  • What you guys think about the Marcy pro compact trainer?

  • @Trajiq187 To be honest I have not seen one mate. But Marcy stuff has not impressed me in the past.

  • How tall is Ivan?

  • @Paripovich He is about 5'10"

  • too big, disgusting...

  • @ry4nx Sorry Ivan's not your type - good luck finding the right man.

  • amazing bit of kit, even for professional bodybuilders.

  • I Love his Hamhocks (hamstrings)!

  • @EatinCactus They definitely have a bit of meat on them!

  • ok thanks, can wait to get one

  • doin the same exercise over an over on this machine, can u hit plateau

  • @jeraldo2009

You will hit plateaus with any type of weight training. All you need to do is take a week off and change things up a bit.

The beauty of this machine is that there is loads of variety so you can keep progressing.

Check out our website for variations.

    Thanks, Sam.

  • am start saving now, ga a order one on ebay, an ship it here, am not livin in the states,

  • very expensive, ga a save money for it

  • @jeraldo2009

Once you get one and start training on it you will think it is well worth the money. There is so much you can do on these machines.

It will work out cheaper in the long run. You will save not on gym fees but the cost in getting to and from the gym.

  • can this multi machine by powertec can help build muscles

  • @jeraldo2009

Yes. But you have to train hard, eat well and get enough sleep.

  • don't forget that the physic's laws of leverage make the weight lighter; i've calculate that for the push leverage the rate is 2/3 of the load: 300 lbs consist on 200 lbs...

  • @jiavalon

Yes I know. I was trying to show how strong the Powertec gym was.

  • @SamsFitnessComAu

yeah, my friend... i know it's great: i have one of the 2009 series, not the ultimate with detachable bench... what's the real difference on feeling exercises with standing alone machine for the squat or dead left for example? is it stable? and so... what do you thing about accessories like pectoral fly or scott bench?

    greetings...

  • @jiavalon

I actually prefer the old style with the attached bench. I trained with that style for so many years that I just got used to it.

I still do squats facing away machine on the 2010 version so there is no difference there.

    I haven't tried the deadlift.

The pec fly is great, my chest is still sore from the session this week.

The leg press is good for supersets but not going heavy.

Will hopefully have some more vids up soon.'

    Thanks, Sam.

  • @SamsFitnessComAu Hi Sam, I was wondering, has helped you increase your bench press on the flat free weight press?

  • @DimmuBorgir007 has this*

  • @DimmuBorgir007

    Hi

Yes the leverage bench press will increase your barbell bench press. However what you lift on the leverage bench press will not equate to watch lift on a barbell bench press.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers Sam.

  • @SamsFitnessComAu Thank you. I ordered this same version last night and included the pec fly accessory with it. I have another question if you don't mind, from you personal experience, how much weight can you max out or do for the same number of reps on this leverage bench in relation to the barbell bench press. (For example leverage 350lb vs barbell 300lb) This is very important to me, I want to get a rough idea of what it translates to. Thanks again.

  • @DimmuBorgir007 your*

  • @DimmuBorgir007 You can't directly relate it as they are completely different exercises. You will get far better results from this machine if you forget about trying to break lifting records. Concentrate on form and isolating your pecs.

Unless you are a power lifter you are bench pressing to build your chest. So it makes sense to use your chest to lift the weight.

If you are trying to lift max weight you will use triceps, shoulders etc

  • How many years has Ivan been training?

    Didn't he win something recently?

  • @peterltnpwr

Hi, not sure exactly how long Ivan has been training but it has been many years.

He finished 5th in the 2009 Australian IFBB pro grand prix. He didn't do as well in the 2010 show but is going to bounce back bigger and better.

  • That's awesome, but what kind of steroids do I have to do and in what quantity?

Thank you for any info you may be able to provide.

  • @bosszeroboss

If you need to ask that question I don't think you should head down that path.

Just keep training hard and eat healthy.

  • Hi

You will need Olympic weight plates for the Powertec machines.

    Sam.

  • can you use normal weights on powertec benches or do you use olympic weights????
