  • there are no such thing like repeating 2 times in the sheet notes..

  • @Manumeris her own interpretation of the song maybe? i don't know for sure cos i've not seen the music sheet, but there are many people who change some parts in songs to their own preference. and i like her style :D

  • omg, why is she repeating everything 2 times..

  • Correction : " She could be just as wonderful , AND historically accurate without using pedal " . I made the same mistake when playing this pass at age 11.

  • @luigiperso : I was certainly not bashing. I think she is very good, as I said. I am a pianist /harpsichordist. I specialize in Performance Practice. My opinion is that it it is not historically correct to use pedal in the piece. She could be just as wonderful with it. How did you miss the part where I said " very, very good" ? Let's focus on the positive . We , as musicians, can all learn from one another.

  • Very , very good, but please no pedal for Baroque music ( or at least just a tiny bit ! ) .

  • @juboris36 , hush.

  • all the idiots who bash on performers like that should shut their stupid face and upload some of THEIR playing.

  • Wow this girl is amazing!! I love this Handel's piece.

  • You're daughter is so talented, you must be so proud =) I definitely am, you did amazing job sweety

  • !!!!!i'm 10 years old and can play it to

  • This is amazing! I'm lucky to have the sheet music =D

  • @BlueBananah

can you do even better than she can

  • Just added it to my favorites... Listening to this piece on harpsichord for a long time, now I'm impressed by the piano version, and this performance... Just Wonderful!... esp. for her age! :-)

  • haha i heard messing up at 3:01

  • Very good performance.

  • WOAW la classe ^^

  • Fantastiche!!!!!

  • ughh, i wish i didn't quit piano..

  • you got an amazing daughter

    feel proud my brother

  • exactly how old she?? Bit fast and robotic but still really amazing. ^__^

  • I think it´s a little bit too fast. But this is only my personal emotion. Her technic is very good.

    Gratulation

  • this is soo beautiful!! Your daughter is very talented!

  • absolutely no feeling or emotion at all. This is my favorite piece and I learned quite some time ago and its sad to see it played in such a robotic like way. emotions please. the technique will not matter at all if there is no feeling behind it.

  • @oblaytitstasha She's a little girl for christ sakes! Where the hell do you idiots get off in bagging her? I too am a pianist, and I too love this piece, but you don't hear me being so bloody negative. She did a fantastic job in performing for those people, and no doubt she would've been extremely nervous. Why don't you post a vid of you performing this piece and show us how its done.......if you can even play it at all. Dickhead.

  • @juddabar82 ugh she did quite well, i didn't say she didn't.I said there was a lack of emotion.Learn to read idiot. Also considering i've been playing 12 years, I do know how to play. I don't need to put up a video to prove to you that i not only play, but play better than a little girl okay? It's called constructive criticism something any musician has to deal with. I didn't say she has no talent and should quit. And if you're so great why don't you put up some fuckin videos, cuz I didn't see any.

  • @oblaytitstasha Its not constructive criticism at all, its a sad, pathetic attempt to make yourself sound superior. I laughed when you stated that you have been playing for 12 years, considering this young girls is probably that exact age. As for myself posting video's.....is this so you can comment how crap I am to boost your own ego?

Also, I suggest you sort your typing and grammer out before you even think about calling me an idiot. Have a nice day arsehole :)

  • @juddabar82 You are so stupid.I don't even know why I am wasting my time replying to you yet again, however I am not trying to make myself sound superior.Let me take a guess. You probably had an American pushover as your music teacher. If you had a tough European teacher like I did you would understand that what I said was constructive criticism and not an insult.

  • @juddabar82 I don't need to boost my ego. I already know I am good at playing.I don't need your opinion on my playing considering probably the only thing you can play is the very beginning of Fur Elise. So before you talk shit about my playing, why don't you prove you can even play. You are simply pathetic, it's so cute that you went and picked on my grammar. It seems you are at a loss of insults... Loser...

  • @oblaytitstasha - Again I laugh at your childish remarks. Getting back to the whole point of my communication......I'm actually a New Zealander not American, and I teach classical piano at the NZ school of music, so I know constructive critisism and negativity when I hear it. You may think I'm pathetic "oblaytitstasha", but my students and salary tell me otherwise. Good luck with life, you sound like you need it.

  • @juddabar82 I'm pretty sure I don't any luck. I grow weary of this silly argument.

  • Very,very nice...

  • She is amazing! Such facility of the piano is really impressive!

  • I'm playing this one right now... Its really hard to get sound the beautiful way you play it. Keep up the good work! Greetings from Denmark :)

  • You must be very proud of your daughter.

    Sounds really beautiful. <3

  • Very fast, but VERY impressive. :D

  • I'm not a music teacher at the Conservatorium of BLAH, BLAH,

I'm a guy from Western Sydney and it sounded pretty F%*&$Rng

    good to ME !

