@getfitwithschmidt Hey Thommy, well I prepare most of the food on Sunday, which takes about 1.5 hours. Then each morning, about 5 minutes to get it all together. I find that when I spend time prepping on sunday, it makes the week pretty easy. Every once in while, I may have to do some extra prep on Wednesday night if I run out of something.
Also, everyone needs to realize extra protein does virtually NOTHING to build muscle and actually can cause serious issues. Search WebMD for this phrase...
Will Eating More Protein Help Your Body Gain Muscle Faster?
Check out Dr. Doug Graham and John Hinds (monkeybar gym) for examples of powerfully fit strong people eating nothing but whole fruits and vegetables and NO PROCESSED supplements.
@mikecazzx Understand your point. To each their own. If that is how you see results by eating that way, then that is great. My hat is off to you. I do things my way and not everyone agrees with the way I do it. Is nutrition your career field? I am just curious.
@sbfw1425 A career, no. I read as many books as I can and I look for similarities in advice between them. To start your reading just google search about whey protein and poor processing making it carcinogenic. Also anything based in casein protein (milk) is cancer promoting, see The China Study. See Dr. Mercolas website for a good article about cheaply produced whey products being horrible for you. Check Jack Lalanes history, lean meats, whole fruits and vegetables raw or steamed lightly.
P90x is a great. The trend of people getting in shape is great. The problem seems to be diet myths. #1. it takes very very little EXTRA protein to rebuild the muscle your damaging by working out. The extra protein goes to fat like anything else does. #2. No one seems to be eating healthy large amounts of whole raw fruit and raw vegetables. Both are loaded with fiber, water, minerals, vitamins and amino acids. America, the answer is NOT processed whey powders! It's raw whole foods.
