  • is blender free

  • @terminator7565 yes! Just go to the website in this videos description. :)

  • This doesn't seem to apply to 2.5? =/

  • @helloeverybody41 Most of the things should work the same, annoyingly though they changed some buttons. I can make a 2.5 version if you like?

  • @richardsimpotuts Please make a 2.5 version. I'm in desperate need to learn how to use this. Please and thank you if you do.

  • @AceS4289 Hi, I'll try and get one made for you this weekend. I will definately have it done by Monday. :)

  • @richardsimpotuts Thank you! :D

  • impressive fogtALK 99%

  • I still cant scale the way he did at 4.33. It always scales the complete cube, not just one side of it

  • @alaricofarabia right click the shape and press sz for height, sy for length, and sx for width.

  • @arcanists2000 Thanks for clearing that up :D

  • @alaricofarabia as Acarnists says, you first press S to scale, then either X, Y or Z to scale along that axis. :)

  • @alaricofarabia

That's the problem with most of these tuts, they skip over most the stuff they already know, forgetting that

    you don't!

  • I have NO idea what version this guy's using but it's not mine. I'm using 2.58.1

  • @joshanator1 This was a 2.4x version. I am trying to make this tutorial in a 2.5x version, but my recording software keeps crashing while rendering it :S I'll keep trying though!

  • I don't get it... I hold alt and hold middle mouse button but nothing happens? please help me?

  • @arcanepow In the newer versions u just hold down the middle mouse button (Scroll)

  • How do you make the objects have physics? and not just float in the air?

  • U are good! Thanks a lot, very clear and easy. Show me more!!! Grts

  • can it save as a .x file??

  • I dont want to make little balls and color them. Teach me how to draw things on 3D models

  • thank you

  • God, do you people know accents? Canadian? British? He sounds more Irish/Scottish than anything.

  • Awesome tutorial. Very helpful. Got me over bumps that the books never managed to cover.

  • i hate canadian voice... freaks me out

GOD DAMMIT I ALLMOST KILLED MYSELF BEACUASE OF YOUR VOICE DUDE

    GAY

  • Btw what would totally make your guides 100% best is, if you could add Keyboard frame in corner of video to show what keys you press.

  • @member186 Thanks for the tip, I will do that :)

  • What key\\\ you use at 4:33 to scale that cube*?

  • @member186 He clicked (s) and drag out to make it bigger drag in to make it smaller :)

  • Excellent job, Mister Potter.

  • @gingrichda Huh?

  • @richardsimpotuts :/

Gingrichda just thought that your British accent sounded like Harry Potter's, is all.

That's not a bad thing, of course. I love it.

...It is British, right? ^_^' *lolfail*

  • @richardsimpotuts he thinks you sound like harry potter would be my gues

  • @nieck9 Ah lol xD

  • Great Tutorial! I was wondering what us laptop users can do about not having a scroll button on our mouse (since we don't have a mouse). Is there an alternate way to do the same thing?

  • @GamingMasterErnest I'm not sure about that, sorry :(

  • @richardsimpotuts Usb mouse will work

  • Very nice. Takes a bit of adjustment since I'm using a Mac (in before "PC is better") so some of the keystrokes are (barely) different, but nicely explained and nicely shown! Makes this program seem a lot less intimidating for a beginner.

  • @sturmwalzer Thanks :D I was intimidated by the interface when I first started learning. I have a mac so I'll go on blender on there and get used to key shortcuts. Then I can mention them in newer videos :)

  • @richardsimpotuts I think it's mostly because I'm currently dealing with a touchpad (I've lost both of my laptop's mice somehow). I've no idea if they get different elsewhere since I haven't had a chance to explore the program much further. :)

  • @sturmwalzer Sorry, what was this about again? :)

  • THAT is a Very good tutorial, well spoken, clear tone of voice, accurate in terms of the language you use. Nice and slow for us beginners .. I wish all the tutorials on youtube were to this standard! Definitely getting a thumbs up and my subscription! Keep up the great work :)

  • @7thAttempt Thanks a lot! I have two more tutorials ready to upload. They arent as loud though because i have to use my webcam microphone :(

  • i dont fucking get it

  • @tomalotube What exactly don't you get?

  • this... is.. fantastic. if there were enough tutorials to cover everything in blender just like this, it would be everything !

  • @IcarusFlying Thankyou :). I need to get some more made. Hopefully I will get some done after christmas!

  • tnx it works

  • @30eraser Great :D

  • Great video, loving the accent :P

  • sorry my english isnt perfect yet and I didnt understand what key you pressed after right clicking the cube and pressing the tab button 3:57 something like the key "eerr" or something ,what did you mean?

  • @Gabrielregalado2 Ah sorry, I said the A key.

  • how do I deselect after I extrude the box? Im not able to select anything else....=(

  • @GrawrRH if you want to de-select the polys, just hit A. If you want to deselect that whole mesh, hit tab then A. I think this is correct. I havent used blender for a while.

    :)

  • what keyboard key can I use to freely view the model? I use a track ball so there is no middle mouse button.

  • Also, it keeps screwing up on the atom.

  • I have Blender. The first picture I was planning on making was a blender in a kitchen with .org on it where the buttons were. Then I was planning onn making a Warhawk movie trailer. Sadly, I haven't found the urge. T.T

  • ..Theres a problem. At 2:05 you say to zoom it with the middle mouse button, and i dont have one because i have a laptop.

    ..What should i do?

  • @sakura1406 Use the scroller? Hope that helped.

  • @sakura1406

To Zoom: Press "Ctrl + Alt + Left Click" hold pressing and pull the cursor

up, down, or around the screen if you play a little with the cursor

To Rotate: " Alt + Left Click" hold pressing and pull the cursor

up, down, or around the screen

  • Great tutorial, and understood every word!

  • Can you do a Video for fluids?

He said "if we press A on the keyboard.."

  • Hi five for the very good tutorial!

  • how do i move the camera (I don't got the middle mouse button)?

  • @zzxcrozzy do you mean rotate the view? if so then just hold

alt + Left click and move the mouse. if you want to just move the camera then select it and drag the arrows and press R to rotate it. You can also rotate the camera on different axes by pressing R and X,Y, or Z depending on which axis you want to rotate it on.

  • @TheWaynelds No, I meant the view. Like he does at 2:10-2:17. Pan around the view. He said hold down the middle mouse button. but i just got the left and right mouse button! Thank's for answering. Sorry for bad english:D

  • Thank you for the tutorial! =D

  • AMAZING! thank yo so much. I learned a lot

  • good job. tnx a lot

  • You are really good at tutorials. You don't just mumble to your self and do stuff, you always say what you are doing even if it is self explanatory so tech challenged people like me know what's going on.

Thanks for this, it helped me a lot. Blender is different from all other 3d programs, and is hard to learn. :)

  • 3Ds Max is way more better then this :P

  • @crouch4lifecracks but it's not free

  • Just for the record - Windows 7 does not help with anything

  • I love you. You're the ONLY person who made the basic blender operations understandable (at least for me)... Also, your accent rocks my socks!

  • Its painfully difficult to understand your accent