    Bravo !

  • Oh pls people..shut up with this emotion thingy. Remind me of the Emperor of Austria saying to mozart "too many notes"...u are simply incredibly silly saying such a nonsense. Yeah she's going speedlight and yeah..emotion is there. Should emotion only be related with slowness? Girl..u sincerly rock! It's one of the most amazing performance of Passacaglia ever heard. It's incredible the perfect timing u got in the final part of the piece..congrats from Italy!

  • How much time did she spend to learn this song?

    :)

  • Very well played. Personally I prefer this piece on the Harpsichord.

  • She's very good. I think you'll find the "asian" comments are probably turning up because there are simply SO MANY people of asian descent on youtube who are absolutely incredible musicians. They put everyone else to shame. Your daughter is no exception, I must say. It's true. If you go and look for the youtube videos of people playing electronic organs, for example, they are nearly all asian teenage girls.

  • I must tell that I like this interpretation more than "pff-pros" ones. THIS one has more heart and skill in it, than many, many other. As I do not like Händel, I just liked this.

I would be happy to see her playing some baroque pieces as well as Rachmaninov's ones. Or rather, I would be happy to see new uploads with her as performer. I. probably as rest of watching people, am interested how she is developing.

  • I played this one. But I didn't have an idea the beginning was supposed to sound like this (of course, you are right here :) ). The rest I recognize :)

  • Your daughter is the best.

  • I think your daughter plays beautifully, very elegantly.

  • This composition is my next "goal" so I wanted to hear some versions of it. So far this was one the best I have heard.

  • @SapporoBrian Is she your daughter? She is a very good pianist for her age, I think she will be a big shot in the future ^_^.

  • can you give me a copy of the sheet music? or tell me where she learned the song from? thanks :D

  • bravo!!! youre daughter very talent!!!!

  • Mh... Decisamente Stile Troppo accademico...poi è troppo a "tempo" quando suoni devi provare ad ascoltarti... comunque brava

  • Technics remarkable, in my opinion remarkable execution

  • could have inject more emotions in this piece of emotional music with much improved phrasing properties; and with better grove and style. lacks feelings almost completely.

  • Wonderful performance. I'm disappointed that the audience didn't show more appreciation. I would have expected shouts of "Bravissimo!" and "Encore!"

  • I LIKE THIS!

  • Perfect hands :)

  • i just finished performing this song last night! to those of you who think she plays it too fast, this original piece was from a harpsichord, and the tempo she is playing it at is perfect in my opinion. i love this song so much <3 thank you for sharing with us, you are a very talented lady!

  • I think it's delightful. Nice use of pedal without crowding the tempo. Well done. An inspiration for my own playing.

  • on my sheet says : ALLEGRO MA NON TROPPO slow down the tempo just a bit, it's not all about the technique, it's about FEELING! :) also there's nuances, some parts you play forte, some piano, and the melody switches from right hand to left hand

  • Interesting how it sounds on piano... in the viola and violin arrangement, I've played both parts and it sounds better as a string duo (I believe that is the reason why people here are saying it doesn't sound emotional enough). Personally, I think your daughter played it wonderfully but the piano doesn't allow for certain expression (you can't do vibrato or slide into notes or change the way the keys sound unlike string instruments). Piano is hard - good job and keep it up! I play piano too!

  • i can play passacaglia and i 10 yers old

  • i 10 yers old and i can play passaglia in my piano

  • great!

  • I know how to play this :D it took about 6 months to learn but it was worth it.

  • absolutely beautiful!!

  • beautiful!

  • beautiful!

  • beautiful!

  • toooooo fast. end of.

  • your daughter has a passion for music truly. i was wondering where you had gotten the music (online or from a book)

  • Why do people keep saying this is too fast??? DruggedChicken, you play this piece too and so do i so maybe you should notice the tempo is 120 beats per minute which is where shes playing it at. This is exactly how fast this piece was meant to be

  • i also play this piece and i really must say WOW!!

altough its a bit too fast , but i think thats better than too slow.I especially liked the left hand in Var.6....

  • Brian ur daughter has a lot of talent! I have to say: playing händel passacaglia is quite an achievement. I heard no single mistake and it was even played by memory. She has got the theory part sussed but now she needs to understand the piece itself and the emotions coming with it, for example she needs to watch out for dynamics! But for her age i am very impressed! Well done!

  • played very well and nice... if it would b little slower would b perfect... still A+

  • She maybe was just a little nervous. and that's why she played so fast.

  • wonderfull rythm.

  • Why is everyone so concerned with emotion in this piece? This is Baroque music here, not Romantic.

