Paul Anthony and ZXX made a 2011 hard house remix of some DJ Trajic songs, in particular Headbangers, they have that "modern" sound and quality to them but with the same hooks, synths and beats as old hard house! I think it does the old tracks justice.

Jumpstyle is basically a form of hard style, but jumpstyle is more the form of dancing that people did to the music. The dancing didn't influence the music, the music influenced the dancing.

And nothing in the mix even comes close to resembling gabber. Gabber has super fast beats well above 120 bpm. This is more like 80/90 bpm.

As the listing says, this is "classic hardhouse".

It's very possible for UK and LA/Chicago to come up with the words "hard house" to describe something, even if the origins are different. It's probably why Jumpstyle producer Chicago Zone got his name from, it pays homage to this style which originated in Chicago.

@ClassiccHouse I know that Bobby D, a Chicago DJ mixed a lot of old hard house and gradually started mixing in more jumpstyle later, like Da Boy Tommy and Teknowarriors. Style wise it made sense, Chicago hard house was at a faster bpm when the 90's ended.
