Lost that one, so I calmed down on the curvy ass road driving/ Headlight switch was faulty, lights went out, road disappeared, I found a ditch, approx 20" deep. Not fun. Didn't want to lose the GN the same way.. Still carry her with me.. I can put $100 bill on dash, if you can grab it until we get to 75 mph, you can have it. Haven't lost cash yet. Got beat once by olds 442, runin 6's.The bastard..

If you see one, make sure it's worth it, now people KNOW what they are, and I lucked out. My salesman didn't My car was immaculate with stk turbo, and already had cold air ind. My friends hated riding it in, but loved being seen enter it.. I kept the boost up, and the tires hot.. Also had a mustang 5.0 302 dual paxtons and positrack 4.11 rears.Sweet exaust & intakes UNSTOPPABLE
@musashi1865 No, the headers, BIG price there, but worth it, really. Also have a Borla exhaust fitted, and some very very nice Borla muffs x 2, those were better than $750 for the pair. I should upload a video next time I take it out, I might. Be next spring though, I think. Yeah, she's my baby. Had her since I was 17. Worked on it for YEARS, and still here and there. A LOT of customs, and fabbed parts. Other than the sound however, it's a sleeper. That gives it away, but I can't part with it.

@KrashKrazyKash to be honest i never liked eclipses, never driven one though. i like the mitsubishi trucks though, i think the 300zx outshined the eclipse in 90' though, that thing looked insane, still looks good today. but the crx from honda has to be one of the greatest cars ever, no other car can match how it feels to drive one
yeah sorry, but.. no way a rx7 would be a GNX.. it's just not possible.. buick.. GNX.. is by far the fastest stock production car made.. out did corvette and all others of its time.. and even most to all present day vehicles.. it was a light car with seriously under rated power.. a stock car off the lot that can snap a rear axle.. that's saying something..
@redneckkin4life Actually it wasn't very light. The thing weighed nearly 4 grand, but the 275 horse had no problem launching it, plus that was actually under rated, it was closer to 300 horse, and even beat the Vette. GM under rated it because the Vette was to be the fastest, but it wasn't. The GNX stomped it, along with every other American car at that time. Very strong, and lots of black, GNX only came in black, and the susp, and motor was different than the other GN's. A very nice ride.
@jeff1fc3s Love the RX7. Is that an old Savannah? I think the RX7 is probably the only car besides a Supra that doesnt get any shit from the racer community as far as "import tuners" go. Keep em flying!

alot of trash talk has been going on here, so let me clear some stuff up for you guys. The Rx7 had 3in exhaust, and was running 14psi, stock intercooler stock turbo. The Buick was a T-type with a berally bigger turbo also on 14psi stock intercooler and upgraded tranny.,, The rx7 was running 8.4 at the 1/8th mile. how do i kno this? its my rx7 and thats my good friends buick. =D
The evo is a quick car but my brother had one and its was in the shop more then he was driving it that's why I think they are pieces of shit but maybe it was just bad luck with that individual car....but I didn't say the gn was the baddest car out there but pretty damn close haha

The rx7 was not heavily modded at all, stock turbo etc... the GN leaned out due to undersized injectors (you can hear it in the video, him saying "fuck it leaned out") pay attention please so i dont have to write back to useless comments

I drove a Buick Park Avenue not long ago (old people car) and it drove great, and the engine was actually pretty respectable. If they would change their marketing techniques and maybe go for more agressive styling they could reboot the whole era. But i cant imagine the current price tags they would strap on. A bit high end.