  • @FabMatt Take a good listen to the Sarabande from Bach's E minor Partita and then see if you still think that.

  • In my searches, this is markedly the finest of all other Passacaille videos on YouTube. Absolutely no mistakes - the only mistake one might draw is subjective (emotion). All musical scholars have hitherto maintained that emotion in piano is about as welcome as emotion in an office building - it befuddles concentration. But playing at home - fine.

  • she is really good! i really liked how she played!

  • sounds amazing!

  • Ogni volta che ascolto questo pezzo mi da emozioni fortissime! =D

  • Excellent without a doubt...

  • ummm yes she doesn't play with the top of her finger,if you understand what i mean...

  • again, at 1.30 i think,i mean look at her fingers! too...umm i dont know the right word to say...not good?

  • I have never commented on my own page before, but this comment made me feel the need to respond. Why is the "Asian" Comment necessary? People are people no matter where on this planet they live. Also, no matter where on Earth you live, there are going to be those who "Get" "European" music and those who do not. It is a matter of personal taste. The fact that you need a different version is fine, but why do you need to make disparaging comments to her and about her on such a public forum?

  • Cheers.

I do not mean to jump on you. Living in a foreign culture with a bi-cultural family makes one a bit sensitive in this regard. Our daughter is not pursuing a piano career and plays simply for enjoyment and to learn about music. Thanks again for your response.

The best of luck with your musical career!

  • your daughter played amazing and twas good. dont scratch your head on that stupid ass who commented on your daughters performance saying about east asians dosnt give the smell of europeans. im from london and im an european ;im telling you and the useless musicians who knows only to comment and critizize "music is for the art of hearts and talents not for the races like europeans ;asians and africans ,its an art anyone can play but opt it as life and blood before u choose.

  • @DruggedChicken You are wrong. what you said was more like "jewish people like money" or "black people are not very smart" dont try to make yourself look less racist and stupid than you are.

  • @DruggedChicken , who do you think you are, little idiot...grow up

  • @DruggedChicken Are you trying to compare Asians' relationship to European music to the color of people's hair? Are you saying that, like hair, Asian inability to play Handel is genetic? How nazi can you get?

  • i knew not this performer name but sir your daughter played amazing and i loved the way she interpretated....... my whole hearted claps for this kid........

  • @SapporoBrian no, the asians especially the chinese prctice till death

  • @SapporoBrian You sure must be really proud of her ! I hope that she's still practicing nowadays ! Keep going, you're doing a great job ! Make the music live !

  • @DruggedChicken I think she plays it perfectly, actually. It is originally a harpsichord piece, where dynamics are extremely limited, and she captures this well. and age doesn't matter, its skill level.

  • @DruggedChicken you ignorant nut

  • @DruggedChicken To be honest, I personally think that 'East-Asian Pianists' play European music better than Europeans.

  • @DruggedChicken if you're such a pro show me how YOU play, i will upload a short video of me playing piano it seems you live somewhere in Prague or something but i noticed something that the czech rep. is a racist country, i am korean, everyone thinks that i am such a dirty thing, you know i think that you're not the one to say whether she is young, you seem more dwarfy than her so watch her from the low!! she is climbing but you will never get a better position than u r now

  • @DruggedChicken I guess Lang Lang is a really horrible musician then?

How wold that work btw? Why couldn't a Korean play a piece by Edvard Grieg as good as a Portuguese, or even actual Norwegian? Is there something culturally specific about Norwegian grandeur that Koreans with their different grandeur can't grasp but Portuguese could? Then what is this specificum? Can you learn to understand foreign music, or will an English-grown person be forever condemned to mess up Brazilian guitar music?

  • @Gonnakillyou i didnt say all of east asian pianist are not good

no i know lang lang is a great pianist i just said most of them are not so good at playing european pieces but of course there are exceptions

didnt meant to say anything wrong

  • @DruggedChicken mhm... Im a piano teacher in music conservatoryin Finland , and think im a pro maybe. And i have teached this piece for my students. Tempo of this piece is 106-120, so its moderato, and i listened this and the tempo was just right. About emotion this really was played emotionally. this girl controlled the dynamic and voice very well, and pedal was going in right times. So i think this was very beautifully and voiced piece. That girl is a really good player.

  • @DruggedChicken , who do you think you are, little idiot...grow up, you have a lot to learn

  • @DruggedChicken Isn't this the correct way to play the piece though? I'm not very experienced with piano, but Handel is a baroque composer, and according to the baroque era, the piece should be played very technically. I think it's intended to showcase the facility and fluidity of the player. Additionally, because it was written originally for harpsichord, only two dynamic levels are possible- soft or strong. I think she does an excellent job playing this Baroque Handel harpsichord piece.

