many more possibilities than I would have first thought
@zaia3957 : Yes you can. The bowl comes with a basket. So you pot the whole lemon/ Orange in the bowl, shredd it and put the basket in the bowl. Now you get only the juice - so yummi! The rest you could use to make a fruit spread.
Po półtora roku od zakupu zaczęła szwankować waga. Potem trochę "doszła do siebie" ale teraz zepsuł się cały wyświetlacz :(. A obiecywali "gruszki na wierzbie"...
It costs alot but it's awesome. We're not in a good financial situation but since my mom sells those and sold certain amount of thermomixes in certain time, she got 1 for free. It's just SO freaking awesome!! Most often I use it for morning cocoa which with TM is a plus since milk boils over really easy but with TM i can do sth else. Also, as you can choose the temperature for 70 Celsius for example, the beneficial substances in milk aren't destroyed. (I usually char milk or such things).TM ftw!
If anyone has ever actually used one of these, they will realise it is so much more than a glorified blender... The textures you can get soups to without standing over them checking all the time the ice creams... It saves so much time it's unreal. Have a look at one in action and you'll see they're awesome.
Glorified blender? I own a Thermomix. I think you should watch the video 10 more times and go see one in person. A blender does not cook or texturize like a Thermomix. This machine does everything and saves a lot of time. The food tastes amazing and everyone is a chef with this machine. It's fast and easy which encourages everyone to eat healthier. A lot of respected French chefs in France use this machine at their restaurant. We used it at least twice a day. If you can't afford it well ...
Hehe, it's a bit chunky.. We just got a Lexsun blender and I think it owns the thermomix - sure, it can't cook, and doesnt have 3000 buttons, but the motor is way more powerful and it costs less than half.. Besides, I'm pretty sure MOST houses come with ovens these days?!?
Steel: It's extremely easy to clean. You twist the bottom part and it comes off. You only have to clean the bowl, knife and base plate. Just hot water alone removes everything from the bowl and knife. It's a surgical knife too which is easy to clean.
I paid monthly for 2 years. They now offer 3 year payment plans in Canada. Imagine paying 50$ a month for a machine that can make your own butter, deserts, pastries, bread, fish, etc ....
"we are more and more close to you every day" is NOT ENGLISH !!

@zaia3957 uhmmm... a BLENDER would make a smoothie. A juicer would make a juice. If this thing blends, then it would make smoothies, but not juice.

I don't understand why they don't market thermomix for the U.S. If I want one I have to buy one from France on ebay.

@chefcousin : you can buy the Thermomix in Canada. I live in the USA and bought mine there. :-)
