Whassup, guys, this is KB, Homewood Class of 04. Played the tuba and taught the band how to play this song. The key thing about ESPN is that it takes all the brass to bring the power that makes it so loud. However, in this video, I can hear the trombones over both the trumpets and tubas. I'm sure that y'all had better games, but this one is clearly not Homewood....

Too Correct somethings you are not #1 band in the state it is Muscle Shoals which is the oldest then Charles Henderson in Troy Alabama! You guy's my be bigger than those 2 but let's not take it too personal and get too cocky!!! And whoever made that comment about "White Band" you need to know your terms there is no White Band! It's called Corps Style!! And Besides HBCU universities are not all that jazz either!! Okay Get it together! People!!!! Please
homewood could rape that ass of muscle shoals bud. sorry. i go to Briarwood and trust me ive seen their band, drumline, dancers, and guard and they could easily take on muscle shoals.

That ESPN was awful. Please search for my username and what my band, the Westover High School Mid South Powerhouse and see how it is supposed to sound.
I haven't watched yours but I don't even have to because I know that very few bands can top Homewood on ESPN. You have to consider the camera angle and realize that if it's not positioned right it doesn't always pick up the actual sound that the band is projecting. I was to the side as opposed to being in front of the band. But I still say, after 4 years I've yet to hear another band top Homewood's ESPN.
I looked up your band and although I couldn't find an ESPN performance I did see something I've seen many times before...a band lacking in depth (woodwinds) that relies upon loud horns and slutty dancers...sorry your band is not even in the ballpark...Homewood's woodwinds are often taken for granted but they are big part of why they sound as good as they do...they carry the melody and without woodwinds...a band HAS NO MELODY...JUST FLAT...SORRY
You clearly do not know much about music, to be a corp style band you have to know that, while woodwinds are nice, they are not essential. Have you ever heard of Drum and Bugle Corps? If you have, you know that they do not have any woodwinds at all, so this clearly negates your entire statement.
Please do not hate on our dancers, "Slutty" wow, very interesting, although typical, coming from a white band with zero rhythm. Looks like you all have a hard enough time staying in step marching heel toe, heel toe.

Note this isnt college guys and im not sure about this but Mr. cooper is a MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND TEACHER, WHICH MEANS THESE PEOPLE ARE IN MIDDLE SCHOOL SO SHUT UP
believe me I've seen tons of ugly band uniforms and Homewood's definitely are NOT UGLY. They are classy and expensive! At least we don't wear overalls like the oompah loompahs!
@number8gurl A lot of bands can beat Homewood. Just most that can, are not the big ones, and don't care to put their band on youtube. I'm not in this band I'm about to tell you about, but it's a lot better then any other band I've heard on youtube. Look up Rogers High School, or go to youtube channel TM0115 and listen to them. They're a lot better.