  • @amits03 well not, believe me, i played this piece and brought it to always perfection, so this SHOULD be an emotional piece, the richness of harmonies should be visible. Baroque was period of "transition" between reneissance chorals (harmony is more important than the melody in chorals) and classicals sonatas. so you should both give out the harmonics AND melodics. together it forms a beautiful emotional piece.

    good luck with piano :D

  • @DruggedChicken Just...... Shut the fuck up -,-

  • j'aime bcp

  • it is not too fast, you don't know what the heel you are saying...it is at a normal tempo for this type of piece..speed is relative with Bach and Handel...lovely performance!!! bravo

  • too fast!!

  • i dont the performance

  • yeah this is fast,i couldnt get the emotion

  • @xsknight - post a vid and show us how its done then, instead of criticizing a little girl. I can't believe some of the idiotic comments on here! We should be praising this girls talent instead of being so negative. I bet half of you can't even play the piano. Wankers.

  • yep, enjoyed this :)

  • It doesn't sound properly. The harpsichord is much better for Händel

  • love of. =)

  • your daughter is a princess of piano

children good "musicians" to become a great musician

  • Your daughter has talent, just one point I'd like to make... her phrasing needs a little work... memorization and then you need to let the emotion of the piece speak to you. She is gifted and I mean no offense. Just a little suggestion.

  • this song is very elegant and by rushing you killed it alittle but otherwise it was beautiful

  • Too fast!!! Slow down..!! ):

  • The tempo is not exactly to my liking, but definitely well played, and an interesting approach!

  • Very too fast but its incredible^^

    Enjoy!!!

  • excellent performance!!

  • B-E-A-UTIFUL!! Super Talented child...

    Love it! Fav. and 5 / 5!!

  • Played beautifully...hence she is just a young girl.

  • She's good:)

  • Really talented and mature for her age. Bravo.

  • Wonderful!

  • hm i liked it fast, maybe its just me though :D

  • this piece is a feeling piece,it would have been better it she'd played slowly.

  • your daughter is very talented

  • Very gooooooooooood!!!

  • It exceeds the speed limit.... toooo fast!

  • I'm playin this right now....... :)

  • By far, the best keyboard performance of H's Passacaglia on Youtube. Brava!

  • wow

  • I watched this video because I needed help with the triplets..>.>

  • O MY LORD!!! i think it sounds better fast like that. when i did it, it was slower. im gonna try it like that

  • when i played this song i didnt repeat everything!

i remember that in the sheet it only said that you had to repeat the first part....not the others.....

and its not fast!! its ok!

  • The Beginning is to fast !!

    The rest is very good

  • うまいな~

  • is not to fast at all....she sings great this part....have u ever seen the sheet???lol

  • I can do that!.

but I just need the music sheet for this

  • The original of this song was written for harpsichord. I feel like the tempo and interpretations are quite good, though I do like how some parts are sweeter with strings.

  • To fast !

  • Nicely played! Thank you.

  • majestuoso!

    Bravo!

    Superb!

  • I play it a bit slower. Some parts are not very clear to me. It is written for the violons initially. So, it is not meant to be so rushed.

  • Well this is what i do, like i'm performing and my blood is kinda rushing (cuz im nervous) and i tend to play it faster than it is

  • No, its not written for violins. This passacaille (or chaconne) is from G.F. Handel's 7th keyboard suite and was originally composed for the harpsicord around the year 1720. IF it were played with minimal embellishments, then it may have very well been played at this tempo. It most likely would have been played a tad slower, but with many more embellishments; but, that would be a harpsicord. As for the piano, this is the best version I've heard on YouTube and I enjoy it at this tempo.

  • wow, that must of taken such a long time to practice and perfect..but you know what...its well worth it =P

  • Better off using limewire or frostwire to download this song if you can

Ohter wise this piece is played amazingly

  • It was very good, but it really seemed a bit too rushed for me.. The variations weren't clear enough for me..

I just finished playing this piece.

  • want peoples advic should i add this song to my ipod or not its good but i want to hav enough money for other songs so what do you guys out there think i should do please respond quick

  • Nice, i like it.

OF course, i think she could play it slower(largely THEME).

  • HI. I play Passacaglia too. I love it. On your playing you played repeats that was not in the song but i just loved your playing. You inspired me to practice more and more.I love your playing. THanks

  • can you pleaseEEEE send me the sheets?

  • Absolutely amazing. There a couple of repeats where they don't exist in the sheet music, but its played so well those repeats are a welcomed surprise.

  • wherre can i get this music?

  • So far the best interpretation of Passacallia on youtube - keep going!!! :)

  • at the fourth part, your daughter does a wrong trillium. Otherwise it's excellent

  • Where did you get the music from??

  • Oh my god... very good!! complimenti!!^^

  • very good!
