Historically in London many poor ethnic cultures have managed to work their way out of poverty through hard work and community. The impoverished Jewish community which once populated Brick Lane has now worked itself into affluent areas of north London, the Chinese community, once in Limehouse now has a Chinatown in central London. Indian, Sikh and Pakistani communities speak for themselves.

None of them ever felt the need to burn down their own neighbourhoods due to the racism they endured.

I'm unemployed and pissed off because I can't get a job for 3 months, even shitty work like walmart or mcdonalds, I never had a job before the recession and now I'm out of high school, that doesn't make me want to burn down buildings, hurt the cops and loot local business', that makes me want to turn the recession around, and make real changes in the world, but its not comin for a while because Obama is just as bad as any republican.

Listened to this twat talking on the TV in sydney last night , making excuses for criminals . This has nothing to do with poverty . They may think they are poor because they live in a rich city but they have food, housing , health care, ect. The police get the blame if the streets arnt safe and attacked if they try to deal with criminals.
