This song has helped me get threw some devastating moments in my life. It helped me vent in a time of tragedy and for that I am thankful. Thank you Piano Magic, truly...
The energy in this song simply kicks ass. And a nice edgy video to go along with it. I don't care if he sounds like Barney Sumner or other obvious 80s influences, I liked that music back then and I still like it! Plus anyone who works with Brendan Perry (You Never Loved This City, etc.) has got to be a cool bloke. Thumbs up from me.
I like Piano Magic. "Crown Estate," "Saint Marie," "Disaffected," et al. They are very original in some spots, very unoriginal in more recent places (recent stuff). This song is great AND original - reminds me affectionately of Xymox and the Low Life album.
But seriously, listen to the new album. There is no denying Glen Johnson wears his influences on his sleeve.
If you're defining "song" by the conventional - ie, verse/chorus, etc then this is probably not the band for you. They have always been much more progressive than that.
I agree that they are obviously inspired by some music from the 80's but a) I don't think that's a bad thing as long as the influences are good ones b) I strongly disagree that their music is not original. They've consistently been changing direction since they started - far more than most other bands I could mention.

I think this song is without energy and every second is just the same... nothing musically happen... I saw you are a musician so...why do you like this song?
I cannot find energy in this song or moving feeling: if I need electronic music I prefer Prodigy (more energy).
About "where's the song": When this band play a song I stay down in my chair waiting for the rest of the song... 'till the end: It seems uncompletely...
Rene from the gathering made me discover them! I owe him the pleasure of listening to this!

@mojorising30 Are you basing this just off of this track? If so, please listen to full album. I think it is his best stuff since Artists Rifles.

I like the beat of it, it gives me a moving feeling.. You're right, there are not many changes in it, but I still feel like it has some energy.
I didn't understand what you meant, when you said "where's the song", sorry about the slightly rude comment..