@bohdanko90 yea...one of the fastest V6 ever made.the motors came from an Indy car..look up the history of the Buick Grand National ...they dyno 300+ WHP and 360 QT all stock with a boost controler. i had an 87 and it didn't loss a lot of races...
@miketeamfirme1 That car's not a V-8 it's a 3.8 turbo with an th-200r4 auto trans if that car had a turbo 350 which is a 3 speed or even a 5 speed manual it would have picked up harder and passed that rx7 because you heard that car shift he had a 5 speed and you can down shift that faster into passing gear then an automatic. Even faster then the manual is the turbo 350 all you have to do is pull back once and the rpm's shoot up and the car takes off plus the GN doesn't break like the rx-7

Then not again until 1990 when Chevy made the Corvette ZR-1 375 hp LT-5...The the Dodge Viper in 1992 with 450hp.

if this grand national is not an 86 or 87 then i would not expect it to win. only in the last two years did it receive some engine modifications which made them dominate every other american car made in the 80s. with the exception of the rare 1989 turbo trans am of course, which actually utilized the same engine.

GNX.. is by far the fastest stock production car made.. out did corvette and all others of its time.. and even most to all present day vehicles.. it was a light car with seriously under rated power.. a stock car off the lot that can snap a rear axle.. that's saying something..

The thing weighed nearly 4 grand, but the 275 horse had no problem launching it, plus that was actually under rated, it was closer to 300 horse, and even beat the Vette. GM under rated it because the Vette was to be the fastest, but it wasn't. The GNX stomped it, along with every other American car at that time. Very strong, and lots of black, GNX only came in black, and the susp, and motor was different than the other GN's. A very nice ride.

alot of trash talk has been going on here, so let me clear some stuff up for you guys. The Rx7 had 3in exhaust, and was running 14psi, stock intercooler stock turbo. The Buick was a T-type with a berally bigger turbo also on 14psi stock intercooler and upgraded tranny.,, The rx7 was running 8.4 at the 1/8th mile. how do i kno this? its my rx7 and thats my good friends buick. =D

As for people saying the TTypes are slower... a ttype is 1986 a turbo T is 1987 both considered TTypes. They are the same as the Grandnationals except for trim interior and paint packages. Both run the same motor, trans, and as long as you opt for the good 8.5 rear. Both run the same boost and make the same power. Trim and paint my friends trim and paint.

the dude filming has the most annoying laugh ever......Now, the only way this t-type lost was 1-didn't drop the shifter to 3rd to get the most boost, 2-kid scared to floor it all the way, 3-bone stock heavy car vs. heavily moded light weight rx7.....I hve an 87 GN very lightly moded (bigger trbo and DP) and I hve beat everything that has dared to challenge me.... mustangs-svt,chargers,camaros,porshe,hondas w/loud exhaust and nothing else for power,eclipse etc,etc list goes on and on.

The rx7 was not heavily modded at all, stock turbo etc... the GN leaned out due to undersized injectors (you can hear it in the video, him saying "fuck it leaned out") pay attention please so i dont have to write back to useless comments

I drove a Buick Park Avenue not long ago (old people car) and it drove great, and the engine was actually pretty respectable. If they would change their marketing techniques and maybe go for more agressive styling they could reboot the whole era. But i cant imagine the current price tags they would strap on. A bit high end.

@miketeamfirme1 That car's not a V-8 it's a 3.8 turbo with an th-200r4 auto trans if that car had a turbo 350 which is a 3 speed or even a 5 speed manual it would have picked up harder and passed that rx7 because you heard that car shift he had a 5 speed and you can down shift that faster into passing gear then an automatic. Even faster then the manual is the turbo 350 all you have to do is pull back once and the rpm's shoot up and the car takes off plus the GN doesn't break like the rx-7

A few quick cars here and there but I believe the GNX was the fastest even the Corvette's weren't as fast. I don't believe there were muscle cars built from the factory since the mid 70's when the gas crisis hit. Then not again until 1990 when Chevy made the Corvette ZR-1 375 hp LT-5...The the Dodge Viper in 1992 with 450hp.

if this grand national is not an 86 or 87 then i would not expect it to win. only in the last two years did it receive some engine modifications which made them dominate every other american car made in the 80s. with the exception of the rare 1989 turbo trans am of course, which actually utilized the same engine.
