When I first saw this movie I was all like "yeah right, an ice age in just two days? That would never happen in the real world." But then again, I was enjoying a nice warm weekend talking about how they expect snow "the day after tomorrow" which is quite rare here. Now we're experiencing record lows, and a complete shut down of the metroplex for 3 days, maybe even more because they said it's supposed to snow again. It's too late for everyone North. I can't go to Mexico, so I'll just have to sur

Canada is NOT safe in the movie. THe most safest places were all south. In the movie, the US, Canada, Europe, Russia, China and Japan, all north, were completely under snow because of the storms.

This movie was so dull in the second half.

The first hour was all special effects, but I think Emmerich had listened to the criticism of the characters in previous movies and tried to make the movie more drama rather than special effects, but unfortunately it didn't really work, and the film ended up basically being split down the middle in terms of pace.
