This reminded me of a girl I know.

She is very cute. We first met during my graduation ball where she asked me to dance with her. At first I was very cold towards her but in the end we fell in love and somehow I had to save her from outer space.

Oh and she turns out to be a sorceress as well.

FF8 is one of my top 10 fave games ever for a reason! That soundtrack! Probably the best I've heard in a game.

Not only that, but FF8 did so many NEW things with gameplay, narrative, and presentation that its hard to look back and see why it was controversial yet it was so innovative. It was a layered narrative about a son & father, contrasting their lives as they get to grips with their respective relationships while growing as soldiers. Music was an essential element in this masterpiece =)

@kingofthesharks yep i gotta agree with you on everything. especially that perspective/generation/father-­and-son thing. come to think of it, some of these games have a deeper story than many books i have read, and the way they are told is truly modern and it's a shame these stories don't get recognized more. and yes the soundtrack for this definitely stands out, it's also one of my favs.

@RFouts0 You've got a PC, though. I think Final Fantasy 7 & 8 are available on PC, not just playstation. However, I think those 2 are the only ones transferred to PC, unless you count the 2 online MMO games FF 11 and 14.

Everytime I see your name in my sub box I get incredibly overjoyed! Im so glad that you're posting videos more often now. Im unfamiliar with the original melody but Im a fan of this video for musical and artistic reasons. I find it intriguing that this video has a coincidental wine-coloured hue to it! It really resonates with the title.

@Arrow9100kj thanks man, and yeah the wine color was indeed a nice touch, i didn't even notice it until i actually edited the video. it seems that the color correction of my camera is doing a good job. perhaps the automatic setting feature even detects song titles and adjusts the color temperature :)

You know, it's really great to see someone of your talent playing these so-called "lesser pieces" which aren't rated as highly as the Piano Collections simply on a difficulty level. But the pieces you play sound truly magical, it's great to listen to different tunes being played so well - and once again a simple yet beautiful end to the piece. Great job on adding the melody into the right hand too and getting it to sound so smooth - it's not easy!

@unusualcatperson hi, thanks. and yeah you are right, the sound is a bit muffled, probably because i recorded this at way too high volume levels. there even was some distortion that i had to fix. gotte be more careful with mic settings.

@drunyon214 yeah it also plays in the hotel room scene with laguna and julia. i always thought that this is a nice contrast because the hotel room scene is a depiction of fear while the space scene is one of courage. how the piece is used in between these two scenes is very special.

I love how you integrated the two melodies with the right hand in this one. You play it so smooth that visually it almost looks like your not playing the main melody at all. Very nice V! :) Also it's ironic because I actually had this song stuck in my head last week lol. Again, I love that grand piano and I hope you can get to a spot where you can own one someday.

I love your videos because you don't always choose the "favourites". It gets boring when everybody always plays "Aerith's Theme" or "FF7 Main Theme" etc, even though they are great.

I really wish now that the symphonic concerts and orchestrations of Final Fantasy can pick a wider variety and play tracks that represent moments within the games.
