I drove through East LA the other day and don't believe some of the comments here. There are some very nice parts of East LA with well maintained homes and yards.

And I know L.A is not the only city with Mexican Americans, but Los Angeles just has something that just appeals to me. I think it's the sky always being clear and the scenery. @RGfromELA My dad was from ELA, poor as hell, went to Roosevelt, graduated from UCLA with a degree in Accounting when they still had that major. Started a business in the Bay Area and filled our house with books. My mom and he read all the time and made that a major part of our life. His happiest times was played baseball and reading at the Library near Stevenson Junior High. I went to college, also got a degree in Acct, became a CPA, and worked until I went back to school to study Physics at
