  • ok so i have deffs trained with them before, so familiar. she is kickass too.

  • Bob Sullivan was taught by Kyoshi Tino Ceberano and has not been graded past green belt. He then went off and formed his own club and graded himself just like Bob Jones, another joke of the martial arts world.

I think GKR students need to have a look at some of Tino Ceberanos videos to see how a real master teaches and fights.

  • @nikonboy07 screw you i do GKR and they would take on go jeu kai wakado rai and all others

  • dont forget that although this is gkr saifa, this isnt the perfect saifa, as good as it is. u shouldnt believe that this is all gkr has to offer

  • If anyone on here is judging GKR based on their style of karate maybe they should read Kancho Sullivan's book on how he made GKR karate based on what he learnt for his sensai many years ago.....All karate stems from older versions so some moves and kata are similar and called the same or similar names......Karate stems from as far back as the samurai ages, which is why certain moves are done how they are.

  • it would have looked better if your belts were tied properly...ie evenly...it means that you are not balanced otherwise

  • LAME

  • @patoplush

    wtf?

u want to explain ur rather unnecessarily negative comment?

  • great kata !!!!! nice and fluent

  • brenics77 im in region 8 too In England Huddersfield

  • hmm... I learnt this kata from GKR, but I re-adjusted it after I saw the Goju version because thats the way I prfer to do it, for one, the hammerfist lacks power when done in the pidgeon toe stance, and for two, some of the movements restrict the possibilities for as many applications for bunkai.

  • you adapt the movement for the situation you idiot lol,,nothing is set down as solid stone, the katas are only to show you know what the movement is and can execute it against an invisible oppononent.if you have a look at Bunkai videos they show the foot positioning is different from Kata.and also that the feet are in position for the next movement of the Kata.thus showing the reason for the movement..if you watch bunkai dvds you'll notice they DONT all do the same foot positioning as in Kata

  • I know that you adapt the movements for the situation, i'm saying that the GKR version allows for less adaptation, and thus less applications per movement/technique. So once again, the GKR version of saifa, I just find less effective for application and proper mechanix of technique.

  • nice kata guys :D

  • im GKR 8 years region 8. well done that was VERY good.very strong

  • does anyone kow where I might be able to get a slower version on saifa? My sensei ordered me the dvd but its taking ages :P

  • think there is a prog you can get to slow down the speed of youtube vids on here ,,maybe that would help...also try to get the instructions for each Kata from the GKR website as downloads

  • im really getting sick and tired of all this bullshit my styles better than your style crap, there is no!! one style better than another...grow the fuck up all of youse

  • so id place a safe bet then that youd square up to a gkr blackbelt and beat them pants down lol?

as with any style unless you know how far or how much any student has actually learned you shouldnt judge a book by its cover..just because they wear a yellow belt doesnt mean they havent learned up to brown or black belt status...thinking like that only gets you embarressment as a yellow belt whooped your ass lol

  • ah confutious say man who make flippant comment have head stuck up own arse lol.....when was the last time you actually had to use your style in real terms???.can say that ive a history of wado ryu as well as gkr and have had to use my skill and it Works....by the way i come from scotland so fightings like a way of life lol..again spelling couldve been better ,, maybe you could get a medal for joined up handwriting and counting to ten lol

  • Uhh... Im scottish and I SUCK at fighting! Fighting is not my way of life! And for those wondering WHY I'm on a GKR video when not being a fighter its because a man came round my house looking for people who want to start karati.

  • gkr is a mixture of shotokan and goju-kai

witch makes it all round strong karate!

  • @raspymanic GKR is a mixture of whatever idiots suffer their hard sell brand of mcdojo wannabe karate.

  • @HoldingMyLastRook COULDNT AGREE MORE !!! :)

  • Hmm... and spelling must be a something you need practise with

  • wow wow wow wow wow why are black belt doin saifa.

  • cos they can hee hee

  • I've got to do this in my grading on the 14th June! I'm gonna give it a go in the Birmingham tournament in july as well! Looking forward to my first tourney! Thanks for posting. Mark R27
