  • Went to high school in Lincoln Nebraska back in the early sixties. Had some awesome storms back then.

  • lol I remember every storm we had in Omaha

  • Oh god i remember this!!! I live in West maple about 5 mins from village point by the target and petsmart. I was riding my bike and i remember seeing a dark blue almost purple wall of clouds. Then it came closer and 115 miles of wind force hit us. My fence posts filled with cement were wrecked, the power was flickering, and my cat got caught out in the storm and died. God i remember that. scared the shit out of me

  • hahah i was in disney world when this happened i got a thousand of text saying this shit was happening sense june

  • That siren is a T-128.

  • Want great and accurate forecast for Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa? BigredweatherDOTcom

  • this was a horrid storm! I remember it!

  • @karleeluvsmtdew lol true

  • This was a CARAZY storm!! I remember driving h ome from work and i literally had to stop ion the middle of the street because i couldnt see out of the windshield!! It was wild!! I wish i had better footage of the storm the I do!

  • What happen to the two people in yoru video? Did someone fall? Did you go out to help them? Where did you take this video?

  • One of them fell, as you probably could tell. Yes, I went out to help them and we went back into the building. The location was 108th and Farnam Drive in Omaha.

  • yeah i live on the edge of Ralston too by the highschool.......the siren swent off because of the 80+mph straight lines winds not a tornado..as jim flowers said on tv during the thunderstorm lol

  • every year since 2004 i come to hang out in omaha from se sd and this is usually the weather that greets me.

  • This was our wedding day. We were doing Outdoor photos at Gerald Ford gardens when the sirens went off. It looked perfectly fine out. We then drove to our reception. By the time we were walking in the door for the reception, this storm was racing toward us. As soon as we got inside it started slamming us and we lost power. The rain and wind was crazy. The damage was intense in Midtown where we were.

  • this was nothing compared to a place called woodcliff its right by fremont ne and i was there it is a lake and almost all cabins had damage and there were at least 1000 trees destroyed on one lake

  • Wow. Those Cumulus Nimbus clouds looks fired up.

  • The aftermath of this storm was crazy, even though it was not a tornado, it was more widespread and probably did more damage than a tornado would over a wide area. If all you think this was is rain and wind, you're wrong. Unless the weather stations were wrong when then said that the winds got up to 90 mph, this wasent just a wind, it was a very strong wind.

  • Wow. Rain and wind.

  • see there, dude ?....that's the reason i stay high....

  • Obviously you weren't there, it's really hard to show wind on camera, these winds reached to 100 mph which is the same windspeed that hurricanes hit, the only way I can describe it was a "Midland Hurricane"

  • I live on the very edge of Ralston and we got a ton of rain and 60 mph winds! They put the sirens off not for a tornado but for a super bad thunder storm! Elkhorn go 90 mph winds and hail. The Arts fair was that day and someone got 30K worth of damage and no insurance.

  • I was in Ashland... barely felt a drop. I've got a place on 93rd and Dodge, hit hard, but got out lucky. fooled The Big Man upstairs.
