  • Thank you :)

  • :D

    I'll be using this.

Also: consider using another layer at the middle of the difuser cone to difuse the light even more.

  • nice ! zero budget softbox )

  • What is the silver fixture you are using with this light?

  • what do u mean by the silver fixture??

the light already came with the clamp on it.

  • its a clamp light you can buy em in electrical, lighting, or hardware stores there fairly cheap

  • @moekanz hey if you live in the UK where can you find one?

  • Hi I think this is great but I was just wondering if you could tell me what type of material you used to put over the end of the box to defuse the light? Thanks

  • Thanks. I just used a piece of tracing paper.

  • Ok thanks a lot :-)

  • A little late response - You could use some wax paper (for cooking) and you would achieve the same result. Odds are you have some wax paper in your house already. FREE!

  • Question.

What type of box did you use?

I created on of these and I made it with several lose pieces and then put them all together to look like yours.

But I see that your pieces are all connected.

So what type of box did you use?

    Thank you so much!

  • Well i cant remeber wot box i used ,but it was made from basically one piece, so when i could just fold the sides up and then taped them. i also put another square bit of card with a hole in and stuck that inside so it was stronger and thinker.

    Thanks for the comments.

  • No...Thank !YOU! for the video.

  • Awesome!

I'm going to purchase about three of the work lamps you had in your video and actually use your technique. This is by far the best DIY softbox I've seen.

    Thanks a million!

  • what if I am taking pictures of posters with a glossy lamination on them. How do I get rid of that reflective shine?

  • you could try a polarizing filter, might get rid of some of the reflections.

  • i made one of these with pie trays (verry flimsy yours is much better)

  • looks great

  • whats the fabric for softbox?

  • Hi that looks great I'm working on one my self I'm going to use a windshild sunshade

and a small 75watt shop light making your own light is real fun.

    keep up the good work

    GOD Bless

  • Thanks for your help! I am short money and making my own softbox will help!

  • Looks awesome! Do you have the plans? Can you give some details on how it was made? What kind of light is that? Nice work.
