I can't seem to find the exact answer to this question anywhere, so I'll ask you. With ONLY the included software and/or hardware, what is the maximum amount of time that this can record video before it runs out of memory?

@pokegamer123 as long as you have memory. It depends on the card, but with 1Gig I would assume 10-15 minutes or so per 1gig

I have the same one. It will only record for 25minutes or 2GB. You then have to re-press the record button. I was so disappointed with Sony when i discovered this. I can accept that the files are only 25 minutes long, but why can't the camera restart by itself ? That is just a line or two in the firmware.

@bennie628 because its not a wmv file, which is needed for windows movie maker. get 'Any Video Converter' online for free and convert to a wmv file, which makes it no longer hd, or get windows live movie maker, sony vegas, or a mac with imovie.

having an issue importing the video/ images files off the sony onto the computer tryed installing the software that came with the cd. also when plugging the camera in via usb if will only reconize in 26 mb of internal memory not the 4 gig card HELP!!!!!!!!

@cellmedia1 It should show up as a drive or drives on your computer with or without the software. Can you record to the internal memory and play back from it? If not try formatting it. If you have video on it already you could always try using a card reader to get your content off and then format after so you don't lose any data.

@ride2die812 The videos are fairly standard and should work with imovie or windows movie maker or any others. If you are having issues still you should try and convert them before importing even thought that is a bit of a pain.

you just rotate the lens and it turns on
