I saw Sting perform this on the Mecury Falling tour in Newcastle. He had the whole band in a line with Kenny Kirkland playing a $5 keyboard and Vinnie Coliauta playing just tamborine! However, he managed to get more sound out of that tambourine than many drummers do out of a full kit. Good times.
I first heard this song in 95 or 96 when Sting was on SNL. It has been in my head ever since! This is one of my favorite songs of all times. The chords, Sting's voice and basslines, the lyrics; it's haunting and beautiful.
Can someone help me with the tabs of this song for an acoustic guitar...I've been searching for the tabs so mighty long, i cant find it anywhere so pls if someone whos generous enough to help me with this pls let me know! :)
@drrisch why ta hell do you listen to him than? he has, unlike you, a life. so you suck. i want to say a lot of things but i'm not going to do that çouse i know trhat you are waaaay to dumb to understand it. so i just say:
I've been looking for this song for two weeks. was'nt sure what It was called. so I went through the lyrics to figure it out. and then I was looking through my album book and I thought of the lyrics and tried matching them with the titles. and so I gave this one a shot. and there you have It.
@jeffcowhick sting tries a lot of things. only in 'dream of the blue turtles' you can see lots of differences. and if you compare 'songs from the labirinth' with 'nothing like the sun' well... just lisin to it and you know what i mean
1st few lines...doesn't have to be that way...ya know...lets all snap our fingers ..ready one 2,3
